My Husband is a Paralyzed Man

My Husband is a Paralyzed Man
Chapter 22: Forget That Idea

Chester gritted his teeth. An excruciating pain began to change his expression. "Sir, I know that the words I said earlier offended you, but you wouldn't be so vindictive like this, would you?"

"I am so vengeful."

Chase laughed lightly. He held a glass of red wine and sipped it. "I heard you kept thinking about my woman many times."

Chester stunned. "Your lady?!"

"Sophie."

Chester was struck by electricity so he couldn't move.

Sophie is very wrinkled and skinny. Besides, he's just a country man! How could he know a person with such an identity?!

She had even become a woman for such a person...

Unknowingly, Chester judged the man whose eyes were covered in silk. "You..."

"According to seniority, I should call you as my cousin." A cold smile appeared on Chase's face. "But I don't want to."

Chester, whose body was suddenly filled with coldness, immediately shook his head. "no need. I can't afford it."

"It is good that you know."

The man lightly held the glass of red wine and took a sip. "Tell me. What have you done to Sophie?"

Chester's stunned. Unknowingly, he turned around and looked at Sophie, who was at the side. "I'm..."

Standing on the spot, Sophie clasped her hands violently. He's dilemma.

"That's enough!"

Before Chester could finish his words, he was interrupted by Sophie violently.

He turned and looked at Chase. "What are you trying to do?"

Looking as if he was seeking justice for her, he had made Chester like that. After that, he even asked Chester to describe directly how he had bullied him back then?!

"It looks like it really hurt you a lot."

Chase yawned and waved his hand at Ben. "No need to continue now."

Ben nodded. He then directly pulled the iron chain and dragged Chester to the other side of the roof.

Only then did Sophie realize that there were no security measures at the end of the roof.

Back then, Ben had dragged Chester to a place that had no security measures.

"According to Ben's temper, he'll kick him out of the building any minute."

Chase still acted as if nothing had happened as he raised his glass of red wine and took a sip. "If you're bullied in the future, you should tell me."

Sophie just felt her blood turn cold.

He sees Chase before he stares at Ben, who drags Chester to the end of the roof on the other side. "I never wanted Chester dead!"

After he said that, he ran towards Ben with big strides without any concern. He instantly pulled the iron chain in Ben's hand in the opposite direction. "You have no right to determine the life and death of a person! This place is over thirty floors high. No one could survive if it fell from such a high place!"

Sitting in a wheelchair, the man's voice was still light. "Don't you hate him?"

At the back door of the university earlier, he had clearly seen his hatred for Chester in his eyes.

He had once said that he would never let her suffer injustice again, so that meant he would not let her suffer the slightest bit of grievance.

"I hate him, but that doesn't mean I want him dead!"

Sophie pursed her lips and turned to look at the man behind her. "He's my aunt's son no matter what. Even if I hate him, I won't let him die!"

When Chester saw Sophie begging him for mercy, he immediately said good things according to his situation, "I will definitely be kind from now on..."

Chase frowned slightly. He then placed the wine glass in his hand. He sounds a little upset. "Ben, set him free."

After he said that, he waved his hand at James. James immediately walked forward to push him, going with him.

Ben pouts. He then laid down the iron chains used to bind Chester. Confessing to be boring, he then left swiftly.

Chester then frantically crawled back to the middle of the roof before glaring at Sophie, who looked dazed at the side. "Why are you still in a daze there? Come and help me untie me!"

When Chase left, his tone instantly changed back to the one who had bullied Sophie in the past.

Sophie was still unconscious from the shock and fear that someone would be killed. When Chester yelled at him, he went to untie him obediently.

But unexpectedly, as the iron chain slipped off, Chester turned around and pressed Sophie to the ground, strangling her neck. "Look at what good you have done! You bad woman! You actually found someone to deal with me?!"

How could Sophie have predicted that? The person he saved by all means for offending Chase instantly turned around and pinned him to the ground.

His throat was tightly strangled. He wanted to thrash, but he could not exert himself no matter what.

Chester sounded even more furious the more he spoke, so he intensified the strength in his hands.

Pressed on the ground by him, he could not even scream for help.

Finally his sight blurred.

In the blur, he really thought of something. If he were to die like that, would it be considered that he was indirectly hurt and killed by Chase, or had he brought it upon himself by his own actions?

Initially, he wanted to release Chester just because they were relatives. But unexpectedly, it turned out to be the story of Farmer and Viper.

Just when Sophie thought that she was going to die, a dark blue arrow stabbed Chester in the hand brutally.

In the next second, the whip was held from the entrance of the roof. It whipped Chester directly until he fell to the ground, wailing heartbreakingly.

Freeing herself from Chester's control, Sophie turned around and held onto her throat, coughing nonstop.

His throat seemed so uncomfortable that it felt as if it was being pressed and flattened by something.

"Are you okay?!"

After a long time, a large slender hand extended towards him, appearing in front of him.

He was a little stunned, and he raised his head.

The light from the setting sun came from the left side, painting half of his face in golden color.

Just then, her face that was covered in black silk emitted a charming light.

Sophie looked at him, and she forgot to cough. "Why did you come back?"

His voice is so hoarse.

Chase grabbed his arm and pulled him into his arms.

His cold aura enveloped him, making him slightly dizzy.

"Of course I won't leave you alone here."

Sophie dumbfounded. "So, you predicted that she would do something to me?"

"Not really." The man glanced at Chester faintly, who was being tied up by Ben once again. "Because you really wanted to give him a chance, I thought I'd give him a chance. If he's so grateful to you after we're gone, I certainly won't make it any harder. Unfortunately... "

After he said that, Ben kicked Chester again violently.

Lying on the ground, Chester wailed heartbreakingly before finally collapsing.

"Weak." Ben kicked Chester a few times. Seeing that he was completely motionless, he casually used his legs to test it out. "He fainted."

Sophie pursed her lips. Anyone who was beaten like that would definitely faint, right?

Still, he couldn't help but ask Chase, "Then, what about Chester now? Could it be that you still want to kill him?"

"I'm not going that far."

Stretching his hands, he rubbed his smooth lips slowly. "But since he dared to have such an idea against you, I will make him abandon that idea completely from now on."
