Love Because Love

Love Because Love
RETURN TO THE ORIGINAL PLACE

“Hey, are you still here?” Luciana immediately reprimanded Laurel once she managed to find the figure of Laurel who had been looking everywhere. Laurel immediately turned to hear the voice of someone behind her.

“How's your mama doing?” Laurel immediately smiled at Luciana's question.

“He had much better, he said earlier in addition to bringing medicine, his friend who came also brought porridge and many biscuits.” Luciana smiled at Laurel's words.

“Come, the others are done, we will all say goodbye to the boss to go home,” Lusiana immediately pulled Laurel's hand, invited her back into the meeting room. As soon as they entered, some people seemed to have said goodbye and thanked Dave.

“Bos, thanks for the transaction tonight, we say back home first,” Roy represents Nia, Arnold and Feri who are nearby to thank and let go home to Dave. Luciana and Laurel hurriedly approach Dave to do the same as his comrades.

“Bos, me and Laurel said well, thanks for the delicious dinner today,” Dave smiled at the words of Luciana, a glance at Laurel who stood behind Luciana, her position was now like a child following her mother wherever she went, as if afraid that her mother would leave her in the midst of a crowd of strangers.

“Lus, you just go home first, my sister's car keys are left in my office,” Laurel whispered softly into Lusiana's ears who immediately nodded.

“Ok, see you tomorrow morning, be careful on the road,” Lusiana and Laurel slightly nodded their heads towards Dave to give a final salute before they stepped away. Luciana walks towards the parking lot, while Laurel returns to her office to retrieve Freya's borrowed car keys.

When Laurel returns to her office, she sees a paper bag filled with the nightgowns and clothes of Dave's younger sister whom she has washed and she irons, which she originally planned to return to Dave today, but since he had been so busy all day, he had completely forgotten about those two clothes. Laurel grabbed the car keys from the table and also the paper bag containing the clothes. Laurel plans to follow Dave back to the meeting room, hoping that Dave will still be in the meeting room, so that he can return the clothes immediately.

Laurel walks back to the Bina Bersama meetinghouse, which means she has to pass through Dave's office if she wants to go there. When Laurel almost reached the front of Dave's office, she saw Dave who walked towards his office with Leo, walking in tandem. Just as Laurel sees Dave, both Dave and Leo also look towards Laurel who is walking towards them.

Leo slightly furrowed his eyebrows because he did not expect to see Laurel who was still in the hospital, while other friends had all gone home. At first glance Leo glanced at Dave's face which looked not surprised at all to see the figure of Laurel who was still in the hospital. From his calm face Leo could guess that Dave already knew that Laurel was still in the hospital. Seeing that Leo immediately smiled, no wonder earlier when Leo asked if he would go home to the big house today Dave replied no. The name big house is used by Leo and people close to Dave to mention Dave's parents' residence.

“Night the boss, doctor Leo,” Leo immediately smiled at Laurel's greeting, his arm slightly moved towards Dave's arm when he saw Dave's face that remained flat without a smile on his face.

“Night doctor Laurel, why haven't you gone home like the others?” Laurel immediately smiled at Leo's doctor's question, her lips were just about to say that she intended to return the clothes she had borrowed from Dave's younger sister, but she recalled talking about Dave's private house that not just anyone was allowed to go there, leading Laurel to rethink, fearing that she might have mispronounced Dave and Leo.

“Eh, there's something I need to talk to the boss,” Hearing Laurel's reply, Leo slightly bought his eyes, then quickly glanced at Dave, trying to pry info from Dave's face, as far as their relationship goes, Laurel took the initiative to see Dave tonight. But from Dave's flat face Leo soon knew nothing had happened between the two of them, no development at all.

“Oooo, ok, then I say go home first,” Leo immediately took the initiative to leave them both, although he could not guess why tonight Laurel is looking for Dave.

“Eh, doctor Leo, I just need to talk for a while with the boss, I'll be leaving soon,” Leo laughed at Laurel's slightly nervous tone of voice when she said just now.

“Take it easy, our boss is tame, he won't bite you. I just remembered something that I should finish at home. Finish your business, too. I went home first, good night all,” Laurel immediately fell silent, glimpsed Dave who seemed no intention at all to block the departure of Leo, just as Leo left, just as he left, he opened his office door and entered the room, leaving Laurel pensive, silent in her original position. Seeing no movement from Laurel, Dave looked back, glimpsed Laurel who was still silent in her place.

“Do you still have any need with me? If so, we better talk inside,” Hear an order from Dave, Laurel slowly follows the steps Dave enters his office.

As soon as Dave entered the door of the glass-walled house, Dave turned his back because he felt he no longer heard Laurel's footsteps following him. Dave narrowed his eyes slightly at the silent Laurel, standing in the middle of the path between the exit of his office and the entrance of his glass house.

"Didn't you say something to me?" Laurel stepped up slowly to hear Dave's question standing in the middle of the door of her house that she had just opened. As soon as Laurel got in front of Dave, both hands moved up, thrusting the paper bag she had been carrying, Dave immediately scrunched his forehead looking at the bag.

"Sorry boss, I've only got a chance to return it now, this is the outfit I borrowed from the boss' sister when I spent the night here," Dave shifted his gaze from the bag Laurel was holding to Laurel's face.

"If you really intend to return it, return it to its original place," Laurel who was initially slightly bowed immediately raised her head to hear Dave's words that immediately moved her head to the side, as if pointing towards the room that some time ago occupied Laurel. Laurel slightly held her breath before finally stepping up the stairs walking towards the room to hang the clothes she had borrowed back to where she had been. From the direction of the living room Dave's eyes did not blink observing Laurel who was walking towards that room.

As soon as Laurel finished putting the clothes back in place, she hurriedly walked out of the room, down the stairs and met Dave who was standing behind her, who was gazing towards the park around the path.

"Boss, I've put it back where it was, I say goodbye first," Dave turned his body immediately upon hearing Laurel's voice.

"What other than thank youyou you don't owe me an apology?" Laurel's eyes widened to hear Dave's question, quickly Laurel immediately remembered the problem of his conversation with Hana who he had accidentally heard earlier at the dinner.

"Sorry boss, I overheard the boss talking to Hana's doctor" Dave took a deep breath at Laurel's confession.

"How much have you heard?"

"I don't know the boss, maybe.., almost all the talk," Dave was a little overwhelmed by Laurel's plain words.

"Relax boss, I won't say anything to anyone" Dave stared deeply into Laurel's face.

"Nothing happened between me and Hana, our relationship was just a classmate in High School, and now it just so happens that we work in the same hospital, our relationship is nothing more than that," Laurel becomes misbehaved to hear Dave's explanation that for him she doesn't need to hear because he's just Dave's son, Dave's nobody so need to hear clarification from Dave about his relationship with Hana, although in her heart, Laurel is unknowingly relieved to hear Dave explain that there is no relationship between her and Hana other than a relationship as a former classmate in High School and now only limited to ordinary coworking relationships.

"Boss, there's no need to explain anything to me, I don't have a right to the boss's private life, just like the boss doesn't deserve my personal life," Dave immediately walked over to Laurel hearing her words just now, his face turning tense, indicating he was unhappy with Laurel's words just now.

"Are you sure I don't have any rights over you?" Laurel immediately walked back to see Dave's suddenly changed eyes staring at him sharply, and unlike usual not just a sharp and cold gaze, this time there seemed to be an aura of anger that felt thick.

"A..., what does boss mean?" Stammering Laurel asked what Dave's words meant just now.
