My Husband Is - Cuek

My Husband Is - Cuek
The arrival of Papa and Mother

After a day of taking care of Rey, I wanted to wash my body which started to smell bad. A few steps up from Rey's bed, the bell suddenly rang. I quickly accelerated my feet towards the front door.

"Assalamualaik." Papa said hello.

"Vaalaikumsalam. Come in, Pa." I'm preparing Papa to come in.

Papa went inside and went straight into Rey's room. Just so bad I feel clumsy. I forgot that Rey was sleeping in her room. Dad sat down in the chair where I sat all day.

I walked closer to the two men.

"How, Rey?"

"It's light, Pa." I bite my lips.

"Sorry, Pa. Alma's been lying to Papa."

"Papa knows, Alma."

Her hair was starting to whiten, but her patient nature was incredible. Even though he was lied to by me and his son.

"After all, 24-year-old Rey lives with Papa. He still hasn't accepted you. Papa understands too."

The regret struck. Sorry because parents as good as Papa we have lied. I accepted Rey's attitude towards me, but, seeing Papa's extremely uncomfortable facial expression, made me feel a little pity.

I can't say anything either because everything Papa has revealed is the truth.

"Alma will be patiently waiting for Rey, Pa." Papa looked at.

"How lucky Rey is to get a good woman like you, Alma."

"Hem, yeah. Alma is lucky. Although Rey has not been able to accept Alma, Alma believes that sooner or later, Rey will be able to love Alma."

"Assalamualaik."

The sound of someone greeting in front.

"Waalaikumsalam," I answered softly as I walked to the front door.

"Mother?"

"elvin. Where's Rey? Is he still sick?" Mom interrupts into the house. While Dad was still busy with some luggage.

I took the initiative to help Mother's luggage.

"Rey. You've done it yet? Your cassian, Rey. Surely Alma didn't notice you so you're sick."

"Mother."

"Sir, Gunawan. Healthy, sir," said Mother who had just realized that there was a Papa near the bed.

"Okay, Miss Mira."

"Alma, please make Daddy a coffee. Dad's giddy because all the way your mom kept nagging."

"Yes, Dad."

I went to the kitchen after putting my luggage down. Immediately I made a drink for the three old men in my house. When I finished, I put some drinks and some snacks in the living room.

I went into the room and washed this body. It doesn't taste good. There's more Mom here. Maybe, I will also get sprayed.

After feeling refreshed, I saw Rey sitting on her bed. While Mom, Dad, and Papa were chatting casually in the living room. I walked over to Rey.

"You still dizzy?"

"Little."

"You, you want to take a shower? If you want me to prepare hot water."

Rey just shook her head slowly. His eyes make me feel sorry. Now, he is like a child who is spoiled to his mother.

When I turned around to get out, Rey held my hand. My heart was pounding for a moment. I turned around and saw Rey.

One sentence that made me fly. This happiness is beyond anything.

"I'm gonna get some water and a rag. Just for a second." I slowly put his hand. Really like a kid.

I quickly stepped into the kitchen and took the water in the basin and added a little hot water there. Not forgetting the little towel.

I went back to Rey's room. He was still sitting as he was just a moment ago. I put the basin on a small table next to the bed. I squeezed out a small towel and rubbed it over Rey's face. Then to some parts of his body.

The handsome face that was very close to me at the moment still looked pale. Sometimes his eyes closed a little, then opened again.

"Why, Rey?"

"A little dizzy." He moved down and put his head to sleep. While I still wipe his hands and feet.

"Want something, Rey?" my many.

"Drink."

A small towel is now replaced with a glass of water. I slowly aimed the straw towards Rey's lips. A few sips of water had already passed through his mouth.

"I'm gonna clean up this water, Rey."

He nodded slowly with his eyes closed.

"Alma, Papa wants to go home."

Just as I walked out of the room and carried the basin, Papa bailed in the living room. He then walked towards me.

"You're patiently taking care of me, Rey. If he is sick, he is like a child. Understandably, he's great without a Mama."

I'm nodding. "Yes, Pa. Alma understood."

Papa walked out after saying goodbye to Mom and Dad.

Rey, raised without a mother. Perhaps that is why, he became a very indifferent man even after he got married. Papa is very well memorized with this mere puppet. Kasian is also Rey. Perhaps, from the time he was a child, he needed the attention of the person he called Mama.

I'm sitting here, next to Rey. After finishing the magrib prayer and feeding dinner, I sat back with Rey's wrist that I was holding.

Resisting the sleepiness that began to hit these eyes. Mom and Dad sleep in my room. They don't ask much. Maybe they appreciate my feelings. Especially Rey who is sick.

The eyes were closed several times unconscious. I woke up and looked at Rey. He was sleeping because of the medicine he took a few minutes ago. His wrists also began to squeeze a sign that he had started to fall asleep.

I slowly put Rey's hand on her stomach. Tidy up the messy blanket and get up from the chair. Very slowly even like a thief in action.

My hands feel held. Who else if not Rey. I was surprised too. This time I looked slowly. I smiled wryly under the light that was on.

"Where are you going?" ask Rey in a very low tone. His voice was as limp as a very sleepy person.

"I want to sleep in the middle." I grimaced.

"Do you want to get hit by Mom's nagging if she knows you're sleeping outside?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. It is true what Rey said. I can imagine Mom's nagging. Not even on the phone in front of me.

Rey patted the empty bed next to her. Gesturing me to go there. Quite confused for sure. However, rather than he immediately change his mind, I confidently climbed onto the bed.

Rey saw. He felt me looking for my hand and holding it. He put my hand on his chest. Rey's hands are sweating. The clothes are warm too. Indicates he is feeling hot.

"You're hot, huh?"

"Little."

"Do you want me to raise the AC temperature?"

"No need. This is enough. I don't want you to get sick from the cold either."

The sweetest smile I have, I have pinned to my beloved husband. Although only simple words and small attention, it is enough to make this heart float like a kite.
