My House At the Edge of the Cliff

My House At the Edge of the Cliff
Chapter 7 Tired

The sparkle in his eyes had disappeared, a jovial character that had been attached somehow since when it had been replaced with a different nature later.

A pale face with wet eyes, then those dry lips again muttered helplessly.

"I can't stand Ki, it feels really tired"

"Speaking with Pras, make sure your in-laws don't interfere anymore in your household" Kiki said feeling pity.

A week Dian had been staying at their house, every small mistake in the house was always growing which would be ended by crying Zahira in silence.

Of course he has talked a lot with Pras, asking for his understanding to talk to Dian. But apparently Pras did not have the power to oppose his mother's speech, he only told Zahira for this test.

"Sir..let's go home!" take Pras as soon as you get there.

Zahira did not budge, he still sat down and reluctantly returned home which was no longer pleasant.

Kiki quite understood that feeling, but it would be bad if Zahira stayed there all night.

"Za. remember your content, the night wind is not good for him."

At the small persuasion Zahira finally wanted to rise, saying goodbye with a bittersweet smile while Kiki replied with a wave of his hand.

Along the way was not a word, not even a smile was there for Pras. The nature of Zahira who became quiet has invited Pras worries, especially when he holds his body feels warm.

"Are you all right on deck?" tanyakanya.

Zahira did not reply, however many times Pras asked him he did not even care. Anxiety because Pras was not there to defend him had made a wall between them, a wall that made a distance even though their skin was stuck together.

"Tomorrow I'll go to the doctor, don't need my anther. Mas temenin mamah aja, I can take public transportation by myself" said Zahira that night.

"You sick deck? then it's better to go with it"

"No, I'm just checking my contents. As I said, mas temenin mamah aja at home" he said.

The cold speech made Pras' patience thin, with an annoyed face he said.

"Enough Za, you're a little grown up?"

It was the first time Pras had mentioned his name after two more years together, feeling deprived of Zahira's affection.

"Your adult said mas? what is less than me? all the homework I do, even during pregnancy I work also help you financially"

"That has absolutely nothing to do, I just ask you to grow up a little bit in your mama's ngadepin. Most of all that mamah makutin is right and do your good as well"

"Where is it for my good? working as a robot you mean?" sindir Zahira with a firm tone.

"That's all the wife's duty, my mother also did everything you did but she never complained like you. Not your father who is little hurt and cry" said Pras at the end of his anger.

Zahira was ready to throw another curse, but her heartache was too great to silence her mouth.

With tears she chose to immerse her face into the pillow, muffling the heartbreaking cry until finally the tired it held her in a deep.

Early in the morning, when everyone was still sleeping he had woken up with his eyes moist. Regardless of the dizziness in his head that is quite torturous he did the usual routine sepet, doing homework before going to the doctor.

It is still too early, the doctor who will examine it has not come but Zahira chose to wait there. It's better than in a hot, crowded house.

Long wait until drowsiness strikes finally the doctor arrived, after a few minutes his name was called for examination.

"Mom's blood pressure is low, this is trivial but must be handled immediately. When the condition is pregnant, the mother's body must be healthy without anything less, then take the vitamins I give and rest a lot yes ma'am" said the doctor finished checking.

Actually Zahira refused to go home, but he also had no other purpose. As he walked in he just hoped today there would be a bit of calm for him, even if it was one minute.

"You've been home, check it out for a long time!" ketus Dian saw the arrival of his daughter-in-law.

"Yes, the doctor came late" he said.

Zahira continued to go to the kitchen, about to make tea and eat some biscuits to prop up her starving stomach. But when he opened the drawer where he used to store snacks there was nothing left there, astonished he immediately met Pras to ask.

"Mas, did you eat all the snacks in the drawer?"

"No, you know you don't like sweet things too much" he said.

"Who eats? I will continue to work, only today I have a holiday" he said.

No wind no rain suddenly Dian said in a high tone as Zahira stared at him.

"Why? do you accuse mama of being angry about all that? suspect you're the same mama?"

"En-not ko mah, Zahira did not say mamah" he said nervously.

"It's just a matter of snacks that you have protested, right just buy again what is difficult? besides your guest, you should layanin mamah well" he said again with a high tone.

"I-iya mah, Zahira buy a snack for a while" he said who immediately left.

It was better than continuing to face the anger of her unwarranted father-in-law, actually even if it was true that Dian ate it she did not mind. It's just that Dian's sudden anger exploded that made her even more unhappy about the existence of her in-laws.

Test Test Test Ddrrrrsssssss...

I don't know what happened to nature, this morning was so bright as if everything felt comfortable. Suddenly now a heavy rain flushed the earth without any signs, Zahira who did not carry an umbrella could only pensively look at the dark sky.

"How's this? I did not bring a cell phone to ask to be picked up" he said riled.

The sky is getting bigger and spewing water, along with the wind blowing strong bring cold to Zahira's body.

For a few minutes he could hold it, but after an hour had passed his hand began to freeze and blue at the end of the fingers. Seeing the great nature makes you think you will be stuck there forever, there is no other choice.

Zahira took quick steps, lashing the rain that every drop of water was like a needle.

"I came home." he said, shivering.

"Dad! geez..you are soaking wet" said Pras immediately approached.

"Let's go in, quickly change deck clothes so you don't get cold" he continued, holding Zahira in.

While Zahira changed her clothes Pras swiftly make warm tea, with thick blanket Zahira tried to make her body comfortable.

"This is the tea"

"Thank you mas" said Zahira took the tea.

"Why don't you ask me to pick you up? until it rains gini, how about you get sick?" pras asked worriedly.

"My phone missed the mas"

"Hhhhh, yes already.you just rest first yes." he said as he pulled the blanket up to Zahira's chin.

Zahira nodded with a smile, amid her frustration at the in-laws Pras' concern for him still hasn't changed. At least it can treat his fatigue in the face of family problems.
