20. The Eye and the Second Ear

Hezkiel called Monna. So long he tried, but Monna had not yet received his call. A week had passed, Hezkiel looked hollow without Monna at his side. He even had the emotion of waiting for Monna to receive her call.

"Hallo .." answered Monna.

"Monna. Where have you been this week? just taking one call you can't. What's so busy you forgot about your husband, huh?" hezkiel.

"Yes, I'm sorry. I'm so busy, Kiel. I just got less sleep, because I keep working overtime." explained Monna.

Hezkiel heard Monna's sad voice become alarmed. He then asked Monna what Monna was doing this week.

"You okay? why's your voice?" ask Hezkiel.

"I'm doing fine. Because of the cold, I might have the flu. My head hurts too. I don't know, right now I want to sleep." answered Monna.

"Have you checked with the doctor? have your manager take you to the doctor, or you can take your existing headache medication for a while" advises Hezkiel.

"Yes, already. What are you doing? why haven't you slept? sleep, Kiel. Do not sleep late, so that your body remains healthy" said Monna reminded.

Hezkiel smiled, "Yes, baby. Accept that you remind me. You rest, I won't bother you anymore. Good night, honey. Sweet dreams, Muaach .. "Hezkiel's friendly words.

Hezkiel was silent for a moment. Celine was also silent, she looked at Hezkiel anxiously.

Celine looked at her husband's departure. He was puzzled as to why Hezkiel looked so strange.

Celine shook her head slowly, then walked towards the kitchen. He immediately made warm chocolate for her and Hezkiel.

Celine and Hezkiel are sitting on the couch, in Hezkiel's study. They both enjoyed a hot chocolate. Hezkiel was curious about the taste of warm chocolate, he tasted warm chocolate made by his wife.

"How does it feel?" ask Celine.

Hezkiel frowned, "Hm, pretty good. Not too sweet and not too bitter. There was a savory taste as well." replied Hezkiel commenting.

"Thank God it fits your tongue. This drink I used to drink in my house. After moving here, I also drink occasionally. If I can't sleep, I always drink this" Celine said.

Hezkiel glanced at Celine, "Is your relationship with your family not good?" ask Hezkiel.

Celine chokes, "Ah, A-what?" ask Celine.

"I'm sorry if I asked you something personal. I just want to know." said Hezkiel.

"Oh, yeah. Its alright. I'm sorry, I made your room dirty" said Celine, feeling bad.

"No problem, it can be cleaned" replied Hezkiel.

"What a weird thing, what's wrong with him. He doesn't usually ask strange questions like this. Him, why him?" inner Celine was curious.

"Are you okay?" celine asked in courage.

Hezkiel looked at Celine, Celine was shocked and apologized for feeling that Hezkiel did not like her question.

"Oh, sorry. I mean, I just wanted to ask. Not to pry into your personal affairs" Celine explained, so as not to cause misunderstandings.

"Yes, I'm fine. It's late, you better rest. Your clothes are also dirty, don't you need to change your clothes as well?" hezkiel.

"Yes, I was planning to. I'll go first, you don't sleep too late. Good night, Kiel." said Celine.

"Yes, good night too" replied Hezkiel.

Celine left the room Hezkiel. He immediately returned to his room to change his clothes and went to sleep. While Hezkiel, still pensive with a cup of warm chocolate in his hand.

A few days passed, Celine and Hezkiel became more and more familiar. The absence of Monna, gives Celine a chance to show her role as a wife. Attention was slowly shown by Celine to Hezkiel.

That morning, Celine cooked and prepared breakfast for Hezkiel. He placed the plate on the table, in front of Hezkiel.

"Eat," pinta Celine.

"Yes" replied Hezkiel.

Hezkiel ate without a doubt the breakfast Celine had prepared for him. Some of this, it does feel weird, but it's also better. Usually, Celine would only have breakfast in the room, the absence of Monna made Celine able to have breakfast, and dinner with Hezkiel.

"If only we could be like this. It's okay even if we don't love each other, it's okay even if we keep our distance from each other. But if we live without a third person, isn't that better? I can do my part without seeing something I don't want to see. Hahh .. I think it's impossible. I don't know until when we'll be like this continue." Celine inner.

Unknowingly, Celine daydreamed. Hezkiel who saw Celine silent at last reprimanded.

"You're not eating, Celine?" ask Hezkiel.

Celine was still silent, busy thinking things through. Hezkiel wondered what his wife was thinking. She calls Celine again until Celine responds to her call.

"Celine .. " call Hezkiel.

"Celine, you're okay, right?" hezkiel asked, worried.

"Celine .. Do you hear me? Celine .. " call Hezkiel again.

Celine was shocked, "Ah, i-iya ... what? did you call me, Kiel?" ask Celine.

Hezkiel sighed, "Hahh .. You why? are you sick?" ask Hezkiel.

Celine shook her head, "It's okay. I'm doing fine. Come eat," Celine replied smiling.

Hezkiel was confused, but he did not ask again. Celine also did not speak again after answering Hezkiel's question and asked her husband to eat.

Not far away, Marie who was tidying up her employer's clothes saw Hezkiel and Celine. He heard and observed two people sitting together for breakfast.

"I have to report this to Madam. In any case, Madam should know everything that's going on, right?" muttered Marie.

Finished tidying up her master's clothes, Marie went to Monna's bedroom to arrange the clothes into the closet. There, Marie called Monna. First of all, he sent a message. After the message was sent, Monna contacted Marie and asked what had happened. Marie told Monna everything.

At the end of the call, Monna who heard Marie's story, just smiled faintly. He was happy, because Marie proved her loyalty to him. Every day Marie always reported even if only by sending a message to her. With Marie, he could receive a lot of information about what Celine and Hezkiel were doing and talking about.
