Midnight under heavy rain and thunderous lightning, Sky had just returned home. He found Elisha asleep in the room, with the man's clothes drenched under the glint of lightning that burst through the window. His feelings were filled with guilt, the loss of a child certainly made Elisha feel sad not to mention the fact that he only made Elisha a tool of revenge on something that he himself had not ascertained the truth.
Sky immediately changed clothes and decided to stay in the room, sleeping in a chair by the window. Not long before he fell asleep the nightmare that almost came lately reappeared. The shadow of his sister who seemed to haunt him to avenge, but one thing that Sky knows for sure that the dream appeared because his subconscious is still difficult to reconcile with the incident. The events that unfolded so deeply.
When Sky's moaning roused Elisha, the woman immediately came down from her bed, threw away the blanket and walked up to Sky. Seeing the man's face look pale as well as cold sweat that poured. "Master.. Wake up!"
Several times Elisha shook Sky's body up to the third time finally the man blinked open his eyes fully. He exhaled softly feeling calm as he looked at Elisha in front of him. Sky hugged Elisha's arm and the woman felt the trembling of her husband's body so she tried to calm him by stroking the man's back.
Let it be so for a while until it is felt that Sky has calmed down. "You had a bad dream?" after hearing Sky's explanation earlier this afternoon, he felt sorry for the man that maybe Sky had also experienced something difficult for many years. Elisha felt he did not deserve to judge Sky for the time he had done to him, Elisha tried to understand Sky's condition.
Sky nodded then grabbed Elisha's hand and kissed the woman's palm. "Yes, I've had this dream for decades."
"Don't you want me to take you to a psychiatrist?"
Sky shakes. "No, let it go. I guess after knowing the truth, I'll be much better."
"Well, it's not good to rest in a chair like this, what if you go up to the bed and tomorrow we have to go to the village immediately to take the notes belonging to father."
"You're letting me sleep next to you?"
Elisa remained silent. "Hm, I mean you can sleep in this room. I'll sleep in the other room!"
"Then I'm not grateful, I'd rather sleep in this chair than sleep without you!"
Elisha crossed his arms around his chest. "Since when have you cared so much about this? Don't you remember the beginning of us moving here? You deliberately slept apart even choosing to sleep with another woman!"
"Sorry" said Sky.
"Can you apologize too?"
"Elis, I've regretted everything. I'm also a human who can change, don't you believe?"
Elisha nodded slowly. "Honestly, I don't fully believe it. I just want to see how much you sacrifice for me. If I ask you to leave that dark job how would it be?"
Sky furrowed his brows. "You mean stop being a city?"
Elisha nodded. "True, my dream is to live happily with my husband and son in the village. Take care of our plantations and farms, hunt and do other fun things with nature."
Sky stood up then slipped Elisha's hair behind the woman's ears gently. "It's a beautiful dream, but I haven't been able to grant it. Someday, I'll make that happen for you I promise."
"You talk like you've had a long time with me, what if I'm not?"
"Elis, what are you talking about? Do you still want to go back to your ex-boyfriend?"
"Good, now and forever no one will ever be able to take you away from me, not even an angel!"
"Sir, your words are getting more hyperbole!"
"If you like sweet words, I would study them ten times. Just so you will forgive me for my cruel deeds first."
"You think my apologies are so cheap? Never mind, you better rest in bed."
"I'll take you too!" Sky held Elisha in his chest and then slowly threw the woman on the bed.
"Let's sleep together?"
Elisha nodded. "You're usually.."
Sky's hand cut off Elisha's words. "Please, forget my bad habits. Now, I just want to open a new page with you."
Then they laid their bodies side by side, with Sky embracing Elisha so tightly. This was the first time Elisha felt so loved by her husband, as did Sky, who first showed affection for someone. Elisha was asleep in Sky's arms and vice versa, until in the morning the two were busy packing clothes to go to the village.
"Miss, what else should I bring?"
"Your clothes! Of course you should come with me to the village."
"Well," Nori waltzed off to pack her clothes as well. Not long Sky down with a white shirt and his new brown vest. The handsome man looked fresh with his new haircut wearing a bit of hair oil and also cut the hair flat on his face.
Elisha grinned while amazed to see her handsome husband. "Unbelievable, how can there be such a creature in this world?"
"Surely there is, I'm yours now." Sky hooked his hand to Elisha's waist. "I'm sorry, every time I see you I feel guilty. I hope we can start a new chapter, now that I don't care what the truth of all this is, I'm still going to love you. I wish you were too!"
"Don't be in a hurry, I want us to find out everything and solve the problem that traumatized you for decades right away."
Sky held Elisha's hand. "You believe me? Promise me whatever the truth is never to leave me alone. You know, how foolish I was to realize that you meant so much to me Elisha."
"Sir, are you ready?" nori suddenly appeared with all the items already prepared. Elisa and Sky threw their crisp laughs at each other and then joined hands out of the house and helped Nori put the goods into the trunk of the car.
Nori looks so happy to see his employer so happy with the man he married. Although he also had time to feel pain after what Elisha went through, but now by seeing their condition and relationship improved he also felt that happiness. There is nothing better than seeing the child he raised happy.
Sky drove his car at a moderate pace, occasionally turning towards Elisha with a sweet smile. After five hours of travel, they finally arrived. Just dropping off the items, the two of them had already gotten a party invitation from the nobles who were delivered directly by Uncle Charly. "It so happens that you go home, this invitation is reserved for the two of you. Come, the show will be held this week."
Sky stared at the invitation letter that was now in his hands. Waving the object a few times, he turned to Elisha who entered with Nori without greeting his uncle. "Well, I'll talk to my wife first."
