Love Or Friend?

Three Companions

"Hey, girls! You're coming to my sixteenth birthday party, aren't you?"

This is the umpteenth time Jenny has asked her best friends; Alexa and Gaby, about her birthday that she will celebrate today.

"You know for yourself that my parents always let me." Answer Alexa.

"Well, I hope I'm as lucky as you are, Alexa. My mother always forbade me, even if I said I was going to go with you." Reply Gaby who snorted angrily then put her head on her desk and blew her blue bangs.

"Try to persuade your Mama, Gaby." Alexa placed her clenched right hand on the table and propped up her chin, "It's Jenny's birthday, there's no way you're gonna miss it, is there?"

"I'll try to persuade him after school later that afternoon, that's when he gets home from his office."

"That's Gaby!" Exclaim Jenny happily while embracing Gaby's right shoulder, "Don't forget! I'm waiting for you two at three o'clock this afternoon."

"Aren't your birthday parties starting at 3:30 p.m?" Ask Alexa.

"You're special guests on my birthday, of course you can't be late."

"Yes, yes." Answer Alexa and Gaby simultaneously.

As the three of them are engrossed in relaxing in class, Miss Polly; their homeroom teacher, visits the XI Science III class which is Alexa, Gaby and Jenny's classroom.

"Miss Lucas! Come to my room now!" Excited Miss Polly with a fierce face. Jenny gulped her saliva violently, while the two girls beside her waited for a response.

"I just fucked Bianca." Jenny answered Gaby and Alexa's confusion. Alexa patted her forehead while Gaby sighed resignedly.

Alexa and Gaby then met Jenny in the cafeteria, "Miss Polly told me to go home twenty minutes longer after school. He said he'd have me clean up the school's sports field as punishment for making Bianca fall to the slippery floor." Jenny flicked her lips, a sign that she was now upset.

"Well, good luck with your punishment." Ledek Alexa, then Alexa and Gaby chuckle.

"Just keep teasing me like that." Jenny said as she crossed her hands, annoyed with her two best friends. Instead of supporting her, Jenny was made a laughing stock by them.

The one in question just looked down and smiled shyly, then twisted his brown hair with one finger, "I did it for Andy who was almost harmed by Bianca."

"You did it for my brother?!" Gaby's shout drew the attention of almost all the students in the cafeteria, Gaby raised her right hand in the air and apologized for yelling.

Gaby looked back at Jenny, "What are you... Um..." Gaby hesitates to say it.

"Liking your sister? Yeah, I liked him the first time I went to your house to do chores together that day."

The three girls were silent for a moment before Gaby's excited scream sounded, "I have to tell Andy about this." Gaby hastily retrieved her blue phone from the pocket of her uniform.

"Gaby, don't tell your sister!" Jenny called out hysterically.

"Why not? I'm glad you'll soon be my sister-in-law's candidate."

"It's not a good time, Gaby. Everything takes time!"

"Alright, fine!" Gaby undoes her intention to call Andy. Jenny then realized Alexa was silent, "What's the matter, Alexa?"

Alexa who focused her attention on someone also realized to hear Jenny talking to him, "Eh, I... Will return. You guys just wait here for me." Alexa stood up from her seat and chased after the person she had noticed earlier. Gaby and Jenny look at each other, confused at Alexa's behavior.

While Alexa continues to chase the man down the corridor. He's the guy Alexa likes from class X, his name is Alvin. Now Alvin is class XII, one level higher than Alexa.

"Alvin! Wait!" Alexa screams to prevent Alvin from opening his locker.

"What's up, Alexa?" Alvin asked, closing back his locker and focusing on the girl who called him.

"I... Just want to know... Do you want to go to Jenny's birthday with me?"

"Sorry, Alexa. But I'm going with Gaby." Alvin wasn't good at rejecting Alexa's call, but he's been looking for a lot of reasons to invite Gaby, and Jenny's birthday is the right opportunity.

Alexa looked disappointed, but tried to cover it up, "It's okay. You guys have fun!" Alexa said while nodding with a wry smile on her face.
