Chapter 71: Uncovered

Dimas tries to contact Angel and asks about Jacelyn. But the answer from Angel left Dimas confused and many questions arose.

"Gue doesn't have a bang on his name Jacelyn" Angel said to Dimas's question on the phone.

"What a real lo, he said he was raised by the lo family." Dimas started to panic.

"Lo knows myself I'm the only child and my family bokap I have no adopted children," said Angel again.

"Try to ask first with your family, the same time you forget yourself." Dimas scratched his head that was not itchy.

"Okay, I'll tell you again."

Angel hung up the phone and left a big question mark on Dimas.

"What the fuck," Dimas told himself.

Dimas returned to Arya's room and there was no Evan.

"Where's Evan?" ask Dimas.

"Home home, what's going on here" Arya replied.

"Where's Dim?" ask Indi curious.

Dimas told me everything when he called Angel. And the look on Arya and Indi's faces changed after hearing the story from Dimas. Indi doesn't believe in all that.

"Are Angel's words to be trusted?" ask Indi doubtfully.

"I'll be sure again." Dimas tried to think.

"It means true what Jacelyn told me, if she's not considered in that family," Indi said.

"Don't be too thoughtful, later I will be the same Dimas asked directly to Mr. Bastian, let it be clear everything," said Arya pacified Indi.

This whole thing just doesn't make sense. For what Jacelyn pretended to be Angel's puppet and approached Evan. Arya has to figure it all out. He didn't want his son to be hurt by this.

After delivering Indi home after work, Arya and Dimas immediately slid to the house of Mr. Bastian. Arya will make things clear so that nothing harms her son and his family.

On the other hand Evan was heading to Jacelyn's boarding house. He wants to make sure one more time Jacelyn's situation. Evan's hoping to find Jacelyn at the boarding house right now.

"Jace," cried Evan as he knocked on the door.

Jacelyn's boarding house looks lonely. There is no confirmation from inside the house.

"Jacelyn," called Evan again while banging on the door.

"The numbers are kok sak, just came home," said a resident of the boarding house next door.

"Thank you for the info" Evan said, trying to call Jacelyn again.

After repeatedly calling and knocking on the door the door finally opened and Jacelyn appeared. Evan immediately hugged Jacelyn without warning. By biting Jacelyn's lips held back the pain in her body due to Evan's embrace.

"Lo ain't pa-pa is Jace?" evan asked still hugging her tightly.

"Gue didn't pa-pa, brother, let go first" said Jacelyn, her voice trembling slightly.

"Lo's sick?" evan asked again taking off his embrace and stared intensely at Jacelyn.

"Gue's fine" replied Jacelyn smiling.

Jacelyn wore long jeans and a sweeter to cover the bruises on her body.

"Where the hell is that from? I'm not here" asked Evan worried.

Evan asks Jacelyn to come to his house. At first Jacelyn refused because she was not feeling well, but eventually she wanted to come along because she did not want to get many questions from Evan.

Arya and Dimas arrive at Mr. Bastian's place and are greeted by him and Angel and her husband.

"I've heard from Angel. Why are you asking something like that?" bastian asked Arya and Dimas.

"This is Mr ...." Arya recounts the beginning of a meeting with Jacelyn at Angel's wedding. And he claims to be Angel's body. Upon closer inspection, Jacelyn recounts that she was adopted as a child by the Angel family. But it does not give details of which family. Although he was lifted, but he felt uncomfortable and ended up living alone in the hostel.

"Today he disappeared and my son, Evan, went anywhere but nothing and asked for my help" Arya continued.

"But when I asked Angel, she said she didn't know him" Dimas added.

"Gue does not know, and there are no adopted children here," said Angel was confused.

"I'm afraid someone is using the child to make my child hurt" Arya said.

"I understand what you mean. But it's true what Angel said, neither I nor my family raised the child all this time. Not even abroad." Mr. Bastian explained.

"So the boy was lying all along? Does it have anything to do with you, sir?" ask Arya.

"I don't know the child and I guarantee it has nothing to do with me and Angel" Bastian said.

"Gue won't be looking for any more problems with you and Indi, Ar. I still can't think of adulthood" Angel said in self-defense.

"Then I apologize for interrupting and thank you for accepting our arrival" Arya said.

After saying goodbye, Arya and Dimas went home with many questions and concerns.

"Who is that boy?" ask Dimas.

"Lo don't tell anyone first yeah, we investigate both. Who he really is and what he wants" said Arya firmly.

"OKAY. But what about Evan?"

"Later I tell Indi the same story, and ask Indi to make Evan a little away with Jacelyn."

Arya thought of all the worst things that would happen. What most did not want to happen was that Evan was disappointed in Jacelyn. The first friend Evan introduced to his parents and family.

Arriving home, Arya is shocked to see Jacelyn there playing with Vania and Vano. There was also Indi who had a conversation with Evan.

"Hi om, just got home?" jacelyn asked with a sincere smile.

"Yes, run out of overtime for a while," Arya replied giving the code to Indi.

"Jace, auntie stay first." Indi followed Arya who went straight into the room.

Arya sighed heavily and told Indi everything. Not believing in all of Arya's stories, Indi asked many times to convince herself.

"So it's true he's not from the Angel family? Then who is he?" ask Indi in a bit of shock.

"Me and Dimas will investigate everything. But I'm asking you to persuade Evan not to get too close to Jacelyn."

"If you look at Jacelyn like a good boy baby. Really good, sincere." Indi sighed.

"We're just keeping Evan from getting too disappointed later." Arya hugged Indi and kissed her forehead.

"May he really is a good boy yes, just lying a little," said Indi while praying.

Arya and Indi had no idea that anyone was eavesdropping on her doorstep. Jacelyn closed her mouth holding back her cries.

"They know the truth" Jacelyn said in her heart.
