Arion's Regret

That afternoon Jerome was running at an uncharacteristic speed carrying the increasingly blood-soaked Aurora and his face began to turn deathly pale, Jerome had to be willing to reduce his running speed because the pressure of the wind made Aurora's wounds more gaping and it further aggravated Aurora's situation. A nearby hospital became Jerome's destination who arrived suddenly, some hospital nurses look shocked when they see Jerome appear out of nowhere in the emergency room. But when the nurses saw Jerome bleeding, they did not have time to think about how Jerome got to the emergency room without being seen from the entrance.

In a hurry the nurses directed Jerome to approach one of the thrust gurneys, slowly Jerome placed Aurora's helpless body on top of the gurney. The nurses there immediately asked Jerome to wait outside because they had to immediately provide care to Aurora whose heartbeat was getting weaker.

Anxiety enveloped Jerome's heart when it had to wait outside the ER room, several times Jerome was seen pacing around the hospital hallway waiting for news from the nurses about Aurora's condition. Guilt also did not escape in Jerome's heart, he thought why this could happen when he was close enough around Aurora.

"Damn!!! what use are all my privileges to protect Aurora even if I can't!!" jerome let go of all his anger in one breath

Jerome walked over to the wall and sat on the floor leaning against it, he daydreamed and thought about all the things he should have done earlier while hoping he could repeat everything and then fix whatever could make Aurora not to experience the bad things like now. Amidst Jerome's daydreaming at the time, the sound of the television caught his attention.

Immediately his eyes toward the source of the voice, Jerome stood up and walked slowly until he reached a place where the patient's family was waiting for their relatives who were being treated at the hospital. News breaking news that afternoon made Jerome surprised, the dock where the battle between himself, Arion, and Aurora against the mob is now seen crumbling. The hangar building - the hangar looks collapsed almost flat with the ground, the car - the car also looks charred in flames.

"It is still unclear what happened inside, because previously this pier was closed to the public but suddenly there was a frenetic event that had an impact on the destruction of the contents inside the dock" said the reporter who hosted the breaking news event that afternoon

"Arion.." Jerome muttered as he stared at the television screen.

From the television screen Jerome saw the condition of a hangar that was destroyed in several parts, damage that does not make sense if only ordinary humans do it using simple tools. The damage can even look like post-wind exposure****pocket. The hangar damage caused by Arion made Jerome think of some things that disturbed his mind.

It was inconceivable in Jerome's mind at the time that Arion would get that angry and not hold back his power at all, but something made him suspicious. "Where's that much power, Arion? is it true that you only let go of anger or is there a secret behind that power?" jerome asked in his mind, all those questions came because both he and Arion must have been getting weaker than their predecessor's vampire race.

The weakening of the vampire race in this day and age cannot be separated from the unwillingness of Arion and Jerome to hunt humans and drink fresh blood directly from the human body, although it is good for the survival of both who want to calm down in the middle of human life but it makes them both weaker and weaker every year.

Only holy blood can make both of them reach the perfection of being vampires again like their predecessors, but life in the midst of humans has made Arion and Jerome feel comfortable so that the two set aside to drink the sacred blood of Aurora despite the strong turmoil in their hearts to do so.

"Something's wrong" Jerome murmured

Jerome ran out of the hospital with the intention of returning to the dock to find Arion's whereabouts, with Jerome's speed not taking long to get back to the dock. Now the dock is seen crowded by people and also the media - media covering, the, from a distance above a tall building Jerome tried to find a gap where he could enter the dock area without being caught by the police who were processing the crime scene. But seeing how crowded the location makes Jerome sure if Arion has long left the place somewhere, in the heart Jerome said "Where are you, Arion?".

Jerome immediately ran back from one roof to the roof of another building and his steps came to a halt as he saw the footprints that looked so heavy that they put pressure on the roof of the building, jerome immediately approached the footprints and examined them.

"Whose leg is this?" jerome asked curious and also surprised, so large the footprint that made Jerome not sure if the marks left were Arion's feet.

"If it's Arion's former leg, it means he drank holy blood? No... it is impossible, even if he drank it he must be currently rampaging without concern around.....what is really going on?" jerome muttered in astonishment, but in his heart he felt relieved because Arion's absence at that time signaled that Arion was fine.

On the other hand at the same time, Arion was seen jumping high up to the top of the Gervaso tower building. With a body that looks to emit smoke due to sunburn and also the look of a tired face, Arion slowly regulate his breath that gasps. His footsteps staggered close to the emergency exit, while Danilson opened the door with a gasping breath.

"Master!! are you okay?!" danilson asked frantically, along with Danilson giving a special cloth that made Arion avoid the sun.

"Continue the research on holy blood that works very well" said Arion with breathing is still irregular, after saying that Arion also gave two injections that look no more contents to Danilson.

"You.. use both, what does it mean.." Danilson said, Arion cut it.

"I couldn't control myself, the side effects were too strong and made me lose consciousness" Arion said

"Then how can you use this antidote?" danilson asked curiously, Arion was silent for a while. His face looks so sorry.

"I realized when I imagined the face of Aurora who smiled at me. I went back to doing stupid things, Danilson, Danilson?!" asked Arion sounding sad and full of regret, Danilson also looks very surprised to hear Arion's words.

Danilson asks Arion to enter the building and asks him to tell her everything that has happened, still with a staggered step - Arion agrees to Danilson's request. In one of the rooms in the Gervaso tower, Arion tells of everything that has happened between him, Aurora, Jerome and the mafia. With great focus Danilson listened to every story Arion, although the look of his face showed sadness and regret.

For the first time Danilson saw Arion's body and mental condition was not good - that's when Danilson realized that his master really loved Aurora. It makes Danilson think of the best way for Arion to recover and be able to do his best for Aurora, regret that looks from the look of Arion's face makes Danilson feel guilty.

Danilson is the figure behind Aurora's involvement to cover up the mafia transactions, with Arion's approval they finally devise a plan for Arion to become a hero when Aurora is desperate because of Jerome in the mafia siege. In collaboration with Robert, both Danilson and Arion feel that the plan will be perfect but they forget one important thing if not all members of the mafia know not to attack Aurora. Until the unexpected happens and Aurora is dying. Now Danilson must face Arion's state of fear for Aurora's deteriorating condition.

Not finding Arion makes Jerome finally decide to meet Diego at his residence. At Diego's doorstep, Jerome's thoughts start to get into his head. Coming to give the bad news about Aurora's condition is not an easy thing to do, many times Jerome tried to knock but he paled until finally arrived - the door was open, open, from behind the door, Diego wants to take out the trash. Seeing Jerome right in front of his house with a sad face, without saying anything at that time Diego understood that Aurora was getting into trouble. Diego pulled Jerome's collar, then said..

"What's going on, Jerome?!!" diego snapped with a furious tone that implied such great worry

"Sorry Diego, I can't take good care of him. It all happened so quickly and outside ken.." Jerome said, Diego cut it.

"Then what's your use next to it?! what happened to him this time?! why are you vampires never useful to my son?!! then why would I let you all be around Aurora?!!" timpal Diego was so angry, because the guilt that was so great that Jerome could only shut up and accept all of Diego's anger at him.

"Take me to Aurora's place." Diego stammered, Jerome just nodded in acceptance of Diego's request.
