Don't Make Him Cry

"How's Kemal?" kusuma asked as soon as they sat in the living room.

"Thank God, as you can see!" kemal answered, stretching out his hands with a smile.

"Ary's home, Bun?" ask Alex to Widya who was serving coffee at the table.

"Isn't it a work day? If it's a weekday like this, Ary never comes home." Widya answered Alex's question with a look of surprise.

"So I went to the hospital, Ary didn't go to work. Then I went to his house, he was not there. I guess he came home here." explains Alex.

"Have you tried calling his HP?" ask Kemal.

"It's not usually Ary disappears for no reason. There must be something that caused him to leave without any news" Widya said worriedly.

Which mother does not worry about the state of her child who suddenly disappears without news. Without knowing the cause of her son's disappearance. If you knew the cause, you probably wouldn't worry too much.

"I've called Ary many times, yeah. But it looks like his HP was switched off since last night. This morning my message was read, but he didn't reply or call me back." Alex tells if Ary can not be contacted through his cellphone.

"What actually happened to you? You are adults, no longer children of ABG with his unstable mind!" kemal was angry.

"We came here to apologize to Ary and the two of you. I, as Alex's parents, feel very ashamed of Alex's behavior. He shouldn't have disappointed Ary. But believe me, all this he did for Ary" said Kusuma grabbing a cup of coffee then sipping it to wet his throat.

"Alex wanted to introduce Ary to our family last night. At the meeting it turns out there are old problems that Alex has not resolved. So that makes his mother and his future wife disappointed and injured." continued Kusuma once finished wetting his throat.

"Old problem? What's the problem that Ary is so disappointed that he leaves without any news?" widya asked, frowning.

Widya felt that there was something Alex was covering up, since the answer from Alex and his father was just circling in place. Kemal who also held suspicion like Widya also finally spoke.

"If you cover up a problem and keep a big secret to get Ary. Don't expect Ary to find you! Even I myself will take Ary away from you, and hide it" Kemal said in a furious rage.

Widya who heard Kemal's words filled with anger, immediately rubbed Kemal's arm. Widya intended to reduce Kemal's emotions. Widya channeled calm for Kemal.

"Alex was engaged before, and Alex's engagement ended without telling us his parents. He just decided on the girl. And the girl still pretends to be Alex's fiancee in front of my wife." Kusuma finally explained the real problem to Ary's parents.

"Last night was our new shopping mall opening ceremony. Alex invites Ary to be introduced to his entire family and colleagues. But right then and there, my wife introduced Alex's ex-fiancee as her future ex. So many of the invited guests were confused, actually who our daughter-in-law would be. While everyone was busy talking about who the fiancee really was, Ary left the mall without us noticing." Kusuma ended his story with a guilty face.

Kusuma and Alex really showed their regret over last night. It was a huge blow to Alex. So that I realized there were so many mistakes Alex had made.

Kemal who heard the explanation from Kusuma, his emotions re-ignited. He didn't expect Alex to treat Ary so badly.

"If you can't make her happy at least don't make her cry. As long as you know, during his life we never made him cry. Rendy, too, is always trying to make Ary laugh. Although Rendy made Ary cry, because Rendy was called God" said Kemal lirih, holding tightness in his chest.

"Alex is sorry, dad! Alex didn't mean to hurt Ary at all. Alex thought the problem with Tere was over, because Alex and Tere had nothing to do with it" Alex said, sitting at Kemal's feet.

"You should apologize to our son, not to us. Because the victim here is Ary. He is the one who was hurt because of your actions." replied Kemal flatly.

"Alex is really sorry dad. Therefore, we came here to meet Ary in person with his father and mother" Alex said in his seat.

"Assalamu'alaikum!" greet Kemal as soon as the call is connected.

"Alhamdulillah, father and mother healthy. Where are you now, son?" ask Kemal.

"How are you doing? I'm gonna ask you something, okay?" kemal said softly.

Alex and Kusuma listened to the conversation between father and son. Their feelings are both anxious, afraid Ary does not want to go home to forgive or meet them.

"What are you and Alex doing? You are both adults, you have both been married. Is it worth leaving when there is trouble? Problems to be faced and solved, not avoided or abandoned" Kemal said.

"Go home, boy! We solve together the problems you are facing. I'm sure, my son will definitely face problems that are testing. Moreover, you have planned the wedding, the test is a lot." pinta Kemal on his favorite child.

"Yes, baby! Mom and Dad are not angry. You'd better get home soon, let's lighten the load on your shoulders."

"All right, I'll wait at home. You just take the driver, or ask who it is!" kemal Message.

Kemal takes in as much air as possible, then exhales slowly. This time he faced a problem like this. Both of Ary's sisters have no problems with her marriage. They never made their parents nervous.

Kemal also realized, maybe the difference between Ary and Alex that makes them always mired in trouble. Differences that are difficult to put together, as well as blessings that have not been completely, make Ary and Alex difficult to continue to a more serious level.

"How, dad? Is Ary going to come back here?" leaning on Alex as soon as Kemal ended the call with Ary.

"Ary's going home. It's best that you go home now, come here again tomorrow." Kemal advised Alex and Kusuma.

"Alright then, we'll go home" Kusuma said as he stood up from his seat.

Kusuma and Kemal shook hands as farewell greetings. Kusuma also shone Widya's hand.

It was Alex's turn to shake hands with Kemal, because he first shook hands with Widya.

"Remember, don't ever make her cry! If that happens, you will never be able to see her again!" threaten Kemal to Alex as they shake hands.
