[24] More Unhappy Without You

ELENA POV

Almost walked 6 days Max didn't come home. The last time we looked at the house, I talked about Arnold and asked him to apologize. But Max did not feel at all guilty for what he did the other day. After that he left without telling me before. I heard from Jon, Max has to go to Europe because there is a sudden business. I don't like the sudden word in my life. Just as I got married in such a sudden state, I hated that word even more because Max repeatedly did it.

He called me a few times but I didn't pick up. He also sent me a message, but I did not reply at all. Until finally, these two days I no longer receive messages or calls from him. Strangely enough I felt like there was always something empty when he left. I feel lonely and sadder. Thinking about it wasn't enough to calm me down and answer that right now I'm fine without Max. I. want Max. I want Max home.

“Bu Elena, Mr. David said to take today is enough. You can rest,” said Rain made me melt my daydream in the middle of after married filming.

Yeah, even if Max doesn't exist. We still have to shoot as is. Because a week is only taken twice. David as director took the angle where I as the CEO's wife still have activities at home. One of them I started mingling with waiters and helping them cook. I also taught Ryan to learn as he always does. The woman's reflexes stopped her steps. “Iya Bu?”

I also bite my lips. Doubtful whether to ask or not, but if not, I'll keep thinking about it.

“Mmm M-Max, it's been 6 days. Why is he not back yet?”

“Oh that... Father didn't tell Mom?” tanyanya came back to me. I just kept quiet and did not answer. “Actually I don't know either, Mom. It seems like this is outside of work. Only Mr and Aaron know because Aaron went with Mr.”

After reaching the room I heard my HP ringing. I immediately ran towards my dresser where I put my HP. My face almost smiled wide until finally what I found was not the name Max who called me. My smile faded away with guilt.

Arnold called…

I knew Max would hate me if he knew I kept Arnold's number. He once said I can't keep the numbers of just anyone. He even wanted me to ask him for permission first. If he knows what I'm doing right now. Maybe he's. ah Max! You're so hard I understand. Did he leave because he was avoiding me? But didn't Jon say there was some sudden business? After all, I kept Arnold's number because he was my best friend. Even though I didn't keep the number, I was still able to contact her via social media.

“Halo Arnold?”

“El? I'm in front of your house now. Can we meet for a second? I've got some sketches you can see and learn. I also have some good notes for you,” Arnold said excited me right out of the room and down the stairs with half a run.

“Nona! Careful!” tina shouted as I met her on the stairs. I smiled at him who was carrying a tray of food for me.

“Wait a minute. I'm out,” I said to Arnold on my line and disconnected.

But as soon as I just wanted to open the main door of this house, Jon held me back. “Nona, where are you going? It's been very late afternoon,” he said so sounding possessive like Max.

“Jon! I'm just ahead for a minute!”

“Cannot Miss. Master asked me to look after Miss and as long as Mr. is not around, Miss should be safe inside the house.”

I took my breath for a moment. “Then you come with me to the front. I just wanted to see my friend for a minute,” I said again and Arnold let me walk.

Then he followed me from behind and asked me to get in the car with Andrew. Damn, this house is huge. It is impossible to walk to the main gate. As well as the mansion belonging to my family, there is no main gate dictionary very close to the door of the house. I'm used to it, but I always forget it.

“Nona, you know Mr. Max doesn't like to be denied. If Mr. Max finds out you met the guy at the party. He can be very angry,” Andrew said with his wheel while Jon glanced at me in the back seat of the glass.

“What Andrew Miss said. You can think before you meet him,” said Jon makes me frown.

Wanting to go to the main gate alone must be escorted with these two brothers. Even without me telling you, they already knew who I was going to meet. CCTV in this house must have been installed everywhere.

“I just want to take my book. I'm not getting out of the car. You, Jon can you get me the book Arnold wants to give me?”

Jon slightly tilted his body at me and bowed slowly. “Good, Miss,” he said then before long we arrived at the main gate with automatic open.

The handsome face smiled widely and waved his hands to the chest because my face was visible from the windshield. Then Jon got out of the car saying that he was the one who was going to take the item. I nodded in a gesture to Arnold, and with a hostile face Arnold gave up what he had brought without seeing me. Jon got back in the car and our car came back in.

“This is Miss,” said Jon and I got what Arnold mentioned earlier.

My HP rang back showing Arnold's name there. But this time he just sent me a short message.

From: Arnold

You don't look happy. You can't go anywhere. Even just to the front of the house escorted by your husband's errand boy. You can come to me anytime. I'm always waiting for you.

After reading it I was only able to sigh slowly. Am I really not happy? Lately I've been thinking about it again because Max's death in recent days has made me more unhappy. I went back to check my HP and read Max's last message. But before that I smiled because Max gave his own name in my contacts.

Sugar, if you have time, call me back. I'm sorry I couldn't hold you to sleep these few days. Miss you. Very!

My heart rippled hard every time I read it, but I was prestigious enough to reply. I miss her too and suddenly I want to cry. I miss Max.
