CHAPTER 20: RETURNING TO WORK TO LIVE

Arriving at Ila's house, she felt her body tired and weak.

Seeing it all, Jesi and Angga helped Ila because her body was still very weak back then.

The mother was outside the house because she was anxious to think about her son who still did not come home, while her sister was asleep. Mother from a distance saw three people walking towards her house and was immediately surprised it was Ila and her friends. Seeing Ila who looks limp with the help of her two friends, the mother told her to take Ila to her room so that she could immediately lie down.

"Why did he get like this?" (sobbing crying)

"I'm sorry ma'am, the motorcycle tire leaked so we just decided to walk while leading it plus maybe Ila was very tired because the activity was at the top" explained Jesi at length

"Ila is indeed her son is very easy to get sick if excessive fatigue" said Mother

"Let's sit down first, I'll make you some warm tea." continued Mom

The two of them, Jesi and Angga, were in the living room drinking warm tea made by Ila. Ila's mother thanked them both for bringing Ila home safely.

The next day, Ila woke up and her body felt all the pain. She came to him and brought a healthy breakfast and medicine for Ila.

"Mother, I'm sorry." said Ila

"I'm sorry for what son. You're here, I'm happy." said Mom

Mother told Ila to eat breakfast that morning and immediately rest again. But Ila felt astonished because she had to work that day.

"Wait mom, I have to get ready to go to the office" Ila told her mother

"You're still sick, son, just rest at home." asked Mom

"I'm already okay mom, it's a pity mom if I take a day off I get a pay cut if permission" said Ila

With a whine Ila pleaded with her mother to allow her to work that day. Ila also promised her mother not to be too tired and also did not forget to eat so that her body quickly recovered.

He got ready and rushed off. When he came out the door, Angga came to his house. Ila drove Angga away but she did not want to, her mother heard a commotion and finally came out.

"Oh nak Angga. Want to meet Ila?" ask Mom

"Yes, I think Ila's still sick. it turns out."

"Yes son, Ila forced to work even though his body was still weak" said Mother

"No ma'am, I'm healthy." said Ila

Angga invited Ila to go with him. Ila had rejected Angga's invitation, but because his mother forced him he finally obeyed his mother's words.

During the journey they both just remain silent without a word said from the mouth of Angga or Ila. Angga did not want to make Ila's mood not good because of him, so he chose to just shut up.

Having arrived at the office, Ila got down from Angga's car and many people were staring at her cynically.

Ila did not respond too much to it all, she chose to quickly enter her office space only. There was already visible Jesi who was in his room and Ila also approached him.

"Are you healthy?" ask Jesi

"Of course, I must be eager to find money for my family" said Ila with a sigh

"It could be you, La." (with a smile looking at Ila)

After heading towards the Jesi room, Ila headed to her room. There was already a lot of work that he had not finished.

He was still eager to do it all because of this he did solely to support his family.

Time shows it's daytime. Ila decided to go to the office cafeteria because she did not bring supplies from home. He is not only alone but he invites his best friend Jesi.

The two of them also had lunch in the canteen, before long Angga came to his seat.

"Hi, can I join you here?" ask Angga

"May.can be a big boss." said Jesi (as a form he respects the big boss)

Ila was there just silent without saying anything because she knew there were many people and she did not want to vent her emotions in front of the crowd.

The voice of Jesi's phone rang, he got a call from his boss to immediately send the company file. Jesi rushes from there and permission to Ila he must quickly send the file. Ila can't hold Jesi back from doing that because it's a form of responsibility from her job.

"I go first." said Jesi

"Yes." answered Ila

now there are only the two of them, Angga and Ila. because Ila has finished her lunch she decided to leave there immediately, but it was prevented by Angga he reasoned to want to talk about something important about work to Ila. Ila could not refuse the request from Angga, she complied.

"So this way, you will be transferred to a higher position by your boss" Angga said

"Are you happy about it?" continued Angga

"Of course, who wouldn't want to step up." (answered with his pretentious attitude)

Angga understood the circumstances of Ila who had to be the backbone of his family since his father died so he ordered the boss Ila to move him to a higher position without his knowledge.

"Is that all you want to say?" ask Ila

" Yes." answered Angga

"Well if there's nothing to talk about anymore I'm leaving now." with a sweet smile (Ila is pretentious because she is now the center of attention in the cafeteria for talking to an important person, the big boss Angga).

"If not seen by the crowd I would not behave like this to him" Ila said in her heart

Ila stepped up her legs very happy to hear the information that she was about to step up. Angga who saw Ila who was very happy was also happy. But without realizing Ila's phone was left on the cafeteria table earlier and thankfully Angga saw it and he rushed to Ila's room to give her his phone.

" Yes, come in" said Ila

" Can anyone help?" tanya Ila (she is in a position staring at the laptop without seeing who came to her)
