Chapter 37 The Lies

Instead of answering the question her mother asked, Silly instead asked Kenan about Kenan's actions that had made Silly anxious and panicked for several days.

"Remember, explain why some days you can disappear as if swallowed by the earth!" silly said with a sharp look at Kenan.

Kenan approaches Silly's face and whispers to her,

"Isn't it your brother who should be mad at you about your lies?" 

Silly's face turned tense after hearing a whisper from Kenan.

Kenan smiles sweetly at Silly and she kisses Silly's hand.

Just so bad Silly's heart melted. A red hue implied on his face. Silly's tense face was gone. Now he was smiling shyly getting such a sweet treatment from Kenan.

While Laura and Alan, they looked at each other and smiled to see their daughter was treated very sweetly by the man who became her future husband.

"Let's eat first, then we continue the conversation," said father Alan as he moved from his seat.

They all followed Alan to the dining table. There are various food menus that have been served.

"Come sir please taste my wife's cooking" Alan said, smiling at Kenan.

"Call Kenan alone sir if not in a working situation" Kenan responded to Alan's call to him.

"Well, as long as you don't call me Father, just call Papa the same as Silly called me" Alan chuckled.

"Well Pa" said Kenan, smiling sweetly at Alan.

While Alan and Kenan were chatting, Silly was busy getting Kenan some food. 

He took the rice and side dishes on Kenan's plate. After that he took the rice and side dishes for himself.

Laura was silent when her husband and Kenan spoke. She was busy watching her daughter who was serving her future husband's meal.

Husband-to-be? Is Kenan really going to be Silly's future husband? Wouldn't Silly's plan reject him? And what about Kenan? Isn't this just Kenan's plan for revenge on Silly who lied to him?

Kenan smiled at Silly who was serving him by taking him food. And Silly returned her smile so sweetly to Kenan.

"Is this all Mama's cooking?" asked Kenan after swallowing his food.

"Yes right. My wife would not want to be helped by a maid if she was cooking. So all these dishes are one hundred percent of his cooking," replied father Alan proudly as he turned to look at his wife after speaking to Kenan.

Laura smiled, she already knew that her husband would be proud of her as he had been. 

"How does it feel? Does it match your taste, Kenan?" mama asked Laura while looking at Kenan to find out the answer that was very important to her.

For Laura, her cooking hobby is the main one after her family. He would rather fight in the kitchen than spend time at the desk.

"Enak. It's delicious even," replied Kenan in between the chewing of his meal.

Suddenly Silly approached Kenan who was sitting next to her. Then she whispered to him,

"We should eat a plate together and bribe as usual."

"Ohuk!"

Kenan chokes after hearing a whisper from Silly. Kenan widened his eyes to see Silly who gave a glass filled with water to Kenan while smiling sweetly at him.

"Why Kenan, is there something wrong with the food?" mama Laura asked Kenan with her worried face.

Mama's wrong son, Kenan said in his heart.

"No Ma, it's just that Silly said, she's also good at cooking" Kenan replied with a stiff smile.

"indiscriminately. No, there's nothing I said like that. Bang Kenan aja ngorging," said Silly did not accept.

"Silly, can you really cook? Is it because you want to get married so you learn to cook?" mama asked Laura while looking at Silly seriously.

"It's not Ma. That Silly said we usually eat"

Silly is unable to finish her speech because Kenan's hand is now on Silly's lips. 

Kenan smothers Silly's mouth with his hand in the hope that Silly doesn't say everything because of her innocence and honesty.

Gawat, if Silly says everything to Mama and her Papa, she can be ashamed of me. We're not married, time' Have we played bribes, lap-laps, kisses to do so? Can be beheaded with his Papa. I had to warn Silly before Mama and her Papa knew everything.

Kenan said in his heart as his hands smothered Silly's mouth so as not to let her know everything they did to her parents.

"Why the hell? What was? Is there something you're hiding from us?" mama asked Laura while looking in wonder at Kenan and Silly.

"No Ma, it's just that Silly wanted to say something embarrassing while I was eating with her" said Kenan, whose hand still smothered Silly's mouth.

Kenan tries to cover up the facts on the grounds that he made Alan and Laura as papa and mama from Silly do not know it.

"Silly is similar to her father. I like it with books. I prefer it in the kitchen. Well now Mama is so hesitant if Silly can cook," said mama Laura while chuckling at the end of her speech.

Silly forcibly removed Kenan's hand which closed her lips. After that he scooped up a lot of oxygen before he spoke.

"Bang Kenan ih. Silly was closed in her mouth," Silly whined at Kenan.

"Udah.. already. We'll just have another conversation later," said father Alan mediating their debate.

And they continued to eat quietly, only the clanking of spoons and forks could be heard.

However, in a few moments later the atmosphere was different. Silly made their eating atmosphere cheerful.

Their jokes and laughter filled the dining room until their dinner activities were over.

"Pa, may I speak together with Silly somewhere else?" ask Kenan when they're done with dinner.

"Please. If Papa advises you to talk in the park, the view is better and the air is fresher" replied father Alan with a chuckle.

"Yes, please look at Sil, but once a beetle has settled in the flowers of Mama. You throw them out, yes." said mama Laura while chuckling.

"Ih Mama, indeed Silly lack of work what glares at the flowers Mama one-on-one? Don't want to ah" said Silly in response to her mother's orders.

Silly held onto Kenan's hand then she pulled out her hand as she said,

"Let's bang us to the park behind us."

"Aren't you in front of Sil?" ask Laura's mom when Silly and Kenan walk past her.

"No ah, later Mama and Papa nguping," replied Silly while walking to pull Kenan's hand.

Alan and Laura laughed at the answer from her daughter. Apparently Silly found out if they wanted to eavesdrop on a little of their conversation.

Now Silly and Kenan are sitting next to each other on a park bench that is behind Silly's house. They sit between the flower gardens overlooking the swimming pool.

"Sil, you want to talk" said Kenan, looking at Silly seriously.

Suddenly Silly's heart beat rapidly seeing Kenan's serious eye look at her. 

What's the matter? Bang Kenan has never been this serious. Is Bang Kenan really going to leave Silly because Silly lied to him? Silly wondered in her heart.
