Love In The Wound

Love In The Wound
Chapter 31

Pov Dikha's

A month or so has passed, It was a long day for me, because Naima was two weeks away from teaching the children again. I also never saw him around his house if passing or just visiting for friends.

Really, it's been so torturous for my life. I miss him so much. Don't know why? Ever since I first saw her, I have never lost this love let alone imagined the beauty and tenderness of her nature. She is also very friendly and motherly when teaching children.

I keep this feeling in my chest until now, there is not the slightest courage to convey my desire to ask for it. Afraid that her parents would reject my intentions.

What's more when I found out, Naima has been betrothed to Rohman who incidentally is the son of a rich man in my village.

While I was just a farm boy, every day I just helped Dad grow vegetables in the garden. And after Bakdah Zuhur I continued to find my cattle which numbered three. Then I taught the kids to teach.

Ah, who are the parents who would accept me as his ex. Because in fact, all they know is that I'm unemployed in that village.

Moreover, Mr. Naima is one who wants to make his son happy in terms of economics.

Oh my God, how is this? What am I supposed to do? On the one hand, I'm glad Naima wasn't being betrothed, but on the other hand, conveyed my wish.

"Dikha!" Call Dad suddenly. My eyes immediately turned towards him.

"Do you really like Pak Bakti's son?" Ask Dad later. I was a little surprised by how Dad knew I liked Pak Bakti's daughter.

"Daddy talk like that?" Means back. While shifting my sitting position on the long chair on the front porch of my house so that Dad can sit.

Bugs!

Dad patted my shoulder.

"Dad knows how you looked at Naima when you met." He smiled as if he was teasing me. Oh, my God, why can you read my heart, when he only sees it from the look in my eyes. Whether you can read someone's mind is great, I thought.

"But it feels like a delusion, Dad," I replied. This chest tightness when saying that sentence in front of Dad.

"What scares you, son?" Ask Dad again.

"We're only here to live as if. All the land you've been selling for me to get into the boarding school and people know we don't have it

Dad looked to behead a sign of understanding while reddening his lips.

"Let's be Daddy's business" he said again. I don't know what Dad's planning, but for sure I believe you're gonna do what's best for me.

After a few minutes, two mothers passed by on our porch gossiping. I heard clearly they mentioned Naima's name.

"It turns out that Si Naima was finished in rape to Bu, did not expect the girl who looks pious until engulfed by irresponsible people," said Bu Wiwik his name.

"Yes, said Bu Iren, Pak Bakti's assistant, currently Naima is sick as she shows signs of people cravings" said Bu Tika.

The deg!

My heart was beating fast, hearing their conversation. What is this that causes Kanaya no longer want to teach teaching.

Dad looked at me with eyes I couldn't guess.

The two mothers greeted us after ending their conversation.

"Assalamualaikum Pak Ridwan, Mas Dikha," said the two together.

Of course we also say at the same time.

"Wa'allaikumsalam," we answered.

"There is new news sir, he said Mas Rohman still wants to marry Naima, although now bunting," said Bu Wiwik who sounded soft at the end of his sentence while making a round circle on his stomach.

Of course I immediately flinched and the reflex stood up.

"Did Mom, Bang Rohman stick to his decision?" Ask me directly.

"Yes, he sincerely accepted the baby that Naima had conceived. After all, it was an accident he said not intentional Zina," said Bu Tika.

O Allah, my legs suddenly felt weak, incredulous and could not imagine if Naima remained in the wife of Bang Rohman.
