Love Because Love

Love Because Love
I'M BACK

"Huh?" Laurel could not control her lips let out a voice to express her surprise.

Husband? Laurel shook her head still not believing what she had just heard. Some time later he realized that before leaving Indonesia he had signed his marriage license with the man. But she really did not expect that the man still took her seriously to marry him while on their wedding day Laurel chose to lie and run away.

"I'm not going back to Indonesia, don't wait for me" Laurel said in a slightly taut tone.

"Learn well there, I'll wait for you. If you need anything...." Laurel grinds her teeth against a man who to her is shameless, forces her to marry, forces her to sign a marriage license, and now wants to force her home.

"Don't wait for me, thanks for your attention," Laurel immediately cut the man's words, and without waiting for a response from across the street Laurel closed her phone, her tears immediately broke back, feeling betrayed by a lover, and she was not happy, made a victim by a stepmom, now she must face the terror of her unknown husband.

Laurel rubbed her cheek with the back of her palm, took a deep breath, it felt useless that she was crying at this moment, not going to finish anything. Laurel stood up, looking at her face in front of the glass attached to the wall next to her bed.

“I will finish my studies well, I will become a great specialist doctor, I will prove that I can survive and achieve my dreams with my strength,” Laurel said quietly in front of the glass, pointing at his own face.

“Don't give up Laurel, you can!” Laurel forced a smile on her lips to encourage herself.

2 YEARS LATER

Laurel glanced at the phone lying on her desk, from the first phone call from her husband when she arrived in America, the man never called her again, but every morning for 2 years he was in America, there was always a new message from men, whether he said good morning, whether he asked Laurel, or asked about Laurel's study, or about Laurel, whether there is difficulty or not, some times even men ask for his account number to transfer money. Never once did Laurel reply to those messages even though she always read them.

As usual that morning Laurel read a new message from her phone, but this time it was not a message from her husband, from one of her cousins who were both studying medicine but in Indonesia. Upon reading the news from Renata, her cousin Laurel immediately contacted her.

“Renata, what happened?”

“I also just heard the news this morning,” Laurel took a deep breath, today she heard two really unpleasant news, he said, the first Freya had an accident when she came home from school with her friend while riding a motorbike with a piggy bank, second, her childhood friend, Cladia Sanjaya whose house next to her family's house had a disaster, watching his best friend being raped and killed before his eyes, he himself almost became a murder victim as well.

“Freya suffered a minor bone injury, but your mother had not stopped crying to see Freya's condition. Actually your mama forbade me to give you info about Freya, but it's good you know to be able to calm your mama.” Laurel took a deep breath. Since the wedding day he fled to America, for two years he has not called his mother at all, just messaged each other, besides their relationship has not improved too much, they also think about the cost of phone calls.

“I'll try to contact mama later,”

“Ok, for the matter of Cladia, I also heard from my friend who is Jeremy's man, Cladia's brother,”

“How is Cladia condition now?” Laurel massaged her forehead which suddenly felt a little dizzy from hearing bad news today.

“I'm not so clear, but according to the news, it seems Cladia was quite hit, since the incident she just locked herself in the room, at night she often had nightmares that caused her to scream hysterically.” Laurel could only be speechless hearing Renata's explanation. He can imagine the burden that Cladia went through, a year ago both her parents died in an accident, only Jeremy's brother was the only one who took care of her after the deaths of both of her parents, and her brother was the only one who had taken care of her after her death, and a few days ago he experienced such a terrible event.

“It's a shame that Ornado has returned to Italy, if not, he will definitely be able to take care of Cladia,” Renata frowned.

“Who Ornado?”

“Xanderson Group Heir? Who is currently 22 years old and has just received all the responsibility because Alberto Xanderson is seriously ill?” Laurel moved her head to the side, it turned out that Renata was quite following the news about the world economy, until she knew about the detailed news about the development of the Xanderson Group, one of the major groups driving the world economy.

“Betul, that man, if only at this time he was still on Cladia's side, but a soul mate, birth and death, who could have expected it. Ok, thanks for the info Renata, I'll call mama, next time we connect again,”

“Ok, take care of yourself there Laurel, there you are away from family and relatives, in the land of people, bye,” Renata hang up. For a while Laurel was silent looking at her phone, her mind alternated with shadows about Freya who had an accident and Cladia who was experiencing a disaster. Laurel took a deep breath before finally deciding to call Denia, her mother to ask about Freya's current condition.

5 YEARS OF YOUTH

Laurel who just got out of the taxi stands in front of the fence of her house, it's been 7 years since she left this humble house, and today he again set foot here after delaying his return for the past 6 months.

A year ago when his internal medicine specialist college was less than 1 year away from graduating, he got news from Aunt Lina that his business was having problems so he could no longer support Laurel's tuition fees. At that time Laurel who had undergone part-time work there had to take 2 part-time jobs at once in order to cover her needs while there. For the tuition he was not at all worried because he was getting a scholarship with his outstanding academic achievements, but for the daily living expenses, he said, homestay fees and the cost of doing college assignments he had to keep looking for it himself. Fortunately one of his part-time jobs was caring for an 85-year-old nursing grandmother, a job that made him a lot of money.

6 Months ago she received news that her husband died of illness, leaving behind a legacy of his papal heritage and a sum of deposit money, which in fact made her very embarrassed, feeling unworthy to receive it. At the time of receiving the news of her death about her husband there is quite a sense of guilt that haunts Laurel, because it is not like Aunt Lina's assumption that in a year and two her husband must have filed for divorce, in fact, until the news of her death was heard in Laurel's ears, her husband never once touched on the issue of divorce. Although she does not love her husband at all, but as a normal human being, Laurel also has feelings, however on her wedding day she runs away, she has humiliated her husband and their extended family, and the, even with money they have silenced all mouths so that no news can be said about it.

Laurel's biggest regret is the sudden death of her husband without giving him a chance to apologize. Laurel's initial plan was to return to Indonesia to apologize to her husband and family and file for divorce, but it seems that the plan was a plan, no longer possible.

Since Laurel's husband died, Denia almost daily forced him to return to Indonesia, but until she graduated from her specialist Laurel insisted on continuing her studies in America. With his new status as an internal medicine specialist, a month before his return to Indonesia he was successfully received at the Anugrah Indonesia Hospital which is the largest and most modern private hospital in Indonesia.

“Kakak!” A beautiful girl ran up to Laurel and hugged her tightly, then kissed her cheek.

“Ma! Brother is home!” Freya took off her embrace, pulling Laurel's hand to immediately enter the house.

Upon hearing the screaming sound of Freya a middle-aged woman came out with her wet hands as she hurriedly washed her hands and ran out welcoming Laurel. For a while Denia pecked, looking at Laurel with a face of disbelief until finally the tears flowed down her cheeks without being held back. Laurel took a deep breath, her chest a little claustrophobic with the taste of haru, by rushing near her mother and hugging her tightly.

“Finally you go home son,” Denia gently stroked Laurel's hair.

“Im sorry mommy son,” Laurel hugged her mom tightly with her tears that instantly broke her defenses, flooding her cheeks.

“Forcible Laurel ma, Laurel can not be a dutiful child,” Denia kept her face away from Laurel, with both hands held her face, then kissed her two cheeks Laurel alternately, repeatedly.

“Laurel kangen ma Denia wiped the tears on Laurel's cheek.

“Motherwise, for mama, you're still mama's little girl. Let's sit inside. Freya, put all your brother's luggage in,” Freya nodded and immediately ran towards the gate, picking up Laurel's suitcases, assisted by the taxi driver and their household assistant.
