Loving Brother Connect
29

This morning Vanya and Hansen came down from upstairs together. The two went down the stairs while throwing jokes at each other and occasionally giggling.

Zia who was already on the ground floor saw their familiarity and again immediately thought about yesterday's message.

"Are they suspect? That means they have more relationships than brothers, right?" Zia was overwhelmed with her own thoughts.

"Ma?!"

"Eh?" Zia reflex held onto her own chest as she felt surprised to see Hansen startling her.

"Lately mama seems to be daydreaming a lot," Hansen said.

Zia shook her head slowly. "No, maybe that's how you feel, baby," she said in denial.

Hansen grabbed her shoulder and took her to the dinner table because Vanya and Chandra were waiting there.

"Well, what the hell is it?" hansen asked on the way to the dining room.

"Nothing, Hans. What the hell are you ..." Zia laughed softly covering up what she was really thinking.

They finally had breakfast as usual. Zia again noticed Vanya and Hansen's interaction in silence. It seemed like there was indeed something between them, that was how Zia had said.

"Hans, where are you going on Sunday?"

Hansen shook his head. He doesn't have an appointment yet, but he's thinking of taking Vanya for another walk. Maybe to the park or to the lake.

"We went to the old house yuk, all meet Aunt Dona," asked Zia.

"May, Ma."

"Where are you going, Van?" ask Zia to Vanya.

"There's no appointment yet, Ma. Mostly to the house of Metha," replied Vanya.

"If so you go with mama Hansen also yuk. Same with Hansen's aunt."

"Papa?" ask Vanya.

"Father this Saturday has to go to Bogor, Van," Chandra told her daughter.

"Oh, yes already if that Vanya follow the mama with Kak Hansen aja," said Vanya agreed.

Zia wants to ask Dona about her thoughts today, who knows she is too ordinary to consider the closeness between Hansen and Vanya. Zia wants Dona to assess their closeness as well.

...***...

On Sunday the three of them went to Zia's old house, which is now occupied by Dona or the sister of her late first husband. Zia hasn't told Dona anything about Hansen and Vanya, and she hasn't told anyone about this, including her husband Chandra.

The car that Hansen was driving finally arrived at the home.

"So, Brother Hansen used to live here, right?" ask Vanya look at the building is quite large.

"Yes, Van."

They got out of the car and without them noticing there was a pair of eyes watching them from afar. He walked slowly and approached the grounds of Hansen's old house.

"Aante Zia!" That was Dira. He did not say hello to Hansen or Vanya, he greeted Zia first.

Seeing that Dira was there, Hansen and Vanya looked at each other. In their minds, they both did not want Dira to complain about things like Zia. But, even if it happened Hansen had prepared himself for this because he knew everything he went through with Vanya would have consequences.

"The heat? What are you doing here?" respond Zia who saw Dira approaching.

"This, Tant. Look at the old house. Coincidentally who has it now wants to sell his house. Brother Doni is interested in buying the house again because the house is our childhood home," replied Dira.

"Oh... Aunty also again visited the old house," said Zia referring to the house in front of him. "Now occupied by Aunt Dona," he explained.

"Yes, brother of the late Hansen's father."

Dira looked to nod his head. He glanced at Vanya with a cynical smile, as well as Hansen who was there. Vanya pretends not to see it, while Hansen plays mobile phone without caring about the presence of Dira there.

"Hi, it's on the dateng yes. Come inside!" Suddenly Aunt Dona came out of the house and welcomed them all.

Dona saw two girls there. Vanya and Dira. He became curious who among these two girls is a child continued Zia.

"Which son is Zia?" the word Dona refers to Vanya and Dira.

"Oh yeah, you don't know, Don. This is Vanya, the child .." said Zia introducing Vanya.

Vanya reached out and greeted Dona's hand with reverence.

"Vanya, Auntie," said Vanya introducing herself.

"Hi Vanya .. you are very beautiful," said Dona honestly. He glanced at Dira then. "Who is this?" tanyanya.

"I'm Dira, Auntie.I used to live next door but not anymore. We used to meet once, too" replied Dira.

Dona seemed to think then remember the figure of Dira when he was a child. "Oh yes, you who used to play rain the same Hansen right," he said with a chuckle.

"Yes, Auntie," Dira replied as she glanced at Vanya. Vanya looked at him. It was like a cold war without words.

"Yes, let's go in! You also stopped by yuk, Dira!" take Dona.

They all finally enter the house that is now occupied by Dona.

"Mas Rayhan is again taking care of his work move, Ma'am. So he left early this morning." Dona tells Zia about her husband.

"It's okay, you know you are still bothered, just miss you," said Zia.

"Me too, Ma'am. We haven't told stories for a long time."

Apparently Dona had prepared lunch for all of them, there Dira was silent. He also enjoyed the treat that Dona presented. While Vanya looks awkward there maybe because of Dira's gaze which seems to intentionally intimidate him.

"Sister, I'm not comfortable with Kak Dira's gaze" Vanya told Hansen. He said while whispering.

"Don't, ignore him."

"He keeps seeing me. What if he suddenly snickered or quipped us in front of Mama and Aunt Dona?"

"As long as I'm here, he won't dare." Hansen was convinced by the talk.

Until finally, Hansen invited Vanya to watch tv in the living room, to avoid Dira.

Dira stays near Zia and Dona, she wants to know what Zia's response would be if she complained about Hansen and Vanya's relationship, but she hasn't had a chance to say anything yet, she had heard Zia talk to Dona about Hansen and Vanya's relationship.

"Don, you think Vanya's closeness to Hansen is natural, right?"

"What's the matter, Ma'am?" ask Dona.

"Never get a message from an unknown number, the contents of the message can not be asked to pay attention to their very close interaction."

"Yes, it's natural that her name is also sister" replied Dona.

"Not that, the meaning of the message is like asking me to discover what really happened between them, Don. Do they have more than just a sister?"

Dira listened to it from his position, he did not so complain because it seemed Zia had already suspected the relationship between Hansen and Vanya. But, who complained about that to Zia? Then, Dira need not be tired to complain, because there are parties who tell Zia first.

"Good, let Aunt Zia know for herself," said Dira.
