INVITATION

With both hands inserted into his trouser pocket, Dave stood in front of the glass wall of the second floor of his private home building as his eyes looked towards the field south of the building now in his place. Seen the basketball team has finished their training, while the volleyball and futsal teams are still seen practicing on the field. Dave's eyes stared at the concrete chairs on the edge of a neatly lined volleyball court. Leo smiled at the cheerful faces of the employees who got dinner from Dave tonight, glimpsed at Laurel who looks busy with her phone with a serious face. Seeing that Leo immediately walked up to Laurel.

"Is something going on?" Laurel gasped in shock at Leo's question, and hurriedly shook her head.

"Eh, no doc, it's just that I just received a message from my mom's house I need stomach medicine, because since a few days my mom's stomach is in trouble. It seemed like I couldn't join in for dinner with the others, doc," Hearing Laurel's words, Leo slightly furrowed his brows.

"If you don't come, someone might be disappointed" Laurel smiled at Leo's doctor, who also smiled to tease him.

"No one will be disappointed doc, after all I'm still a new employee here, my absence may not be too visible," Leo immediately laughed at the answer from Laurel, his fingers moved straight up, and he was very happy, scratching his forehead, he seemed to be thinking about something.

"How about you ask your own permission to the boss not to come. The boss invited us, so in honor of his invitation you told the boss yourself that you couldn't attend this dinner, '" Laurel grimaced at Leo's words.

"Why? As long as you work here, you know that our boss is notoriously kind, patient and friendly, a leader that all employees really like?"

Laurel recalled her conversation with Nia and Luciana this afternoon, it seemed that it was true that Mira had a position that was quite close to the boss looking from the special room facilities provided for her, because of that, Laurel immediately searched for Mira, the person who most likely knew of Dave's current whereabouts.

"It looks like the boss was visiting one of his patients, but maybe the boss is back in his office and waiting for dinner with the employees who are training today to prepare for the race," Mira answered Laurel's question. At first glance Laurel glanced at Mira's desk seen food brochures from several famous restaurants. Laurel smiles because it looks like her friends will get a big deal from Dave.

"Ok, thank you Mir for the info," With a sweet smile Laurel walked away from Mira's desk who could only smile at Laurel.

Laurel had just left Mira's room when she saw him from the other direction Dave was walking down the hospital corridor, seemingly walking towards her office, with Laurel hurriedly walking a little faster towards Dave. Dave looked fresh and tidy with his official outfit wrapped in his doctor's suit, it was clear that the man had taken a shower and changed after training this afternoon. Of course besides looking fresh and neat, for Laurel the man looks so handsome and charming. If only his attitude was not that cold to her, Laurel did not dare to guarantee herself not to fall in love with the man.

"Good afternoon boss," Hearing the greeting from Laurel, Dave who was originally walking while observing his cellphone immediately raised his head.

"Boss, I'm sorry I haven't had the time to thank you for the boss' help this afternoon on the field," Laurel smiled sweetly at Dave, since last day on the way to the room Mira he had tried hard to think about how to start a conversation with Dave before conveying his intention not to attend dinner with others.
