Lunch with Devan

We finally got home.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen," said Dion.

"Down your voice, Dion. Bella's asleep" I whispered.

"Let me take Miss Bella to her room" whispered Dion.

"no need. You can go home now Dion, your job is done" Allard declined.

"Good, sir. I went home" said Dion.

"I'll take Dion to the front, yeah" I'll let Allard.

Allard nodded.

I took Dion to the front of the gate.

"Thank you for taking care of grandma today, Dion. Thanks to you, we can all enjoy taking a walk today" I said.

"Together, miss. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the walk. Then excuse me." Dion got into his car and drove off. After confirming that Dion had left, I entered the house.

In room.

Allard's working on something. I approached her and hugged her. Allard who felt my embrace, faced straight at me and returned his embrace.

"What's wrong?" ask Allard.

"There's nothing, I just want to hug you" replied I, who continued to hug Allard.

"It's not usually like this" Allard said in surprise.

I'm just chuckling. "What are you working on?"

"Some documents to bring tomorrow," he replied, still focusing on the document.

"Is it still a long time?" my many.

Allard nodded. "Yes. You go to sleep first."

"I want to sleep with you" I asked.

"Sorry, sweetheart. This document is very important for tomorrow so I have to finish it first. You go to sleep, I'll sleep when this document is finished" he said.

I let go of his embrace and looked at the document. "Can I help you?"

"no need. I can finish it myself," he refused.

"It'll be faster if it's done together" I said.

"Little bit. You just have to explain it and I'll do it well" I replied.

"alright. Sit here, I'll explain." I obeyed Allard's orders. I took a chair and sat down next to him. Allard explained what I had to do. Since Allard explained very well, I quickly understood.

30 Minutes later, all the paperwork was done.

"Thank you for your help" Allard said.

"Either. Allow me to say what I said, the work will be done quickly because it was done by both," I replied.

Allard nodded. "Let's get to bed. You must be tired."

Allard and I got into bed and lay down. Allard hugged me and stroked my head. "Sleep it's late at night."

Allard was surprised to hear my question. "Why are you asking like that?"

"Of course I love you" he replied.

Allard did not answer.

"Aren't you going to answer?" my many.

"It's not. It's just that I'm still confused. I love you but I don't know if I love you or not. I don't understand what love is" she said.

"Try to think that one day you lose me, will you be able to live the day without me?" my many.

Allard. "I think I can. I just had my day as usual and busied myself with work."

I nodded at Allard's reply.

"I'm just curious" I replied.

Lies. Actually I love Allard, I love him very much. But I don't know if I can say that or not. The words of the person I met at the market last night always come to mind.

Is our time that much? I don't know why I don't feel good. I always felt that there would be a big problem that would happen later. I said in my heart.

Grandmother's advice at that time also suddenly crossed my mind.

"Now let's go to sleep. We still have to work tomorrow" Allard said breaking my daydream.

"Ah it's time to work again tomorrow" I complained.

Allard just chuckled at hearing it.

The day turned, I went through the days as usual. Take care of the patient and examine him. But sometimes I can't focus because I always remember what that person said. I am still curious about the meaning of his words.

I'm in a place where I shouldn't be and I have to go back where I came from? Where should I be? Thought.

In the middle of my daydream, someone knocked on the door of my room and entered. "Hi Alexa."

"I don't have the mood to eat yet" I replied.

"I invite you to eat with me. You can tell me your problem. We are friends" he said.

"I don't have any problems" my dear.

Devan looked at me sharply. "Alexa, I've known you for over 7 years. When you're in trouble, your job's a mess."

"My work is not a mess. I'm just a little out of focus" I replied.

"See? You admit that today you are not focused" he said.

I let out a breath. "I never won against you, Devan."

Devan chuckles at him. "Hehe then let's go to the cafeteria."

Me and Devan went to the cafeteria.

The cafeteria was as crowded as ever. I decided to order a meal that was not too much for the buyer so as not to queue for too long.

After ordering food, Devan and I sat by the window.

"So what's the problem? Did you fight with your husband?" ask Devan.

I'm shaking. "No. I didn't fight with Allard. Why do you think that?"

"Who knows. What then? Is this related to Bella's treatment?" guess it.

"No. Bella has fully recovered and she has returned to Indonesia" I replied.

Devan was surprised to hear that. "When?! I don't know."

"2 days ago" I answered briefly.

"Thank God Bella's healed. So Bella can travel wherever she wants" he said with a smile.

"Hahaha yes. Bella did it yesterday. Bella asked to be invited to the night market and she really enjoyed all the games that were there until she was exhausted when she came home" I explained.

"That's great news. Allow me to take him for a walk next time, "he said.

"Of course he has the right. He's been taking care of Bella all this time so it's certain Bella will obey all Allard's words. Anyway not necessarily Bella will accept your invitation hahaha," my lead.

The seller came and gave us our order. "Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen, this is your order."

"Ah yes thank you, sir." Me and Devan ate it.
