My House At the Edge of the Cliff

My House At the Edge of the Cliff
Chapter 36 The Passage of Mother

A year after Dimas left the city, every day was a grim story where he would only spend time working. Sometimes his mother calls to ask the news, without enthusiasm he will answer everything well certainly does not include his heart.

Because of his heartbreak he decided he would let the wound heal over time, but what he got was a dull monotonous life.

The untouched heart grew cold, no one could see where it was because the moss had covered it. Now after the thousands of seconds he had spent forgetting to be moved by a sad news, he had to go home and mourn his fatal mistake.

Along the way his heart was broken without any calm, his hands were trembling and claustrophobic when the car glass he had opened. It took at least three hours at high speed until he finally arrived, a yellow flag fluttering about his return.

The people had gathered since earlier, the faint sound of crying for a moment made him afraid to take a step. But everyone forced him to enter the house, so he ventured to move forward.

At the door, Fariz with a black peci looked at him full of sadness. Soon he approached and hugged his friend, with Fariz whispering "Patience."

But that sentence made her emotions explode, her heart dam broken and shed tears profusely. Flowing long to the chin and falling on the dusty floor, in a bow of regret really now nothing can be solace.

It took at least a few minutes until Dimas could control his heart, with the help of Fariz he went inside to see the body of the mother who was ready to be buried. The roar of tears back into a heart-wrenching canticle, even Fariz who had been satisfied crying since last night again shed his tears.

They could not see a child who had now become an orphan, a time when he should have spent his time and money. The ideals now live in the footsteps, the luxurious house is no longer meaningful.

Until finally the funeral procession took place unable Dimas mengikhlaskan, he continued to call his mother's name hoping there will be an answer.

But after the last land was shed nothing happened, with a heavy heart he had to leave the place.

"Don't torment me with your cries, let me go in peace" Pinta Fariz said, though she also felt lost.

"It's all my fault.if I don't leave my mother.if I don't think of myself. There's still a lot I want to do with my mother." Dimas said regretfully.

Fariz understood Dimas's current feelings, so he would only stay by his best friend's side to accompany him. Keep it until he fell asleep because he was tired, the next day without the presence of a mother figure who used to welcome how the house was very quiet.

Every corner of the room as if he saw the figure of a mother who was working on her routine, once he entered the room there should be a mother who was resting in her bed.

But the mattress was neat, spotless and without a mother there. Pilu again made him cry, with regret mixed with longing he hugged the blanket that mother used to wear. His red eyes went around staring at the room, until his eyes caught a wooden box on top of a cupboard that felt like nothing before.

Dimas was already walking about to pick up the wooden box, but his nostrils suddenly smelled the aroma of typical mother's cooking. Soon he ran to the kitchen, hoping that there would be a woman he loved there.

But when he arrived there, he found Kiki, cooking a meal for breakfast. For a moment they were silent as their eyes clashed, but then Kiki said "Sit down, all day yesterday you must have not eaten."

"What are you doing here?" asked Dimas with a trembling voice.

"What would your husband say if he found out early in the morning you were crawling into a man's house? whatever the reason you shouldn't have come here!" hatch Dimas.

How heartbroken Kiki heard those words, she did not expect Dimas would be so hateful that he would not look at his face again. Even his words were full of so great a grudge, succumbing because he knew he was guilty so he complied.

After the departure of Kiki Dimas can only daydream, think of his fate which is now a kara. His hazy mind finally led his opinion to Kiki's betrayal, if Kiki was still waiting for his return, of course, currently being flanked by two women who are so valuable.

Brakes

Unknowingly his hand hit the table violently, the anger that had overflowed finally made him make up his mind. He will ask to be transferred as planned, he will stay in the house even though he has to live alone because someone has to pay for his suffering now.

Lucky today he is on holiday so he can go to the airport to take Sarah, as they often talk Sarah will go home and start a new life there with family.

Although heavy but Zahira had to let go of the departure of his fellow profession, because this has all become their own path.

Zahira also next year will follow and for that he must smile happily, while waiting for the time of their departure fill the time with a lot of chatting.

"You can go home too!" exciting Zahira.

"I've been looking forward to it for a long time, I'll start building my own business until it works. Don't forget after you return home you must visit me" Sarah said.

"God willing, my husband's business is going well so I hope I can go home on schedule."

"You're so lucky to have such a trustworthy husband, your hard work here paid off already. When you come home later you just have to enjoy it, different from me who has to start from the beginning."

"I'm very grateful to have her, but you're also lucky that you just left the family. While I have to leave my son, believe me it's harder."

"Both are hard, we have our own way of life. Want like anything I hope our friendship can last because I am lucky to have a friend who is always there for me," said Sarah stared intently.

"I hope so too" Zahira replied.

The messages must finally come to an end because it was time for Sarah to leave, the last time she gave each other a hug and prayer for their salvation.

Zahira did not think he would feel so moved to shed tears, if remembered again it was only Sarah who was always there to hear her complaints during her work there. Now for a year he had to fight alone, completely alone.
