A type of flu-like virus, it's been attacking villagers lately. Because of that, the small clinic owned by Liz Nadiah was quite crowded with residents since a week ago. Luckily, Qinay is quite deft in charge like an assistant for Liz Nadiah, even though the girl has no education in the medical field, but Liz Nadiah's small lessons are quite responsive he understands, but he understands, it was also time that started getting him used to it.
The last patient, an elderly woman, had just left the clinic with a small bag of drugs given by the doctor-Liz Nadiah.
"Sister Nad, I made you some warm tea." Qinay, the 22-year-old girl offered. A small tray of two cups of tea was just placed on a small table on one side of the room. The aroma of mint leaves dipped in it roamed around.
"Yes, Nay, thank you." Liz Nadiah still seems busy. Stethoscopes, tensimeters, and so on, are being smoothed back into place. Patient data books are also other he piled neatly into his desk drawer. Only then did he walk towards where Qinay put the warm tea.
A single sip slowly flowed down his throat. The sweet taste of guava from tea with a sprinkling of low-calorie sugar is also the soothing aroma of mint leaves, enough to be a good friend in the release of tired Liz Nadiah this afternoon. "It looks like I'm going to get hooked on the taste of this tea" he said, raising a glimpse of his glass towards Qinay, with a small smile that made her look sweet.
Qinay smiled in response. "Then I no longer need to add teaser powder in it," he chuckled.
"Maybe." Liz Nadiah replied. "But I guess, I'd rather be seductive."
Qinay's laughter echoed throughout the room. "For matters of flirting, it seems that I have to bring Mr. Andromeda to this place."
The two laughed together.
"Unfortunately he's too annoying to be a seductress!" Liz Nadiah said a dime, still with his piety.
"But he's handsome!" His pair of cheeks that now contained Qinay cupped with an anxious expression, imagined Andromeda's inhumane handsome face. That guy is weird and shitty, but he's too cool to be disliked. "Aaahhh, I'm starting to go crazy, Brother Nad."
Walking towards his chair, Liz Nadiah shook his head in response to Qinay's chirping which was of course too ridiculous. "Keep you crazy, Nay. Until you're aware, Andromeda has thrown you to the top of the Himalayas."
"If it's a throw to catch another handsome demon, I don't mind" Qinay retorted.
"You're this."
The door connecting the inside of the clinic and the courtyard of the house, was left gaping. Let the wind bubbly cool the room with the smell of the drugs. Liz Nadiah and Qinay were still engrossed in their small talk.
Until ....
"Excuse me."
A man with an equivalent age size of Liz Nadiah, standing in the middle of the doorway. Glimpse bowing his shoulders, accompanied by a gloating smile, very polite.
Liz Nadiah moved to him. "Can I help you, sir?"
"Look, Doctor .. My master is ill. But he refused to be taken to the hospital."
"Then?"
"I'm asking you a favor, Doctor. To come and check on the state of my Master in his house."
A song by Avril Lavigne, titled 'I Will Be', is voiced by Zack Shangra through piano keys in front of him. Tinkling among the silence.
His perm man hair seems to be left in a mess. Horizontal striped pajama suit with a blend of blue and black, still worn from night until late afternoon today. He looks tangled.
"Your finger games are so beautiful, sir."
That voice made Zack Shangra gasp. His conscious mind wandered somewhere, back in an instant. He looked towards the door of the room which was already standing at the threshold of a woman. "I'm sorry, if I'm being disrespectful and bothering you" said the woman.
Zack Shangra got up from the spot, then stepped over to the woman. A moment he looked at it, then smiled. "Do I look feminine?"
The woman returned a smile. "No, not at all, sir. Many female singers sing male songs. And vice versa. That was so cool."
Zack Shangra's smile widened slightly. "Thank you for the compliment, and .. thank you for coming ... Doctor."
"Together, Sir. It should be." There was an inexplicable feeling Liz Nadiah had in her heart. The man's aura was too strange, to make it seem as if he was trapped in something.
The room was gray enough to be able to clearly capture the face of the man before him. There were no lights in the room. Thick curtains that hung over the window, were still left closed without gaps. Just a block of light barging in through the vents of the cube at its top gave a dimness.
Behind him, the working man who had picked him up, was still standing waiting for his master's word. Whether he should go out, or stay there at the request of Liz Nadiah who feels uncomfortable, if he is left alone with Zack Shangra.
Zack Shangra's gesture came into sight shortly after he sat on his bed, ordering his errand boy to flick the whole curtain so that Liz Nadiah would feel comfortable while inspecting it.
After the atmosphere of the room was brightly lit ....
"What do doctors want to drink?" Zack Shangra offers.
There's no answer.
"Doctor!" repeat the man.
Silent.
"Hallo, Doctor!"
Liz Nadiah was still petrified, her two eyeballs glued to Zack Shangra-tak's face.
"Miss, what's wrong with you?!" Zack Shangra changed his call. Waving her palms in front of Liz Nadiah's suddenly unmoved face stood in place, ever since after all the curtains were busy, and clearly displaying Zack Shangra's pale handsome face, because the sunlight has been flashing all over the room.
"Miss!" The palm of Zack Shangra's clap was enough to return Liz Nadiah at the moment the time was turning. His body was still losing energy. He staggered backwards, which was then swiftly captured by Zack Shangra. "Miss, are you okay?" ask the man worried. "You! Quickly get some water," Zack told his errand boy, who nodded immediately, then slammed out of the place as soon as possible following his orders.
Liz Nadiah was taken to the bed that was there. Sit on the edge slowly. He was conscious with his eyes open. But his gaze looks sad, soon began to shadow in tears. He continued to look at Zack Shangra who was now kneeling in front of him, not to be separated.
There is no word between the two. Zack Shangra now even looked at Liz Nadiah with a sharp look difficult to interpret, as if trapped inside an illusion that was unconsciously created inside him. Question after question was canceled because of the strange situation created suddenly.
The two are silent in the rhythm of the face-to-face that is insoluble.
