The car continues to split the highway. Western songs with romantic genre sound syahdu in the ear. I silently looked at her face full of admiration. Mr. Alfin has a wide forehead, thin eyebrows, short curly hair neatly arranged, a firm jawline combined with a sharp nose.
I love the look in her soft and sharp eyes. For a moment my imagination soared imagining when we were married later. Want to drown yourself in the chest of the field that seems comfortable to lean. Share stories with each other with affection, tenderness and warmth.
"Do you want to help correct or go straight home?" ask him to throw away my beautiful daydream.
I thought back for a moment. Mr. Alfin is in need of help. This is a good time to get to know each other better. Moreover, I have never been to the cafe that he just started a few months ago.
"Okay, I'm ready to help you" I replied excitedly.
The man next door looked at my face while frowning. Looking into my eyes as if reading a thought. Then, face forward again with a smile.
"If it is so difficult to focus yes if the lesson," he said with a satirical tone.
The words kept a big question mark. I looked back - not understanding.
"What do you mean, Mom?" many wonder.
"I mean diligent study, first real school, continue college until completion. If it's time, it'll be a wedding, too" he said.
I was shocked to hear that advice. The car stopped at a red light. Looking to the side, Mr. Alfin raised his eyebrows and looked at me while laughing softly. It's just awful if he can figure out what I was imagining a few minutes ago. Don't know, my mind.
I just smiled to hide my shame and hesitated to ask why. If Mr. Alfin could have known, I would not have acknowledged or confirmed the allegation. The habit of thinking about fresh ideas before writing a story. He is the reason behind the passion in scraping the pen and reaching for dreams.
Shortly thereafter, the car turned past the local village hall building. The football field is wide on the right of the road. A row of clothes shops are right on the left side of the road. Although it is still in the same city, this place is quite far from my home.
The car finally entered the courtyard of the cafe which had a large parking lot. Down at the same time, I was amazed by the cafe building called 'Kafe Teman Sitting' which carries the theme of greenary. Exposure to green plants gives the impression of beautiful and natural. Two-story cafe with wide glass walls showing the contents of the cafe from the outside. Visitors make Mr. Alfin seem to breathe a sigh of relief.
"Welcome, princess," he said to welcome.
"Cool, you Mas" I'm full of pride.
He invited me to his cafe. Introduce friendly one by one employees who work. The cafe is not so spacious, but the slick placement feels comfortable to the eye. Unique and attractive design is used as a place to take pictures.
In the sitting area, looks classic and antique style on wooden furniture used as the interior of the cafe. The entire room is predominantly white and the walls are decorated with greenery. A collection of tiny vases does not escape vision. Everything is neatly displayed decorating the panels on the walls of the cafe. This detailed concept turned out to come from his own idea.
He took the stairs and showed me the cafe on the second floor. The open space makes me freely enjoy the natural scenery around. The second floor this time was not too crowded. Sitting on a comfortable sofa, Mr. Alfin gave me a menu list book to order food.
"Please eat as you please" he ordered.
I smiled feeling happy. Seeing the type of food offered, my choice was focused on black pepper sauce chicken and green tea drinks. Without long, Mr. Alfin called one of the employees to immediately make our order.
"This will include additional tutoring" I replied looking for an excuse.
He smiled back to show his neat teeth.
"Did they still not know you were dating?" ask him again.
I nodded in agreement. All this time I was quite closed about my love story to my father and mother. They're very strict about watching my company.
"Maybe they would be proud to know that their daughter has conquered the heart of her math teacher" I said in a slightly more stylish manner.
Mr. Alfin nodded then returned a relaxed smile. I don't know how many times my teacher smiled and laughed with me. The happiness on his face for a moment made me forget all the problems.
Mr. Alfin opened the black backpack he was wearing. Then take out some paper and put it on the table.
"I hold seven classes a week. Once every week or two, always hold a replay. So this is some paper that has been corrected please help record the results in the value book," he explained.
"Okay ready," I replied excitedly.
"Later. Eat first," he ordered attentively.
One of the waiters came to our table with food that looked appetizing. Mr. Alfin had a casual chat with the servants and was heard talking about work. Besides being good at teaching, Mr. Alfin turned out to have a good leadership spirit. Not understanding what they were talking about, I chose to eat because the stomach had not been filled with rice. The home-cooked food served is delicious on the tongue. The seasoning that permeates perfectly on tender chicken meat makes my lunch taste more delicious. After a while, some of the servants returned to work.
"I want to pray first, please eat. Calm down, for you free," he said, bowing half his body.
"Well, thank you Mr. Alfin.." I replied as sweetly as possible.
"Aren't you eating?" imbuhku asked.
"Look at your smile it feels full" she said with a smile.
That speech was able to make my heart suddenly flowery. Mr. Alfin who used to be cold in class turned out to be good at flying me on the clouds. The man who a few hours ago carried out the profession as a teacher now appears with his alluring style. He immediately left the room and headed towards the prayer place.
A few minutes later, he returned wearing a blue t-shirt paired with black jeans. On our table, Mr. Alfin provides drinks and snacks as a complement. The situation is suddenly quiet because we focus on each other's work. Mr. Alfin was in charge of correcting the matter while I filled out the list of student grades. Up to seven classes corrected, finally able to be resolved well.
A smile of relief was drawn on the teacher's face when I saw that my efforts were truly sincere to help him. Anyway I feel good to have felt privileged in this cafe.
"Oh yeah, I'll answer your question in the car. I understand that women need clarity. If you ask my seriousness, I will answer seriously. Now that I'm back, you want me to be serious?" ask Mr. Alfin suddenly.
My eyes are rounded.
