PTSD treatment aims to relieve a patient's emotional response and teach the patient how to control themselves well when reminded of a traumatic event. Methods of treatment include: Psychotherapy, which is the first choice in treating PTSD. If the symptoms experienced by the patient are severe, the doctor will combine psychotherapy and drugs (Lancaster, et al., 2016). 

At least the above theory can help us to learn about the science of psychology. How to deal with someone who has experienced a traumatic experience or PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
