Miss Your Hugs

Miss Your Hugs
Chapter 76

A week had passed, since dawn Nisa felt her husband's body temperature was very hot. Nisa painstakingly took care of her husband.

When he saw the sun had appeared, he entered through the cracks of the window. Nisa took the initiative to make porridge for her husband breakfast.

He went to the kitchen, although walking was still less normal, Nisa still carried out her duties as a good wife.

Long enough in the kitchen, he finally finished his cooking. Nisa slowly carried a tray containing porridge and warm tea.

Chequek!

The sound of the door opening, how surprised, Nisa found her husband on the floor. His body was seen convulsing, after which he was motionless and unconscious.

“Mas!” hysterical scream Nisa.

She put the tray down first, and tried to hasten her steps toward her husband.

“Mas, wake up mas. Mas!” nisa's shouting wiggling both of her husband's cheeks.

Nisa picked up the phone lying on the floor, apparently Bara had to wake up to see her cellphone on the floor.

With trembling hands, Nisa searched for the ambulance number.

Twice he called the number, never picked up.

“Thank you, please!” nisa said in her heart.

For the third time, a hospital staff voice was heard behind the phone.

“Pak, please! My husband,” said Nisa with a vibrating voice.

“Home Why Bu?”

“My husband had convulsions and is now unconscious.”

“Good, we will pick him up soon, include the address of the mother now.”

“On the road xx, number 45 RT 27.”

“Good, we get there soon.”

Tut...! Tut...!

The phone call ended with Nisa, still trying to wake her husband up.

“Mas, wake.”

Nisa raised her husband's head, and placed it on her thigh. Because Bara's body was quite heavy, she was unable to lift her husband's body.

About ten minutes waiting, the ambulance arrived at his house. But Bara did not open his eyes.

Hospital staff lifted Bara's body, taking her into an ambulance followed by Nisa sitting next to her husband lying down.

Before arriving at the hospital, Bara was first given help by a nurse who was in the ambulance.

“How is my husband doing? My husband is fine right?” asked Nisa who was so worried.

“Please be patient Yes Miss, let us do our duty.”

Ambulance rang the siren, penetrating the crowded city streets to the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital, the patient is immediately rushed to the IGD to find treatment faster.

Nisa followed them and entered the IGD room.

Nisa sees her husband lying weakly in the ward, seen the doctor busy examining her husband in aid by several nurses.

“What happened to my husband Doctor?” nisa asked with a worried face.

“Please be patient Yes Miss, let us do our duty first. Please wait outside miss, after we finish we will call Miss,” the doctor said kindly.

“Please my husband Doc,” says holding back his tears.

Nisa nodded, then stepped her foot out of the IGD. Even though it is heavy, it has to do it.

The phone in her hand rang, coincidentally the phone she was carrying was her husband's cell phone.

“Pak Zaky,” murmured Nisa saw the name listed on the phone screen.

“This is definitely the boss. What do I have to answer?”

At first, Nisa ignores the call. However, the voice calls repeatedly contact with the same name. Because Nisa could not bear to finally lift the call.

“Halo.”

“Halo, does Mr Baranya exist?” ask someone from inside the phone.

“Anu.., sorry. My wife, Mas Bara, is currently in the hospital. Maybe mas Bara can not work for a few days.”

“What is Mr Bara sick? How is she doing, miss?” ask Mr. Zaky.

Actually Mr. Zaky already knew about Bara's illness, because he was informed by the doctor of the results of his medical check-up, which he did a week ago. Not wanting to make Nisa worry, she asked as if she did not know. Let the doctor explain to his wife Bara thought.

“Iya. Mas Bara passed out and is now still being treated by Doctor.”

“Tell us if you have results, Miss.”

“Iya Pak,” Nisa's.

They end each other's calls.

Almost an hour waiting, the doctor finally came out of the IGD room and approached Nisa who was sitting in the waiting chair.

“Are you the wife of Mr Bara Tanu Wijaya?”

“Iya Doc, my wife.”

“Cute to my room,” said the Doctor kindly.

Nisa followed behind the doctor, although she walked slowly. However, he tried to balance the steps of the doctor.

“Please sit Miss,” said the Doctor invited Nisa to sit down.

“How's Doctor? My husband is fine right,” asked Nisa kindly.

The doctor sighed heavily, he looked at the thin-looking woman in front of him.

“With a heavy heart, I have to convey this miss.”

“What's up Doc? Why the doctor looks doubtful, I am ready to listen to his Doc.”

“Sorry before Miss. The disease suffered by Mr. Bara is currently quite serious, and has entered the final stage.”

Nisa frowned, according to her doctor was too long-winded to tell her about her husband's illness.

“What disease is Doc?” ask Nisa.

The doctor breathed heavily.

“Your husband is positive for end-stage brain cancer.”

Yder...! duars...! it was like lightning striking in broad daylight, with no black clouds surrounding the ceiling. Nisa was silent for a moment digesting the speech delivered by the Doctor.

“What Doc?! I didn't listen wrong?” nisa asked again with her voice trembling to hold back her tears from falling.

“No Miss, you did not mishear.”
