Chapter 14 Engagement and Rejection

On a sunny morning Love and Tina are shocked to get a message from Hana, Love's mother. 

"Mom will stop by your house and stay for a few days" she wrote.

"Oh yeah mom will be home for dinner, so it won't interfere with your work" he said.

Tina and Love were busy thinking of ways to keep her mother from coming home. The presence of his mother would only add new problems for him. Especially with Razi who lives with them.

"Let's just say that we're filming out of town, and then send him some money" said Love.

"Okay, Tina will try." Tina swiftly did what Love told her, not long after the reply message from her mother came.

"You're busy next time you come. Your aunt suddenly got sick and asked to be taken to the hospital. I love you, " she wrote.

Seeing his mother's unfinished answer, they were relieved by it. "Well, I shouldn't have provoked mom yesterday at a time like this."

"Sister's mother is very cunning! Asking for something at will, when his will is fulfilled, there is a reason."

During the day Randi comes to the house of Love to offer his help. Randi works in the film industry as a director. Five years ago Randi was the one who supported her to become an artist.

Randi's struggle to support him at that time, made Love began to open to him and consider him as a friend.

Randi has loved Love since childhood, but he harbored his feelings until now.  Randi offers Cinta to raise her popularity again, by making the engagement a setting with her.

Rangga who from the outside had eavesdropped long enough, suddenly immediately broke in. "He wouldn't want to do that, even if Love wanted to, I'm the one who deserves the most to raise his popularity!" rangga.

Love and Randi were surprised to see Rangga who suddenly came.

"I think what Rangga said is true, isn't it Randi?" ask Love.

"I guess," replied Randi while forcing her smile.

Randi actually does not agree with that, but he cannot avoid the facts. 

Defeated by the popularity of a CEO of a large company. When compared to him, who was only a director, it was very much different. 

After a few days there was news that shocked the public, the news of the engagement of Love an artist of a warm homeland was talked about, and Rangga a CEO of the largest fashion company.

Although the engagement was a setting, they deliberately made the event look real in the public eye. Inviting guests from among artists, successful entrepreneurs and some famous directors.

Their engagement in the title in a massive way, in order to easily raise the popularity of Love which declined drastically due to the events of that time.

With the news of his engagement with Rangga, they do not know if there are people who increasingly hate their relationship. 

The person who had been silent and hiding all along. Started to bring out its fangs bit by bit. 

The night of the engagement arrived, the moon that shone brightly with the stars illuminated the figure of Love that became the main star of the night.

White in a red dress wrapped in a knick knickknacks. Love Clothes was designed by Maggie Hutauruk Eddy, a famous designer from Indonesia who had lived in America.

Maggie and Rangga have known each other since she was in college in America, even since she was a teenager her late mother often ordered clothes on Maggie. 

Maggie designed the wedding clothes of Rangga and Zira. Zira is the name of Rangga's wife.

When Maggie came to meet with Cinta, she even called her name wrong, but Cinta ignored it without asking further.

Randi also attends their engagement event, she comforts herself by saying in her heart. "It's just a setting". 

Repeatedly he repeated the sentence and restrained his anger for the Love of the one he loved.

The peak event finally arrived, the exchange of engagement rings began. Rangga put a gold ring, slowly on the ring finger of Love's left hand, and he did the same to Rangga.

The guests clapped their hands, warmly welcoming the new couple who were going viral. A beautiful artist, engaged to a successful businessman with the status of a widower.

Some other entrepreneurs are envious of Rangga because they can get a young artist wife.

Reporters hired, they invited to photograph such moments. Their presence as pawns will help, to raise its popularity.

The shooting session lasted quite a long time, initially Rangga took unilateral advantage of it. 

He purposely hugged her by wrapping his hands around Love's waist, then slowly whispered in her ear. "Let's act." 

Eventually, she followed the man's invitation. He returned his embrace and then wrapped his hands to the back of Rangga's neck, facing each other and staring at each other with a warm smile.

Hugs that are so intimate and full of feelings for each other, to make anyone who sees will feel jealous.

"Your acting is not bad" said Love.

"Do you think it's all just acting?" ask Rangga.

"Of course, if it wasn't for real?" sindir Love.

"Did you pretend you didn't know that I liked you in the first place or maybe you closed your eyes on purpose."

Love tried to take off the man's embrace, but Rangga did not stretch his embrace, he even further tightened the embrace.

Love cannot dwell much, for people are looking towards them.

"Can you let go of this hug?"

"No! Answer my question honestly first" said Rangga.

"A I don't know" Love replied, casting her eyes off.

"Well we'll keep going like this, if you're not being honest with yourself."

Rangga further tightened his embrace until their bodies clung to each other, until he felt the warmth of the body of Love. Love can feel the warm breath of the man.

The Heart of Love is beating fast, not bad. He could not think clearly, his goal just wanted Rangga to release him immediately.

"I don't like you! Our relationships are just mutually beneficial, to each other" Love replied.

Hearing Love's reply, Rangga felt a little disappointed, because of his dishonesty. "It turns out so. All right, I understand." 

Rangga immediately took off his embrace and left Love. Love can only smile at those who see it, to cover up what has happened between them.

Love realizes that it has gone too far, by lying to yourself, and hurting the man she likes.

But somehow his heart felt calm, after he did that. Love felt that if he accepted Rangga, he would regret his decision one day.
