My House At the Edge of the Cliff
Chapter 2 Neighborly Gossip

Marriage is a sacred ceremony in which two people take an oath before a witness and God. Promise to love and love each other until death to separate, share joy and sorrow in all time.

And when the word 'sah' said, the tears were dripping because of haru. Only then did the smile never fade on his face, welcoming the arrival of the congratulating guests.

While on the other side in the crowd, a pair of struggling eyes seemed fine.

"Yeah!" take Kiki with her hand.

Smiling bitterly Fariz nodded, walking in the footsteps of Kiki who was approaching a new pair of couples.

As soon as his eyes collided with the bride, the world stopped moving, awkwardly.

"Fariz!" call Kiki.

Instantly everything returned to normal, apparently time only passed for five seconds as he looked at Zahira with a sense.

"Congratulations." he said slowly as he reached out.

"Thank you" he said with a full smile.

Apparently up to this moment Zahira was completely blind, or he was too hopeful when all this time there was no effort. Finally Fariz decided to go home when the feast was festive, he knew enough that happiness did not include him.

In accordance with the mother's request after marriage Zahira will stay at home, now Pras is the one who came home after the event is over.

Like most couples the days they go through are so full of happiness, there is always a joke that makes them always laugh.

"Tomorrow I've left for work, please wake me up in the morning huh." Pras said as he pulled the blanket.

"Fastly you work mas, the marriage leave period can only be three days" complained Zahira who still wants to continue to spoil.

"Well how else? I'm not the owner of the company, I'm home in the afternoon anyway. You are patient, "persuade Pras.

Zahira could only snort angrily, knowing that even if she cried it would not make her husband stay home.

At the request of Zahira woke up early to help mother prepare breakfast, after finishing new he woke Pras.

They had breakfast together before Pras left for work, Zahira lovingly drove her husband to the front door where Pras would go to work on his motorcycle.

"Aduuuuhhhh. newlyweds, early in the morning already stocking love yes." shouted a neighbor who passed by in front of the house.

"Mother.morning." greet Zahira with a friendly smile.

"For Zahira, come on. I'm going to the greengrocer"

"Yes ma'am." he said to let the mother go.

"Yes, I left first" Pras said.

"Be careful on the road yes." he replied.

Zahira remained at the door until Pras completely left and lost his sight, only after he returned.

"Za.. you take care of the house for a while yes, mother wants to go buy vegetables for lunch" said the bunda who has been ready with a grocery bag.

"Eh let Za aja bun"

"You... want to shop?" asked the mother was surprised because all this time her daughter did not want to shop for a vegetable that many mothers gossiped.

"Yes bun, now Za is married so Za has to learn to shop"

Zahira resolutely nodded her head which made Mother finally give the grocery bag. Za eagerly left, but he had not yet reached the greengrocer a rumor about him was heard to make him hide to listen.

"The name is also a newlywed yes, the husband went to work already and and beautiful just to nganter to the front door" said a mother who had had reprimanded him.

"Wait three years aja deh bu. bertar again is also crazy like us" said another mother who made a group of mothers laugh.

"I remember what my mother said at that time, it was true that Zahira was married to stay with her parents"

"Is it true what I said?" the answer is to feel proud.

"Yes" the others agreed.

"And I said that Zahira was a child, so even though she was married she could not escape from her mother's claws" said the mother who made Zahira's ears hot to hear it.

"Yes, ma'am, it seems that Zahira is a spoiled child. From childhood he was like that, later also if you have a child must have a grandmother."

They nodded in agreement over the statement which provoked Zahira into his emotions.

"Eh speaking of children lest Zahira had it first, he just graduated yesterday"

"Yes, also, the name of the child today is yes. "said a mother who immediately understood what it meant.

The gossip about him was getting heated up like a furnace, as well as his ears and heart that heard it all. Unable to hold it anymore he decided to go home with annoyance, continuing to lock himself in the room even though his mother shouted.

Zahira skipped lunch and just left the room in the afternoon, when Pras came home from work.

Seeing his wife's eyes certainly makes Pras surprised, soon he also brought Zahira into the room to be spoken to.

"You why? it hurt?" tanyanya gently.

"Got me"

"Keep why?" ask Pras again.

Stammering because his tears re-unraveled Zahira also told what he had heard earlier this morning, how his heart was immediately broken because of the various gossip.

Pras can only spread, calm Zahira's heart so that there is no need to think about what people say about him.

For the time being Zahira was devastated, her heart improving thanks to the persuasion of her husband. But it did not last long, he again heard rumors about him from the neighbors who did not wear.

And now all the gossip is increasingly disturbing to make him not at home, in the end he also took a decision that must be understood by his mother.

"What's? contracted?" the mother said in shock.

"Yes, Za is married. Shame bun same neighbor, want to until when Za life depends on the mother?"

"But why are you contracting? it's just a waste of money, you better stay here so that your money can be used on other needs"

"Mother... Za never denied any mother's orders, this time only please allow Za to live independently. After all Za is not alone, there is Pras as a responsible husband" he persuaded.

As a parent it is quite difficult for the mother to let go of Za just like that, but what Zahira wants is not a sin.

If in view from various angles Zahira's desire is the right decision, as someone who has stepped on the adults should he stand on his own feet.

"Yes already then, mother will help you find a good rented house" said the mother gave up.

"Still bun" said Zahira, hugging her mother.
