Chapter 32: The Deal

"After this exam is over I want the library closed completely."

"I understand."

I was a little surprised that Sari had no objections to agreeing to it, whereas I was sure that this place was most likely very important to her. It was implied how he still wanted to come here.

I'll interrupt immediately.

"Wait a minute, not that it's too soon to decide."

Erna now turned her gaze towards me, she closed one of her eyes while putting her finger on the chin.

"You're not the popular guy who appeared on that television, I guess you're the kind of genius who doesn't need some kind of book in the library."

"Nobody can do anything without learning, especially not reading a book."

Erna smiled with such an ambiguous answer.

"So why can't I close this place down?"

He was like a shopkeeper who was going bankrupt and trying to fire his employees.

"Library facilities are mandatory things that must be in school, if you close it then you have violated the rights that must be owned by students."

"What good words, then what if the place itself does not attract any students, what should be maintained?"

I smiled wryly while Sari on the other hand just sighed softly.

"I think the answer is obvious, I will."

"Wait a minute, give it a month. If the library's crowded are you going to let it?"

"Library is not like a game that will continue to be played, if people are not interested in coming it will continue like that."

"I'll show you a different library" I said seriously.

"Silly."

Erna flipped her body until her silver hair swung to the side.

"I'm a little interested in how you're going to do it, I'll give you two weeks no more and no less."

We both just saw him leave.

Sari looked relieved as she reduced her body to a chair, it was obvious that she actually did not want to close this library.

He glanced at me.

"Why did you just go that far?"

Sari laughed a little.

"It's not clear what exactly you're teasing your upperclassman. That's not polite."

"In Indonesia not thinking too much about hierarchy, everyone is the same."

"Geez, you're good at talking. I'm grateful for a while if you'd like to help this place."

He took an old school album and pointed to someone there who looked like him.

"This is a picture of my mother, when she attended school here she served as a library keeper, she always said that lingering in a place filled with books is very pleasant therefore I also want to try it."

"Then what did you find?"

"It's not like what my mom said."

I'm still thinking about it.

"If things used to be like ebooks, and books are very difficult to get so there are still many people who go to the library, if now it must be different, but that does not mean we can not outsmart it."

"What are you gonna do?"

"Like what the OSIS chairman said just now, the library is not like a game that is always fun so why not create a fun library."

"meaning?"

"Still a secret."

I came out of the library and as I went down the stairs Erna appeared to be leaning against the wall while crossing her arms.

"You're good enough to give us something to do."

"What are you saying, I don't understand."

"So why are you waiting for me?"

"What is your treatment of your friend's Illustrator.I would like to ask you about the Magic School Assassin game, but before that please treat me to a meal."

I had known him from the beginning when we accepted the Magic School Assassin job.

Alexia and Erna are the same type of person.
