Mute Girl Heart Enthusiast
124. Surprise.

Raindrops suddenly descended from the star-filled sky and for some reason cloud cover them.

The small grains that descended from the sky slowly moistened the previously dry soil. The sounds of crickets that had been caught by Kavin's eardrum when he entered a beautiful village not far from Soekarno-Hatta international airport, either since when it disappeared.

Kavin is currently standing on the porch of a modest house with his left hand carrying a basket filled with various colorful petals, and his right hand is now outstretched forward to enjoy the cold rain.

Kavin closed his eyes as the cold started to eat away at his body and along with it his brain suddenly twisted a ridiculous memory as he and his wife celebrated valentine's day two months ago.

More precisely when they were married early. Why did he say memories are ridiculous? Because at valentine's night.

Kavin goes to take Mika to an outdoor restaurant. He had already made all sorts of preparations such as lighting candles, therapeutic scents, food, and chocolate all he prepared for his beloved wife, but all that was in vain because suddenly the rain poured down on them and made the entire preparation of Kavin destroyed.

They can still enjoy valentine's day by dancing in the rain when everyone in the restaurant chooses to leave.

Kavin chuckled softly as his head shook, "I miss you," he muttered as his eyelids slowly opened.

He slightly lowered his head to look at the basket filled with colorful petals, "I'm sure you'll be surprised, look at your husband and you'll be gaping," he added amidst the sound of rain hitting the roof of the house.

"It looks like it's going to rain really hard, sir." Kavin turned his head when he heard the voice of a beak man from behind.

"Yes, Sir. You better take shelter here first. Fear there will be a tree that falls in the middle of the road and make you wretched," said a middle-aged woman, the older brother of the taxi driver and the man Kavin woke up to buy petals at four in the morning.

"We better go straight away, if later here. My wife at home will definitely nag" Kavin replied with a polite word.

The taxi driver who heard that could only nod his head, "Then. Sir wait here first. I'm going to the car to get an umbrella." The middle-aged taxi driver immediately ran into heavy rain at the end of April.

While Kavin just stood still while continuing to think about Mika's expression that he believed would definitely be surprised, because she came home unlike what she said in the chat yesterday.

"Come, sir," said the middle-aged driver, who was standing with an umbrella.

Kavin who saw that nodded his head, but before he stepped out of the veranda of the house. He took the time to smile at the middle-aged woman he was forced to wake up to buy some petals that his wife had ordered.

"Please and apologize for interrupting the break time, Mother," Kavin said, making the middle-aged woman in front of him smile.

"That's okay, sir. May your wife be happy to accept it. Sorry there are only rose petals and cambodia" said the seller's mother and Kavin, who heard it, only nodding his head.

"Then excuse me, assalamu'alaikum."

The clock has shown five o'clock more than eleven minutes. That means, Kavin spent seventeen minutes to get to his apartment. At this time the man was walking near the elevator available in his apartment building to go to the floor where he lived with his wife.

Kavin stood in front of the elevator door. His hand stretched out pressing a button to open the iron door and after it opened. Kavin stepped in with his suitcase.

The man could stop at nothing to smile. Moreover, he had no ceaselessness to sip the fragrant aroma that came out from the petals of the rose and Cambodia.

The typical sound of the elevator was caught by his sense of hearing and a second after that the iron door that had been tightly closed, began to open itself.

Kavin pulled the handle of his suitcase and the man immediately walked out of the elevator with his wide strides.

Kavin's footsteps stopped at the entrance of his apartment. He moved to remove his hand from the handle of the suitcase and he directly knocked on the door.

Three times Kavin beats do to tell the person who is in there. Kavin waited with his head turned to the right and left to see the situation of the apartment that was always quiet at this hour.

"Why he's always leaking. I'm sure he's up and getting ready for the Duha prayer" Kavin said in an irritated tone.

"Honey, open the door!" Kavin shouted a little while knocking on the door so that the person inside could hear.

"Darling!" call Kavin again when he hasn't seen any sign of the door being opened from inside.

"Unlike usual Mika is difficult to wake up. What's more it's five o'clock" muttered Kavin as his hand moved outstretched to hold the doorknob and instantly twisted it.

The door opened, causing Kavin to raise one eyebrow in his eye, "Why is he so careless that he forgot to lock the door." Kavin nagged as he moved slowly pushing the door inside.

After the door is wide open. Kavin immediately stepped in while still dragging his suitcase.

"Oh my goodness, Mika. What were you doing while I was gone? Why don't you turn off the middle room lights." Kavin again let out a scolding as he had just walked into the house and saw the living room lights on.

Kavin let out a tired sigh he circulated his gaze to the corners of the house, "Mika!" Kavin started yelling for his wife as she moved to sit on the sofa.

"Darling!" call Kavin back and his left hand moves to put down the small basket containing the petals he had bought.

"Sa-s"

The sound of the cat meowing made Kavin hang his words. The man smiled as he watched Mira meow and move agilely back and forth, as if he wanted to say "follow me."

"What do you want to show me?" ask Kavin who seems to know the meaning of the pet cat.

While Miranda who heard that just meowed and started to lay her body on the floor, then rolled around to the right and left.

"All right, let's show it to Papa." Kavin moved up from his seat and he did not forget to bring the basket with him.

Miranda, who saw the master standing up, got up from her sleep and walked quickly to the hallway where she would take them to the room.

Kavin swung his steps following Miranda, "Miguel!" Kavin shouted as he saw the carcass of his pet gecko lying between the left room door and the right room door.

Kavin bent his knees and he immediately lifted Miguel's body which of course smelled very rotten, because the gecko died from five days ago.

"Why is he like this?" Kavin asked himself and he immediately turned his head to the right door.

"What did your mother do, until she didn't find out, Miguel died?" added Kavin while moving up from his seat.

He slightly bent his body to grab the small basket containing the petals of the flower he had bought and after. He moved quickly to grab the doorknob of his room and his wife.

Kavin pushed the door rough and he immediately stood up with a look of disbelief as his two eyes looked, Mika who sleeps with a slightly leaning position on the head of the bed and do not forget the two corners of her lips that smile so look very peaceful.

Kavin walked quickly to the bed where his wife was asleep, "The message I called from earlier did not say, because of this," he said while shaking his waist at the side of the bed.

"Mika," Kavin called out softly, but the woman who was sleeping with the blanket that almost covered her entire body was no sign of waking up.

Kavin who saw that started to run out of patience. He moved to place the basket with the petals on the bed and afterwards. He immediately moved to reveal Mika's blanket.

"Bang-"

Kavin's voice suddenly choked, his two eyes perfectly rounded, and his body staggered backwards as he saw a knife stuck in Mika's stomach.

"Mica!" Kavin screamed hysterically with both eyes that suddenly let out a grain of warm water.

Along with the release of warm water from the eyelids Kavin, a basket containing rose petals and also the cambodia fell to splatter on the floor.
