Making a Game in High School

Making a Game in High School
Chapter 50: Company Picnic

The semester exam has been completed. Except for us, Aden had to stay another year in the third grade.

I accompanied him by the river while looking at the sky that had turned reddish.

"It doesn't matter to stay one more class isn't it."

"Of course, the school underestimated me. I'll take rank one after this."

We bumped into each other's juice cans before drinking it.

"How are you related to Ms. Nanase? You guys dating?"

"No, I also don't know if I like it or not that obviously I prefer games over anything."

"The ridiculous statement, man needs love and compassion for life I don't think you can live with it."

I put on a surprised face.

"I didn't expect to hear such a word from you."

"Robble noise."

I laughed and laid my body on the grass.

"So far as I know that in the past I've met Ms. Nanase, unfortunately I don't remember her. I asked my sister and she didn't know anything either."

"I see, it's strange that a girl as beautiful as Ms. Nanase is interested in someone like you."

"Oi."

"Well whatever it is, good luck."

A moment of silence appeared between us, until I opened my mouth.

"What do you think of the game?"

"At least, it doesn't bore me especially you."

"If someone hears it it's gonna be a problem, say something like that to a fellow guy."

At my words, Aden showed a disgusted face.

He really can't be joked. He continued.

"Obviously games are fun, not only for those who play them but who make them too."

I smiled a little in return, when I was first brought by my father to his gaming company, that kind of feeling I had as well.

After the exam we had a long day off and now Erna is taking us all on vacation to a place in the countryside, she graduated from High School and now wears a doctor's suit while leaning on her new van.

"Of course I have, look."

"And that outfit, do you have permission too?"

"I've been accepted into medical school no problem."

I put on a troubled face, especially towards Ms. Nanase.

"Why is he coming too?"

"About that I accidentally crossed paths and innocence about us who are going on vacation, in the end he forced me to come along. I feel pain when my chest is held tight."

"Did you guys say something?"

The person in question appears like a ghost.

"Nothing," Erna replied as quickly as she could say.

"It is already."

I think I'll call it a corporate picnic too. Some companies sometimes go like this.

"Thank you for inviting me too."

That said it was Sari, she had no plans so everyone agreed to take her as well, compared to anyone Albert obviously looked excited.

He winked at me which I answered with a wry smile.

How drunk this guy is.

My sister Rin started helping Alexia and Aden pack our luggage.

I asked Erna.

"Is it possible that the village we visited?"

"Truely, it was the village that my mother's friend used to say. I feel like I want to develop health in that village too, at least I want that his hard work will not be in vain and I want to fulfill his wish."

Erna's mother's friend had previously died from too much self-imposed learning to become a doctor. Maybe that was also what made Erna's heart moved.

"Then let's go."

"Mom Nanase is here, if you can't let him drive."

"You still don't believe me" he shouted.
