MEMORIES AND ABU HORMUZ

MEMORIES AND ABU HORMUZ
Volume 2 Chapter 10 - Shouldn't Look Cool

Heat ...it was the first thing that they thought of when descending the well sank from level four to level five. The temperature in level four was quite cold, while the fifth level was a stark contrast. The temperature was much higher, and the reason was very clear. The cause is that furnaces, both large and small, are all lined up in tunnel paths.

The fifth level is the refinery, where mineral ores are dug up and melted down. Not all furnaces are lit, but there are many worker kobolds that frenzy on the furnaces used. The other worker kobolds were sitting casually around the space, it seemed like it was indeed a room used for rest. Some place

it was filled with kobolds, while the other place was quite quiet and quiet. Every now and then, an elder and his subordinates appeared.

There was also a place made for hunting land for the reserve troops, and Lusi also led them to the place. It was a tunnel that one end was dead-end, but the path was big enough and circular, so it wasn't really a dead end.

It was quite a distance away from one of the furnaces, but not too far from the resting area of the worker kobolds, or some outpost where the tips were watching his men. It was an area that kobolds might be able to enter if they went for a walk when changing shifts, and some kobolds looked increasingly

come close.

That's where Haruhiro and his friends wait. Marco, growing impatient, furious, and irritated.

Vina sighed in annoyance. "If you can't be patient, then why don't you try taking a nap?"

"If I fall asleep" Marco replied, "you will leave me behind alone. "

"Dam. Fail again. "

“That's fucking, miss Grandson Board. I know what you think before you even think about it. I can see right through you!”

"Don't call Vina that!" Vina.

“I'll call you whatever I want, you idiot! Flat flat flat flat flat flat flat flat flat flat flat flat!”

Vina's expression turned furious.

"V-Vina .." said Alice, gently patting Vina on the back, "I don't think your chest is flat".

"Alice had a big chest, so it didn't make Vina feel better!"

"Oh .. I .. sorry .. but I'm just fatty ... I'm sorry ..."

"Vina too," Vina said to apologize. "Don't mind what Vina said. Having a big chest is not your fault, and Vina also never asked to be given a small chest. And Vina was a Hunter who used a bow to hunt, so sometimes, having a big chest would only bother me

when moving ..."

"Um .. that might be true," Alice agreed hesitantly.

"Vina was probably born to be a Hunter" Vina said.

"What kind of strange reasoning is that?" Marco defiantly.

Haruhiro agreed a little with Marco this time around, but it was better that he did not involve himself in this stupid conversation. Because this is the right time to train his “let's just” skill. Let it be ... Already, let it go ... Haruhiro had a hunch that if he continued to train the “ skill just let”, then he would level up at a certain level.

The fifth level was a noisy place, but the hunting grounds they occupied were now relatively quiet. The noise also resonated easily, as this was a mining tunnel. They could hear footsteps approaching. Most likely it was the sound of kobold footsteps.

Haruhiro raised his hand and pointed a finger in that direction. He then gave her a thumbs up, and lowered it immediately. It was a signal that meant "the enemy is approaching, get ready" they had agreed on such signal codes just before entering the mine.

Vina prepared her bow and arrows, then she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Alice and Lusi prepared their wands. Barto unsheathed his giant sword, and Marco did the same to his long sword. Haruhiro did that to his dagger.

Kobold is seen. An adage. Vina opened her eyes they moved with a certain movement, which showed that Vina had already activated [SHARP SIGHT], it was a skill that allowed her to track the movements with great precision. He then shot his arrow. The tip screamed as an arrow slammed into his face.

The tip collapsed, and wriggled in pain, but soon came the other kobolds. That one is also an example. The two of them, Tip A was already injured, while the others had yet to.

"Barto, attack the uninjured!" Haruhiro ordered that, and immediately ran to carry it out.

"DIIIIIIIIIIIIII!" Marco has attacked tip A.

Vina had dropped the bow, then had her Kukri. Alice chanted, "Oom rel eckt vel dash!" the [SHADOW ECHO]. Elemental shadows that were shaped like black seaweed surged from the end of his staff.

The tip B repelled Barto's attack by using a wide bladed sword, but at that very moment, elemental shadows struck him right in the stomach. He started to shake uncontrollably. Barto pressed sword tipa B down, then with a loud shout, he raised a giant sword on the head of the monster. Kobolds

tipa managed to turn his body to move away at the last moment, and Barto's sword only grazed the side of his head, not splitting the skull.

Meanwhile, Marco while shouting his anger, thrust out a long sword to pierce through the chest of tip A. When Haruhiro and Vina helped Barto, tip B immediately turned his face and fled.

"Don't let him go!" Shouted Lusi.

Vina passed her Kukri on her left hand, and with her right hand, she pulled out a knife, then threw it on the tip. [STAR PIERCE], the skill hit tip B on the lower shoulder, but instead of collapsing, the monster just kept running. Barto was right behind him. The sound of his armor clanging clearly, he held his sword high, but the enemy was still outside

range.

"I'll catch him!" Haruhiro quickened his pace, pushed Vina aside, and passed through Barto. The back of tip B was an easy meal for a Thief like Haruhiro, the monster did not notice Haruhiro's arrival because he was so focused on escaping. The monster did not attempt to counterattack in order to protect itself. He was also injured on his leg, and his movements faltered. Under these circumstances, Haruhiro could definitely chase after the monster.

"[WIDOW MAKER]!" Haruhiro jumped on the kobold's back, slit his throat, and jumped again to get away.

The tipster staggered for a while, then fell to the ground.

Haruhiro heaved a sigh of relief, "i managed to do it ..."

"I've got my Vice" Marco shouted in a ferocious tone.

So it seems that Kobold A is also dead.

"Why ..." Haruhiro finally had no power to silence his mouth, and he said a few words.

It was not a fair battle, but it was also not a cunning battle. They did not place all dependents on the Priest, namely Lusi, and each person contributed according to their respective expertise. They can finish it quickly. It was almost like real teamwork.

"Whoever, I think that this is going really well" Haruhiro continued. "Don't you think so?"

"S-agree," said Barto, as his Barbute helmet moved up and down, matching his nodding gesture. "I think so too."

"Yes" Vina said, widening her nostrils and patting her right shoulder with her left hand. "Vina's "land and throwing knife were very steady. Vina felt a bit sorry for the tip, but Vina herself was quite satisfied"

Alice smiled, "It seems, we already have a good rhythm. It's as if we already know what to do afterwards, and that's what causes us to win."

"Yes," Lusi showed them a smile. "I think it's good work."

"And it's ALL BECAUSE OF ME!!!" Marco started bragging.

"IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF ME, AND EVERYTHING IS MINE!"

Haruhiro surmised that it was too soon for him to expect a change in Marco's character. Which, all he needs to do is “let's just” .. but this time he can't.

"What do you mean?" Haruhiro. "Are you trying to act cool?"

"No, wait a minute ... I am this WORLD! No, no! I mean, this world is mine!"

"Oh. Well then, congratulations. "

“You have absolutely no intention of praising me! You just said it!” Marco indicted.

"No. I thought it was something good," Haruhiro said. "That's great. Congratulations to you."

"Thank you!" Marco kicked the ground. “And why should I thank this guy anyway?!”

Normally, Haruhiro was already irritated by this kind of chattering of Marco, but somehow this time he felt that it was quite a fun joke, and he laughed a little. Everyone gathers loot with passion. Suddenly, Haruhiro felt something strange. He quickly looked around.

"There's ap-" Lusi started saying, but before he could finish his sentence, he saw the same thing as Haruhiro saw ... A head poked out from the side of the curved tunnel. It was a kobold. Sure.

When the kobold realized that Haruhiro and Lusi had seen him, he looked back down to hide.

"Hey .. pretty good," Marco said as he pulled out the amulet from the carcass of tipo A. "It looks like the price will be quite high ..."

"Wait, wait" Haruhiro said as he raised his hand to ask Marco to be quiet. "Lusi, did you realize that?"

"What?" Marco stuck out his neck to see. "What the hell is going on?"

"What's wrong?" Vina asked while kneeling on one leg beside the carcass of tip B. Alice crouched down beside Vina, then she turned her gaze towards Haruhiro, while blinking in confusion. "Hm? What-"

Barto snorted and bowed low.

Lusi put a finger on his chin, "How ya ..."

There was a howl like the sound of a deafening dog. But the howler was certainly not a dog. It was a kobold. A worker or a tipster, Haruhiro had no idea, but the howler must have been a kobold he had just seen.

"O-oy ..." Marco took a hard gulp and put his hand over his mouth. "What the fuck is this .. it looks like this is bad ..."

Lusi's eyes widened, and panic was evident on his face. "It's bad. That is ... "

Another loud howl was heard, and answered the first howl, then a similar voice whizzed over each other. There were several times the sound of howls in tune with each other. The first Kobold had started, so the others replied. Again, again, again, and again.

"L-Run!" haruhiro's decision was set so quickly.

Vina grabbed Alice's arm and dragged towards her, "Come on Alice, get up!"

Run. They should run. Run as fast as possible. But run where? For a split second, Haruhiro did not know the answer to the question. Be calm! Then he remembered something, it didn't matter. This tunnel has no end, and is constantly connected like a circle. The good news is, wherever they go, they will not find a dead end, but the bad news is, where is the safe place to hide?

The fifth level is like a tortuous labyrinth. Can they find a sinking well to ascend to the fourth level without getting lost? Haruhiro was not a person who was insensitive to directions, but he was also not very adept at determining directions. Everything will be fine ... Somehow, he had a feeling that they would be fine, but he wasn't entirely sure. It's like being on a ship, and being tossed about by the waves of the ocean.

"Follow me!" Said Lusi, while jumping and running.

Oh. Also true. Luci had dropped to this level before. All they have to do is follow what they say.

"S-Everyone, let's go!" Haruhiro said it, even though everyone already understood what they should do.

She trailed behind him, occasionally turning to look back to see if all the team members were complete and no one was left behind. Haruhiro was aware of how lousy his abilities as a leader were. Although now he was a leader, yet he had once been a subordinate who knew nothing. When he was a subordinate, he never once paid attention to his other friends, and all he thought about was his own safety. How depressing. How humiliating. Vina and Alice were really panicking. He must calm them down so as not to panic.

Calm down?! At a time like this? How could?!

"It's okay! Just go ahead - "Haruhiro feels like his words are swallowed. What's all right? This time, he corrected his own words. This is a big deal. If only they were not in a state of panic, then Haruhiro had laughed at himself for saying such a ridiculous thing. He'll be angry, he'll be angry.

He could not run so well while turning his head back, so he turned his eyes forward again. His body was shaking. Views swaying. Everything was trembling and swaying, to the point that he was confused as to why this world was shaking so strongly. In his ears sounded his own clear heartbeat. Oh. Maybe that's why. It was like his heart was about to jump out of his mouth.

They pass through the labyrinthine passageways, then pass through the resting places of the kobolds. Everything was empty when they passed it earlier, but now it was different. The resting area was filled with worker kobolds who immediately rushed after them.

"Damn! Shit shit shit!” Without realizing it, his mouth curses many times. Damnit damnit! What should we do?! His mind was filled with resentment and anger.

Lusi's speed slowed down so Haruhiro could catch up to him. Oh. So that's why. A group of kobolds ran towards them and they would definitely be caught if not running as fast as they could. Unfortunately, there are also some kobolds that attack from the front. Complete their suffering, and they will be deadlocked if they turn around. The only option was to break through the horde of kobolds attacking from the front. Of course, don't let Lusi be in the front row.

"B-Bar!" Haruhiro turned around and shouted. "M-You go ahead! Come here! Use [WAR CRY]!”

"Really!" Barto replied in a slightly desperate tone, and he passed through Susi and Haruhiro with the sound of his armor clanging.

Fourteen kobolds, or perhaps more, they faced off against Barto with fiery sticks. Barto suddenly stopped when several sticks of fire were thrown at him. Without blinking, Barto formed strong horses on the ground, then released a loud shout in the air, Warrior skill [WAR CRY].

With a special deafening sound, [WAR CRY] managed to intimidate his enemies. When

someone is not ready to face [WAR CRY], then he will stop in place without the slightest movement, no matter it is humans, monsters, or other living things. It made the several kobolds in front of them soar into the air, while the other kobolds were incapacitated with fear. Some even retreated, holding their heads by hand.

"NOW!" Barto shouted in a rough and manly tone.

Haruhiro ran as if his life was coming to an end, and he yelled, "Everyone, come forward at once!"

Marco shouted while attacking. Susi is right next to Haruhiro. What about Vina? The alice?

Haruhiro glanced back. Both are still there.

"L-Run! Comeing! Come come come come on!” He yelled.

Is that all he can say right now? How depressing. Haruhiro and Lusi caught up with Barto quickly. But Barto was not a typical sprinter, and his intelligent weapon slowed his movements even further.

The clang of the sound of armor echoed through that tunnel. Should I pass through Barto and leave him behind? Haruhiro wondered. No, that's not a good idea. More kobolds will appear against them. And more. How many? He doesn't know.

“I can't use it anymore! Not so fast!” Said Barto stammeringly, while running as hard as possible.

So, [WAR CRY] is not a skill that can be used in a row. So, what are they going to do?

"W-we have to storm through them!" Haruhiro.

A small voice in his heart asked him, Serbu? Through? Can you really do it? But, there is no better choice than this, right? All he wanted to do right now was vent all the doubts and frustrations in his mind, but this was not the right place to do that.

"ARGHH!" Barto yells.

Kobolds clashed against each other while hunting them down, and the monsters gave loud howls. There were three of them, but the fourth kobold jumped and rode. Barto fell to the ground, rolling repeatedly, but somehow, after rolling several times, he was able to get back on his feet. Barto also seemed confused, as if he did not know what had just happened.

"Continue, Barto!" Haruhiro Shouts.

"Right turn!" Luci.

Marco suddenly shouted, accompanied by Alice's scream. Haruhiro turned around and saw that a kobold had grabbed the tip of Alice's witch-robe. Vina chopped off the kobold's hand using her Kukri, released it, and prevented Alice from falling to the ground.

Meanwhile, Barto swung the sword as wide as he ran, forcing the kobold that prevented it from spreading. Lusi also tried to fight back, he slammed his stick on every kobold that was within range of the attack. And I did nothing .. thought Haruhiro. He just ran and kept running without doing anything. He could do nothing but run.

How did this happen? How did everything turn out like this? Everything went well. Really well. Everyone felt the same, our mood was good, and we were so confident. Is this possible because ... they are too confident that everything will go smoothly? Nope,

not until so. However, they have to admit that they are almost overconfident. Only lapse behind the limits of excess confidence.

Are they so careless? Terlena?

Haruhiro could not deny it. They were unaware of the kobold's howler until it was too late. Very late? That bad? Isn't that something Haruhiro should be able to handle, but he failed? He was not sure if he himself could handle this with his strength.

They underestimate the opponent.

There's nothing positive they get when it's too late. They had lost Udin when they thought that everything could be handled smoothly. And now, here, they experience it again, and they repeat the same mistake. Haruhiro has failed to learn from the events that took Udin's life.

"What the hell am I doing…"

He's pathetic. Worse than worthless people. But, blaming yourself for a mistake will not make the situation better. However, he also failed to think of a thing that could reverse this state, thus returning in their favor.

Not possible. They won't get away. Is over. Done already.

Kobolds too many. The number is too much. If they run straight ahead, there are kobolds. If they turn around, there are kobolds. On the right side, there are kobolds. On the left side, there are kobolds. The tunnel was full of kobolds. Where are they headed? Haruhiro doesn't know. He just followed Lusi.

Barto's movement has slowed down, but if Haruhiro passes through, he's the front one. He can't do that. He can't be on the front line. There is no way he can be a leading player.

Barto's breathing began to pant. He must have been exhausted, but he never stopped swinging his sword while running. No, he forced himself, as if this was a matter of life or death. Barto did his best for them.

Sorry, Haruhiro apologized blankly, he wanted to cry. "Barto ... I'm so sorry. I'm useless to you guys ..."

But even if so, he still had to do something. Even if only for a moment, he had to let Barto rest, or he would never succeed. And without Barto, they wouldn't be able to get out of here.

"Barto, retreat! I'll take your place!” Haruhiro Shouts.

She's afraid. So scared, that he wanted to cry. Whatever happens, it happens. With an angry shout, Haruhiro attacked in front of Barto, and he immediately got a counterattack from several kobolds.

Kobolds, kobolds, shucks, kobolds, Barto, shithead, silly, crazy, scary, shit, shit, shit, NOT MAYBE, shit, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die ...

It hurt, maybe he got hit or cut on his body, but he didn't know where he was injured. He also did not know how to repel the kobolds, so his Party could continue to advance. His current actions were really only based on ... instinct? Or something like that. Wait for. In fact, am I capable of moving? Don't know.

At that moment, what he knew was only one thing, an elder kobold standing right in front of him, raising a sword and ready to split Haruhiro's head. To Haruhiro, it was as if time had stopped, and silence filled every scene around him.

He could not hear any sound ... A strange silence.

Haruhiro saw himself sitting on a chair, in a room somewhere. It seemed like he recognized this place, but it didn't seem like it either. What am I doing there, in that place? Then he was in a different place, surrounded by people. Again and again…. It seemed like he recognized those people, but

it doesn't seem either. She laughs. Now he's in a vehicle, and he seems to be heading somewhere. Someone else is driving the same vehicle. Wh who? Again, he seemed to recognize her, but he didn't. Who the hell are they?

He crouched down in front of a large box-like object that was shining, but the light was quite hazy. The person standing next to him was a girl with Bob's hairstyle.

Choco

That's the name Haruhiro was referring to Bob's haired girl. Chocos. Who her? Haruhiro doesn't know either. But Choco .. somehow, he felt that he knew her.

Who her?

Where have they met? Have they ever met somewhere? He saw it now, that place. Where's it?

Chocos. Hey, Choco ... Whoareyou? Do you know you? Where have I ever known you? When did that happen? When and ... in that place, I know you ...

But Haruhiro did not know the slightest answer. He does not remember…. But his memory disappeared when he almost remembered it. Choco's face .. his physique .. he couldn't remember how it looked. Chocos. But he clearly remembered that name. That memory was the only thing that was not lost from his memory; and it remained stored in his mind.

However, it was all no longer important because soon he would die. Surprisingly, the movement of kobolds seemed slower than usual, but they were nothing like just a moment ago. All the surrounding objects were moving, yet that was not the case for Haruhiro. He could not avoid the sword of the elder, and he was not at all wearing a protective helmet like Barto. If he got a punch right in the head, then there was no way he could survive.

He's probably gonna die. Oh, what is this? Something like a tape of his life, flashing before him? Whatever it is, he'll be dead in a minute.

Choco, I'm gonna die. I wish I could meet you. I don't know anything but your name, but I wish we could meet ...

That can't happen now.

But he wanted to at least try. Evade! Do somethin! Anything! But Haruhito doesn't think he has the slightest chance of dodging the blow. The kobold sword was approaching increasingly rapidly. When the sword is drawn. Haruhiro raised his arm. He had to do something to hold it back. But the movement of his arms won't be on time.

"[ANGER THRUST!]"

Haruhiro, with his arms half raised, almost lost his head if Marco did not jump in and thrust his sword.

"Ha huh! Make way for Mr Marco!” He declared that.

Haruhiro did not know how Marco could move like that, he twisted his body and swung his long sword so skillfully, then he suddenly flipped the direction of the round.

"[LEAP PROPELLOR]!"

"What-what!" Haruhiro could not say.

It was a combination attack. He had used [PROPEL LEAP] to launch his own body backwards, so he slid at the kobold standing behind him but instead of hitting it with a punch, Marco instead struck it with a butt collision.

"YES! I'm amazing" Marco said with pleasure.

"THANK YOU!" [Barto's CLEAVE RAGE] came in a flash from behind, and it managed to split the kobold that was its target. Lusi thickened the other kobolds by using the [SMASH] skill. Vina repulsed the kobold with her Kukri attack, while Alice also used her baton to hit

some kobolds until they retreat.

"Mahiro!" Marco shouted while wearing a helmet, then he survived the kobold attack using a fire stick. Marco managed to stick his sword in the belly of the kobold. “You are weak, then be more careful! We'll be in trouble if you die!”

"I know!" Haruhiro shouted back at him.

He doesn't need to be told. What else was told by Marco ... Haruhiro really did not want to listen to such words from Marco. But he deserves it. Haruhiro had completely given up. When he was desperate, he was useless. A leader, huh? He's too incompetent. He is weak, as Marco said. It was impossible for him to make such a calm decision.

But still, he will do it. He can't lose mentally here. The enemy is not the kobolds. However, the true enemy he had to defeat was himself the weak one.

“Lusion! Is it still a long distance to the nearest sink well?!” Haruhiro.

"Not so far away!" Come the answer immediately.

“Good! Hang on, we're almost there!” Haruhiro shouting. "Near the wall! Stick your back to the wall if you're having trouble! Better to be surrounded from three directions than four! Marco, come forward! We're counting on you! Barto, cover us from behind! Vina and Lusi, take care of the left and right sides! Alice, don't do rash things! We will definitely get out of here, let's step forward together!”

No one was unharmed. All of them suffered injuries, but none of them lost hope. Haruhiro was almost desperate, but now he's fine. Now, he had noticed it well, that the kobolds surrounding them had not piled up so much. The number of monsters was not as much as 10 or 20 lines. Their numbers were indeed not small, but no one gave orders and coordinated them.

Their movements were disorganized, scattered, and they retreated quickly whenever they got a counterattack done by Haruhiro and his team. Perhaps it was because they had a huge advantage in numbers, but they did not fight so seriously. Of course, they weren't messing around either. But instead of besieging, suppressing, then eliminating Haruhiro et al, the kobolds would rather play them.

On the other hand, Haruhiro and the others fought seriously, and they mercilessly killed the kobolds that came attacking.

For the kobolds, death was not a desirable thing, so they retreated quickly. So Haruhiro and the others were simply surrounded without being put under any meaningful pressure. They can still continue to move, and keep going.

This situation may be very scary, but there is no reason to be paranoid and worried about things. Too much worry about their safety will only cause them to panic, so they cannot take action normally.

"That's the sink!" Haruhiro shouting. “Alice, you go first. Susi's next! Then Vina, me, Marco, then,

and Barto!”

With Marco leading in front, Vina, Luci, and Haruhiro cut off the road to reach the sinking well. The well is just a small hole, with only one rope attached to its side. Alice began to rise, but she stopped and hesitated. Shouting at him to hurry up was not a good choice, and Haruhiro knew very well about it. The clash will only further confuse Alice.

"It's okay!" Said. "Luck it! You don't have to rush!"

When the words were tucked out of his mouth, a line of blurry light appeared, and connected it to a kobold that happened to be facing his back to Haruhiro. Haruhiro's body moved in a smooth buttery motion, then his dagger slid easily onto his opponent's back.

Luci was now heading upwards, followed by Vina.

"Come, Haruhiro!" Marco took off his helmet, took aim, and threw the helmet at a kobold he was targeting, as he shouted. “[LEAP PROPELLOR]! [HATRED’S CUT]!”

With [PROPEL LEAP], he sent himself soaring backwards, then he hit the kobold with a butt attack. He continued his attack with [HATRED’S CUT], and managed to hit the kobold directly in front. It was a very bold direct attack.

A loud shout echoed in the air. [WAR CRY] from Barto made the kobolds tremble around the sinking well. Now or not at all. Haruhiro started climbing the rope ladder nimbly and he was actually quite an expert at things like this.

“Marco, you're next! Come!” Haruhiro.

“No! Barto, you go first!” Marco said, while hitting Barto's back using the tread of his sword. "You're slower, so go first!"

Barto did as he was told. Maybe he did it just out of surprise. Barto went up, so Haruhiro could not stop here. He had no choice but to go up.

“Marco! Fast!” Haruhiro said again.

"All right!"

Haruhiro heard the answer, but Marco never came. Instead of Marco, some kobolds were fighting over the rope ladder, and then they started to climb. Barto kicked them to fall, but the other kobolds began to climb the rope.

"Barto, get up first!" Haruhiro ordered while reaching the fourth level, and he tried to help pull Barto's body. But ... weight. He's too heavy. "ARGHH!"

"We've come to help!" Luci, Vina, and Alice won Barto. With the pull of four people, somehow, they were finally able to get Barto out of the sink well.

Barto is fine, but Marco ... What about Marco? Marco is still down ...

Marco didn't ride the rope. The only ones that come are kobolds, kobolds, kobolds, and kobolds. They keep coming.

"Marco!" Haruhiro Shouts. There was no response, but among the angry howls from the kobolds, Haruhiro felt the muffled voice of Marco, “Go! I'm fine even if you guys leave!”

"Leave….!!??" Haruhiro repeated it as if in disbelief. “Barto! Handle incoming kobolds!”

Barto shouted, while throwing every kobold that climbed the rope. He smashed the face of a kobold with a single swing of the sword, so that the monster fell onto another kobold underneath. They all fell into the well, and formed a large pile, causing the bottom kobolds to scream. Upon seeing that, some kobolds seemed hesitant about climbing the rope again.

"... The rope!" Alice grabbed the rope.

Right. If they raise the rope ...

"All right!" Haruhiro rushes to help Alice, and together they begin to roll the rope. After halfway through, they stopped rolling and realized something, "T-but ..."

Vina placed her hand on the edge of the well and bowed to look. "Marco!" Exclaims.

"Just .." said Alice.

Haruhiro nodded and pulled the rest of the rope. Alice's right. Once the kobolds there surrender, they can go down again. With this condition, even Marco will not be able to move anywhere.

Marcos ... Can he escape? Did he find a way to escape? Honestly, Haruhiro doubted it. Marco has always had his luck in times of urgency, but it seems that now is not the time to rely on such a thing.

"Stupid!" Haruhiro was lining up the ground. "Marco, what the fuck are you doing!! You said that we went up first…. Are you trying to be cool?? It's not like you usually are! You're not supposed to be cool..."

No one said a word. The kobolds are still in an uproar under the well. Damn ... What's to do now? What are they gonna do?

Haruhiro and the others are fine. No one was hurt, but even if no one suffered serious injuries, it did not mean that they could do anything. European Marco. If it wasn't for Marco, there wouldn't have been any idea of rushing out of the mine. If only Marco were still with them at this time.

But even without Marco, they would probably be able to get out of here. Leave Marco behind ... Should they chase him? Get down the sink, then look for him? Of course it'll be dangerous. They don't even know if he's alive. Maybe he's dead. If he was dead, then whatever effort they put in would be in vain.

What the hell am I thinking? Why do I think Marco is dead? But, the chances are high. Haruhiro did not think that one would survive if chased by a kobold that much. If Haruhiro was there, he knew that he would not be able to do it. He'll just give up.

What about Marco? Maybe Marco won't give up ...

"Harue ..." Luci had called out his name, so Haruhiro regained his senses.

Damnit. He had really been swept away into his own mind.

"Emc ... Yea?" The answer.

"Kobold!" His shouting.

"No way-!"

But it's true. Haruhiro looked in the direction that Luci was pointing at, and there was a herd of kobolds approaching, there was a tip leading the way, and the worker cobolds behind him.

"They're thousands!" Vina screamed, it seemed like she was really going to cry.

Barto stuttered and said something vague. Alice shook her head back and forth as if she was saying no, no, no. Then he said, "K-We h-have to run!"
