CHAPTER 23: The Beginning of Bad Destiny

I walked briskly until I half ran down the aisle of the hospital which felt very long. Again I regret my dirty deeds, things I shouldn't have done because I and Beby weren't married. I held back my tears, with a broken heart and full of regret I searched the room where Mom was cared for.

"Lia!! Lia!! Here!" Rendy called out to me from a distance because I was confused looking for where Mom was.

"Ren, where's mom? Mom, how's she doing?" I approached Rendy and was very anxious to find out about her condition.

"You sit down, don't panic. My mother is now under the supervision of a doctor. Now I'm still in the IGD and we have to wait here until we get the latest news on mom's condition." Rendy slowly explained to me who was panicking so much that it felt like my heart was very weak.

"I miss Ren, I left my own mother." My crying broke unstoppably again

Rendy was sitting next to me, she was holding my fingers cold and pale, I put my face in her left arm.

"If mom why-why am I how Ren? I want you to be healthy again." I continued while shedding tears.

"Eatya do not like to leave mother, let alone to lie to mother." His ideal.

"meaning?" I don't understand what Rendy's saying.

"I know you lied to mom. You didn't go with your friends, did you?!." Rendy's silent words made my crying stop.

"I mean... You're.." I held my head up and looked at his now very serious face.

"A week ago mom said you wanted to go out with your college friends. The plan is I want to come to the place you are on vacation with your friends. And then I went to your college, I dug out the outing information from almost all of your college friends but no one knew about it." His tone seemed to intimidate me.

"I'm sorry Ren, I was wrong." My answer is drowning.

"You must have gone with that om-om, right?!" Suddenly asked.

"He's not an om-om, he's my girlfriend." Reply slowly.

"Whatever, obviously you go with him until your skin is charred. You're going to the beach?" He replied indifferently while standing tidying up his shirt.

"Hmmm..." I'm nodding.

"I don't know what will make you stop lying to your mother. My advice is you better be honest with mom about your relationship with her. But, later if mom's cured." He's advising.

"I'm sorry Ren." Sad say.

"I'm sorry for your mother, not me. If I'm frankly disappointed in you." He then gave me a bottle of mineral water, which I immediately greeted and drank.

"If you want to feel good with the om, you most do not contact your mother, ask how she is, have eaten yet, again what. So nice is the holiday both the same om sampe forget the same mother." Rendy spilled her frustration on me.

I don't dispute it, because I admit that I was wrong. I did go with Beby and had a nice vacation while mom was sick.

"Stop Rendy's! I'm again worried about the situation of mother, you don't need to add to my uncomfortable feeling with my ugly boyfriend." My voice is rising.

Suddenly the voice of someone I knew called my name.

"Lia... " It turns out Beby's coming.

"Bebys! Beb, I still don't know what mom is doing, I'm really worried." I hugged Beby.

"Lia, are you all right?" Holy hooch! That's Anita's voice.

"Anita... Ye... When is that from?" I looked behind me and was very surprised by Anita's presence. I immediately released my embrace from Beby. I'm so worried if he hears me calling his father 'Beby'. Beby did not welcome my embrace warmly and looked nervous.

"I just arrived. Your mom's dad said you were sick, so I'm here." He said in a weak voice.

"Anita, I'm sorry I and dad just now..." I don't know why I wanted to explain why I hugged her father

"Neverything Lia, my father your father too. I understand you need a father figure to make you." Anita smiled at me, while Rendy seemed to hold back her laughter. He could laugh at a time like this.

"Thank you Anita. You're not sick anymore?" I asked him to be nervous.

"Yes, that's why I met the doctor earlier. When did you get to the hospital?" Anita's question really confused me, I glanced at Rendy and her face showed as if she was enjoying my guilt.

"Yesterday night, Anita. Rendy helped bring me here." Saying slowly.

"Rendy's a standby girlfriend huh. Hope you guys are a match

"Aami... The plan is that if mom gets well, we're getting married." Rendy said it while joking. I just glanced sharply at Rendy while she was smiling mocking me.

Soon a nurse came to see us and said that she could be looked at by one person and soon the doctor would also want to see me as a patient's child.

I went into the room where my mother was being treated, I saw her using a breathing apparatus. My heart was broken once I saw my weak mother helplessly, I unconsciously shed my tears.

"Mother how's mom doing? Lia sad to see mom is sick, mom is healing." I said as I clasped my mother's hand tightly.

Mom just looked at me and shed her tears without saying a word. Before long a doctor came to see me and said that if the mother had a mild stroke, the mother had to rest a lot and regularly take the medicine given. The mother also has to be helped a lot to do her daily activities.

I was crying more and more, I was sad and felt very sorry for lying to my mother and leaving her alone. It flashed in my mind for a moment about how I was going to continue my life with my mother's frail physical condition like now.

I called Rendy and relayed everything the doctor said. Rendy tried to calm me down, but my heart was in a state of turmoil, as if my world had stopped spinning.
