Religion can provide guidance/guidance to mankind in living life covering all aspects of life. In addition, religion can also help humanity in solving various life problems that are being faced. As for the aspects of the approach through religion in providing midwifery and health services include :

Religion gives instructions to humans to always maintain their health

Religion provides a basic mental and moral encouragement and underlies human ideals and behavior in living a life that benefits both himself, family, society and nation.

Religion requires mankind to believe and fear the Almighty God in all its activities

Religion can prevent mankind from all things/deeds that are contrary to its teachings.

a. Health maintenance efforts

Early efforts carried out in the maintenance of health began since pregnant women, namely since the fetus in the womb. It aims to make the baby born in good health as well as his mother. Health is the main factor for mankind to be able to do/live well so that it can be avoided from various diseases and disabilities. There are several steps that can provide guidance for mankind to maintain health that is recommended by religion, among others :

Eat nutritious food

Keep clean

Exercise

Medicine when sick

b. Prevention of disease efforts

In religious teachings disease prevention is better than treatment in sick times. Prevention of diseases include:

Immunization immunization can be given to infants and toddlers, pregnant women, WUS, Elementary School students from grade 1 to grade 3.

Giving breast milk to children up to 2 years old

Providing health counseling. It can be done in a study group, or other religious activity groups.

c. Attempts at disease treatment

The Prophet said: ” For every sickness that Allah has sent down, there is a medicine that He has sent down.”

In this heart mankind is implanted to seek treatment if sick.

Religious views on Family Planning services. There are two opinions about this, namely allowing and prohibiting the use of contraceptives.

Because there are some scholars who say the use of contraception is something/thing that is very contrary to religious teachings because it is contrary to the destiny/will of God.
