Love Because Love

Love Because Love
CAN'T AVOID

Laurel breathed a sigh of relief as soon as the meeting was closed by Dave, it felt like today's meeting was enough to make him not feel good because of the excitement that occurred due to talking about the race. During the meeting today, it felt like Laurel was the main talk, no longer about the sheep.

After the meeting was declared complete, everyone in the room immediately rushed to leave the meeting room, leading to the hospital canteen because the break had already begun. Laurel and Nia who get a seat in the corner automatically become the last people to leave the room besides Dave and Leo who are still sitting in front, let the other employees out of the room first.

As Laurel and Nia, walking in the back row, begin to draw closer to Dave and Leo, sitting down, Dave suddenly stands up from his seat, made Laurel slightly retreat because their bodies almost collided.

"I'm sorry boss," Laurel apologized immediately, looking at Dave's cold face, again without a smile, looking at him with a sharp look, as if his mood today was not good, it was as if there had just been an unpleasant incident in his heart.

"I'll give myself lunch and rest for a maximum of 10 minutes after it comes to my office" Without waiting for a response from Laurel, Dave steps away and leaves the meeting room followed by Leo behind. Laurel could only take a deep breath hearing Dave's orders. I don't know what mistake he made this time, just because he almost hit him?

Whose fault was he so suddenly standing up as I walked towards him to get out of this room? If I don't go through it, what direction do I have to go to get out of this room? Laurel grumbled a bit in her heart, but she could only shake her head because she still could not find the reason why Dave had asked her to his office again.

"Why else with the boss? It seemed like her face seemed displeased when telling you to go to her office," Laurel could only shake her head at Nia's question, because to be honest she also had no idea what was really going on.

"Come in," Hearing a voice declaring permission to enter her room, Laurel slowly opens Dave's door.

"The boss," Dave nodded slowly, glancing at the clock on his wrist, exactly 10 minutes had passed since they parted in the meeting room, if only he did not remember the position of the man sitting in front of him was his boss, it felt like Laurel wanted to catch him because of the snob. How he had to finish his lunch in the cafeteria within 10 minutes, the journey from the meeting room took about 3 minutes, and from the canteen to the office of the eagle-eyed took 3 minutes, not yet the time to queue at the cafeteria, not yet the time to eat, it felt like 10 minutes was completely the same as ordering her not to have lunch. But it's not Laurel that she just gave up.

Don't think that since I can't possibly finish my lunch in 10 minutes, it means that I'll meet you straight away, Laurel whispered inwardly.

Although Laurel knew Dave had accidentally made her skip her lunch, she also purposely met Dave exactly 10 minutes after they split up in the meeting room, as agreed.

"It seems like you're a really punctual person," Laurel smiled even though she grimaced at the fact that she felt Dave's words just now were not to praise her, but to subtly insinuate her.

"Don't worry boss, time discipline issues, I'm always reliable," Hearing the insinuations just now, instead of Laurel silently asserting, he replied in a stupid style, saying, it was as if he did not understand that Dave had just insinuated it, making a glimpse of Dave buying his eyes, but Dave hurriedly turned his eyes away as if he didn't want Laurel to know he was surprised enough by Laurel's bold attitude just now to get back at him.

"Good then, if indeed you are a reliable person with disciplinary problems it feels like you can also rely on training problems to participate in the race," Laurel furrowed her brows hearing Dave's words.

"I can't play basketball or boss volleyball, I'd better be in social service" without responding to Laurel's words, dave's index finger shows a snippet of an article lying in front of them about a high school inter-school basketball race won by the High School where Laurel attended, but that's not all, it is clearly written that the captain of the basketball team at that time was named Laurel Tanputra.

After that Dave showed me another piece of article about the volleyball race that was again won by Laurel High School and there was written by one of the volleyball team members named Laurel Tanputra. Reading the two articles Laurel could only be silent while taking a deep breath without being able to speak anymore. In his heart he was really curious, where did his boss get the article about it, but of course Laurel's lips did not dare to be presumptuous by asking that to the eagle eye.

"But boss." Dave propped his elbows up on his desk, with his palms clasped together and his eyes staring intently at Laurel with a hostile look, without a smile and tends to be cold, as if waiting for Laurel to continue speaking, expressed rejection at her request, making Laurel actually stop talking, then hold her breath for a while before continuing to speak.

"Boss, I'm just in basketball if I have to choose one," Laurel finally chose to express her willingness to take part in one of the races, it felt like looking at Dave's gaze he would rather give up than argue, after all his feeling said he would not win arguing with the eagle eye.

"I don't give you a choice, you're in mixed volleyball, not basketball" Laurel looked at Dave, but it seemed that his eyes showed that Dave's decision could no longer be made.

"Why should I go to volleyball? I am quite an expert at basketball. The boss could see for himself from the article, "His hand was Laurel pointing to the article lying in front of Dave, articles about her as the captain of the women's basketball team at her school managed to bring her team to get the first champion.

"No, you just volley, here are many doctors who are good at basketball too," Hearing that Laurel can only be silent, it feels free to argue with the eagle eye.

"All right, it's up to the boss. Then excuse me,"

"Wait," Laurel who was about to get up stood holding back her movements and returned to her sitting position heard the voice of the command from her boss.

"Is there anything you want to tell me?" Laurel furrowed her brows, feeling clueless as to what Dave meant. Seeing the response from Laurel, Dave took a deep breath, moving his elbow from resting on his desk to being folded on his desk.

"I heard someone was moving house next week" Laurel was a little jolted at Dave's words. Laurel didn't expect Dave to hear about it. Indeed, he planned to move back to the house of his father, in addition to his position much closer to where he worked, of course he did not want if the house was destroyed and made into an apartment. Laurel did plan to invite Luciana, Nia, Arnold and Feri, just four of her colleagues to have a simple dinner together when she moved house later, but he really didn't expect that Dave would hear about the plan either.

"Sorry boss, not a big event, I just intend to take a simple dinner with a few colleagues," Without answering Laurel's words, Dave thrust a piece of paper and a ballpoint pen at Laurel.

"Write the full address of your new home, write down the day and date. What time is the event?" Laurel can only close her eyes for a moment, then look back at Dave with lips silenced forced smile, because she does not know what to do other than obey the request of her boss.

Laurel can only write down as requested by Dave, the full address of his papa's estate, the day, date and time of the dinner he plans to have together. Laurel took a little deep breath, if she decided to invite her boss, automatically it would no longer be a simple dinner event, but a housewarming party, and that means he has to invite doctors and other employees if not to say arrogant or looking for face for inviting the boss without inviting others.

Laurel breathed a sigh of relief once she was able to get out of Dave's room which to her was like a torture chamber to her. Although the boss is a handsome man who looks charming, which sometimes makes it difficult to take his eyes off the figure of the man, he is, but the coldness of his eyes that seemed to want to swallow him round and round often makes Laurel want to get away from him immediately. Laurel glanced at the watch in her hand, showing that at 12:45, it felt that now she had to go to the cafeteria her break would still not be enough, so Laurel prefers to go back to her office before she goes back to the internal medicine polyclinic to get back on duty, at least in her office she can cool off for 10 minutes before returning to work. As soon as Laurel threw her body into her chair she saw something on her desk, a white plastic.

Laurel directs her body to approach her desk, takes the white plastic and opens it, in it looks sweet meat loaf, a grapefruit and her favorite vanilla box milk, inside was a piece of paper that read: "Don't miss your lunch, enjoy it, enjoy it,"
