"Thank you for driving me."
Liz Nadiah's sentence seemed to be just a bad luck of the wind that did not welcome. Samwise was clapping in silence. Yet his eyes swerving to and fro sweeping through every detail of the building in front of him.
The two now stand side by side after descending from two different door wings - Samwise's car.
"Sir Sam, are you okay?" Liz Nadiah questions again when she starts to realize something is wrong with the man.
"Star Moon."
The two words that Samwise muttered successfully made Liz Nadiah aghast. His body even shifted slightly to face the man. "Mr Sam ...," he called carefully. "You ... know this Padepokan?"
Samwise started to come out of his ineptness. He turned his gaze to Liz Nadiah who was still demanding with his curiosity. "Miss Nadiah, what business do you have coming to this place?" he asked with a strange look.
Kernyitan was astonished to be seen on Liz Nadiah's face. His face turned, looked at Samwise, briefly turned on the building in front of him, then returned to the man. "This is where my adoptive parents live" he said.
"Your foster parents?" Samwise repeated ascertain. "You mean ... Gus Ammar?"
One more surprise gushed Liz Nadiah. A moment of silence, then nodded his head stiffly. "Yes" he admitted. "Do you know him?"
"No. Just know," said Samwise gamang, looks as if hiding something. "It's very late, Miss Nadiah. You better get in."
Although still lined with questions he wanted to throw, but Liz Nadiah could not deny the impropriety of the current situation. Being outside with a man, in the middle of the night like this, risks slandering, he realized. "You're right." Seraya nodded thinly. "Thank you again, Mr. Sam."
"Call Sam alone."
Liz Nadiah smiled. "Allah ... Sam's. I'm going in first. You be careful on the road."
...---...
"MasyaAllah! Nadiah! Is this really you, son?!"
With a tearful smile, Liz Nadiah nodded. Looking at an old man who had just opened the door for her. "Yes, Gus, it's me, Nadiah."
"Yes, God! Where have you been all this time?"
"I went back to my mother's hometown, Gus."
Gus Ammar is an old man who saves Liz Nadiah when she narrowly accepts a crime from a man on a lonely street that night, a few years ago. After he was expelled from the residence of his uncle-Jaya Purnama, by his wife-Nirin Hamida. Not as the name implies, the woman acts like a monster who is ready to damage at any time. Including the accident that later claimed the life of his uncle.
Until finally the incident brought Liz Nadiah to Gus Ammar. From the old man, he could continue his medical college to completion. In addition, he was also taught a variety of martial arts that did not know what his name was.
"To fortify yourself."
Three words spoken by Gus Ammar when Liz Nadiah began to move the style by the style he taught.
....
....
Minutes change hours. The morning began to fall.
Liz Nadiah looks fresher with a black umbrella dress and a matching-colored hijab - the daughter of Gus Ammar who is currently studying in Egypt. His wife had long since died.
"Feel you still as good as before, Nadiah," said Gus Ammar as he gently swept his lips using a piece of tissue.
"Alhamdulillah then." Liz Nadia's sweet smile. His palms began to busy cleaning up the dirty dishes scattered on the table. Then take her to the kitchen.
After struggling with dirty dishes and cleaning others, Liz Nadiah walked to the front yard with a plate of melon that she had shaped like a dice-strapped in both hands.
From a distance of a few meters, Liz Nadiah's steps were seen slowing down. Staring stiff, Gus Ammar who was chatting with several young men in a gazebo in the corner of the yard.
"Gift! Come, Son!" Gus Ammar called out to him with a glance of a hand.
Just a small nod, Liz Nadiah responded. Slowly he walked towards the group of men.
Upon arriving, Gus Ammar began to introduce him to young men who numbered about five people.
Liz Nadiah just nodded with an uncomfortable look. The simple faces looked at him. No flash of naf.su, no disgusting grin shown by most men. That situation was enough to make him disinclined.
"Nad" Gus Ammar's soft voice. Tomorrow, they'll all be competing in the Mayor's sports hall. Do you want to go there?" asked the old man with his fatherly smile.
"Follow it, Ukhti Nadiah. Maybe with the help of the do'a and the presence of Ukhti there, we can be stronger against the opponent" said one of the oldest-looking men among the five with a warm smile. "Tomorrow is the final match. My wife and my son will also take me."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Liz Nadia smiled back. In his heart he still felt alien to those people. Because when he was there, he was always busy with his lectures during the day, and training especially at night after the day, then sleep, and so on. There is almost no time for him even just stepping on a tour to Padepokan which is located slightly in behind the main house of Gus Ammar.
"If you all will .. I will."
