My Husband is a Paralyzed Man
Chapter 25: Let Me Send You Back

Sophie frowned. He was about to reply "No need to bother James when there was a commotion around him.

He raised his head subconsciously, and the next thing he saw was Martin Lynch, who was in his fifties, walking towards him respectfully. "Madam, I'll pick you up back to Driver James's place."

There was a commotion around him.

Wendy's eyes were wide. "Dad!"

Martin turned around and glared at him. "I'm at work!"

After finishing his sentence, he turned around and smiled respectfully at Sophie. "Mrs, please do this."

Sophie felt her scalp tingling.

The one who was supposed to pick her up home as mentioned by James was actually Wendy's father?!

The gossip of the crowd grew louder, and Wendy's face was green with envy and red with anger.

After a while, he blocked Martin's path. "Dad, are you kidding me?! Who are you to do it? You actually came to pick up a minx like Sophie's house like a waitress?!"

"How strong is his sugar daddy?! Dad, you..."

Slap on! Slap on!

Not yet had Wendy finish her sentence, Martin gave a slap across her face. "How can you just judge a woman like Madam?!"

Wendy was completely confused after her father's slap.

The students around him were also confused.

Sophie bit the bullet and coughed gently. "Um, I think I'll go back alone."

After finishing his sentence, he turned around and walked towards the bus stop. However, he was stopped by Martin.

"Madam, please let me send you back."

The man in his fifties was seen pleading. "My daughter is not an adult. Please don't mind what he's doing."

Sophie pursed her lips. "I'm not angry."

"But Sir is angry."

Martin has an unpleasant face. "Master gave me a chance to open a new leaf, which was to return you home. If you refuse to come with me..."

The middle-aged man almost cried. "If you don't help me, I'm afraid I'll go broke tonight..."

"You... kidding, right?" Sophie.

Although the Moore family had a strong influence in Ayrith City, Chase was only an abandoned child of the Moore family. How could he have such a big influence?

Martin noticed Sophie's confusion and sighed. "Sir, I don't think you fully know sir."

Under Martin's distraction, Sophie finally gets into the Lincoln Stretch Limousine obediently.

After he got into the car, he could clearly hear Wendy and Martin arguing.

It seems Wendy is crying, but Martin ignores her feelings.

After a while, Martin scolded Wendy viciously and finally got into the car.

Not long after the car started moving, Sophie received Wendy's message: [Wait and see!]

Sophie did not say a word and quietly pressed the "delete ' button '.

Shortly after, the car arrived at the entrance of the Moore family home.

Martin opens the car door respectfully, makes a "this way, please' hand gesture, and greets Sophie as she gets out of the car.

As soon as the mansion's butler saw Sophie get out of the car, he ordered Martin to leave coldly before bringing Sophie into the mansion.

In the living room, a man who had a piece of black silk over his eyes was sitting in a wheelchair while sipping a cup of tea.

As soon as he heard the voice he had entered, the man said lightly, "Come here and taste the new tea this year."

Sophie pursed her lips and walked carefully. He took a cup of tea and sipped it a little.

"How's it?" The voice within the man sounded.

The man laughed. He took a cup of tea from her and poured another cup for himself. "Is there anything you want to tell me?"

Sophie frowned. "You don't need to arrange for anyone to pick me up in the future. I learned the bus route. I only had to take two buses from school to get back home. It's very comfortable."

Chase moved his lips slightly. "If I let you take the bus home, will your classmates stop gossiping about you?"

Sophie dumbfounded. "You... You knew about it all this time?"

As she thought about it, since she could order Wendy's father to pick her up home, she should have known what was happening in school very well.

Thinking of this, she inevitably steals another look at Chase.

At first, she thought that she only needed to care for a disabled man after she married him.

But now, he's getting harder to guess.

He even thought that so-called "healthy' people like him were more like being cared for by him...

Chase's lips twitched a little. "Don't tell me you think I should be a blind man who's ignorant of the outside world?"

The voice within the man held a hint of contempt for oneself.

Sophie shook her hand. "No, no!"

"I just want to know..."

"Nothing to ask."

Chase poured another cup of tea and took a sip. "You said you wanted to take care of me, so I just gave you back."

"..." - ".Sophie was speechless.

Could this be a payment act?

Besides, he didn't really take care of her, did he?

Except that time at the Moore Mansion...

At the thought of this, he took off his backpack and left it on the sofa. "Let me make you some good food tonight to get back at you, okay?"

Back when he was in the countryside, he could prepare food for the whole family by himself. His uncle and aunt praised him by saying that the food he made was delicious!

He had nothing to repay, but he was extremely adept at cooking.

The man sitting in the wheelchair smiled faintly. "alright. Please."

Ten minutes later, a woman wearing a small pink apron had already walked into the kitchen.

He had familiarized himself with the utensils in the kitchen when he had made breakfast before, so this time, he was very proficient with them.

Sophie is deft when preparing food. Initially, Lily brings some servants to help her, but they realize that Sophie herself is enough to be in the kitchen.

Looking at the lady who was like a busy bee in the kitchen, Chase's lips curved into a smile.

The butler stood by his side with his brows furrowed. "Sir, lately you've been using the Grant and Martin families... Especially Martin today. If anyone investigates the matter, they'll find your secret relationship with Lynch Group..."

His voice was full of concern. "It's not time to show yourself now. You have now used your power for Madam, is it because..."

The meaning of the butler is very clear.

Chase's problem all along will never be a problem because of Sophie.

The man whose eyes were covered by a piece of black silk had an unhappy expression on his face. "I know what I'm doing."

A useless disabled person like him had married an innocent wife like Sophie. Those people won't notice.

"But still it's better to be careful."

The butler would not remind him.

Chase leaned back in his wheelchair and closed his eyes. "You've been talking a lot lately. Is it that exhausting to be by my side?"

"If that's the case, I can let you rest and be Ben's training partner."

The butler turned pale and finally closed his mouth.
