Live like glasses that always look ahead, not like a rearview mirror that keeps looking back. Because life has to think about the future, not just the past.

I opened my eyes slowly, my tail glaring to every side of this room, a familiar room. I slowly looked towards my right hand. The needle just popped into the back of the hand, and I saw a hanging bottle on the right side. Then, it was like there was something strange with my nose. I turned my left hand slowly closer to my nose, feeling what was attached. There were hoses piercing through both of my nostrils.

Why am I in the hospital?

"Thank God, you're awake." Suddenly two strangers who looked like westerners came up to me. I don't know them at all.

Nyut!

My head is so dizzy. It felt heavy moving this head, like it had just hit a very, very heavy concrete. Slowly hold on to that pain. I want to ask them, what happened to me until I was here?

"Why am I here?" I asked two middle-aged people who were already on my side of the bed.

The woman looks beautiful like an angel. His skin was white, his hair was straight brown. And the man looks handsome like a prince. Her skin is white, her hair is yellowish.

"You were in an accident, dear," said the middle-aged woman softly, as soft as a silk cloth. I don't know why, it seems like I've only first felt this kind of pleasant feeling. A warm feeling when called 'honey.' Like the first time I got someone calling me that.

I tried to sit down and the woman helped me. But, when my head just lifted a little, it felt like the twitching in my head was getting more painful.

"Oh...!" I grimaced in pain.

The two strangers put on a super panic-stricken look while shouting 'doctor, nurse' and also pressing the bell that was behind my bed. The doctor and nurse did not arrive. The middle-aged man whose face was still thick with westernity immediately ran out of the room to find a doctor or nurse.

"Don't imposed. You go to sleep first." The woman lowered my head slowly and lovingly.

"My head really hurts!" I grabbed my hair until I made the bandage attached to my head slide and loosen. It really hurt, and I added to the pain.

But when I did, the woman roared hysterically. He asked me not to hurt myself. I felt sorry for him and stopped my hands from pulling my hair.

"Don't do that again." Her tears just broke.

If you look at what he did to me, maybe he was my mother. But why don't I remember it? What's with my head? What the hell is going on with me?

The doctor and nurse just walked into my room with the man. It seemed, the man's face was a little pale. Is it because of me? The doctor asked the two strangers to leave the room. He wants to check on me.

Author's POV.

Before events.

Today is going to be a really beautiful day for Kevin and Kesya. The day on which they will celebrate their sixteen year wedding anniversary. However, at this age of marriage that can be said to be long, they are still not blessed with a child. Fifteen years ago, Kesya had a miscarriage that was severe enough to make the wall of her uterus damaged and had to be removed. Although Kesya cannot bear a child, Kevin's affection and love for her will not fade. According to Kevin, a child is not something that must be forced in married life like this. There are rarely guys like Kevin.

"Honey, where are we going?" kevin asked his beloved wife, Kesya.

Kevin still hasn't stopped calling Kesya by calling dear. Kevin is afraid, if calling Kesya with the call 'mama', will offend Kesya later.

"How about having lunch at your restaurant?" advice to the husband..

Kevin accepted his beloved wife's request, and they immediately rushed to settle down, then they left.

Not far from the direction of their house, Kesya saw the figure of a girl who was smashing her head into the wall. I don't know what his purpose was to do that, but it was to torture himself.

"Dear, stop!" kesya's orders.

Kevin stopped his car and pulled over. "What's up, honey?" Kevin frowning.

"Well." He turned to the girl. "Woman why? We're tolongi, yuk, honey." Kesya opened the door of her car, followed by Kevin, and ran up to the girl who was covered in blood around her head.

"I want to die" he said.

However, after saying those three words, the little girl went blank and almost fell down. Kesya held him back so that he would not fall to the ground. Kevin helps his wife and holds the girl in the car. They took him to the hospital.

Author's Pov

"Fan, how's it going?" kesya asked frantically when she saw Doctor Fanny who had just finished checking on the state of the girl was closing the door. Doctor Fanny just came out of the girl's treatment room.

"It seems, my guess is right. The girl had amnesia" she said in a voice signifying regret.

Doctor Fanny's statement made Kesya drown. I don't know why he felt that painful thing coming for the second time. Kesya did not know who the girl was, but why was she so worried about the state of the girl? I don't know, maybe it was her motherly soul calling that made her like this, or it was a messy taste to the little girl.

Kevin shoring up Kesya's little body. He knew what Kesya felt after hearing the painful news from Doctor Fanny. "Is that bad?" tanyakanya.

"No! Amnesia is likely to be cured," said Doctor Fanny who was able to make Kesya feel his strength recovered. "But why are you so worried about that girl? You're not who!"

Yes, Doctor Fanny knew it, because Doctor Fanny was Kevin's ex-girlfriend in High School. But even so, there was no grudge or animosity at all between Doctor Fanny, Kevin and Kesya. They take care of this relationship. According to them, life will not be good if you just look back. Let the past pass, open a new leaf. After all, Doctor Fanny is married to a famous businessman who is Kevin's co-worker as well.

Kesya and Kevin were astonished. They didn't know, why were they so worried about the girl? Is it because they miss a child?

"Perhaps, it's the child that God has entrusted to you," continued Doctor Fanny who made the two more frown in wonder.

Doctor Fanny also knew that the two of them until now had not been blessed with a child. "You could have taken care of him and adopted him as your son."

Doctor Fanny's words may have a point, too. What's wrong with them trying to adopt that little girl. After all, it seemed that the girl had such a huge problem, that she dared to hurt herself.

"There's bad news too." The couple was surprised. What would be the bad news? "He had severe depression. His habit of self-torturing may not go away. Maybe his life has always been depressed" explained Dr. Fanny. Kevin and Kesya who heard it were immediately shocked. "If you want to adopt her, you have to make her happy. Don't let him do things that could harm himself" Doctor Fanny suggested to them.

What kind of life did that girl feel that made her hurt like this? Kesya and Kevin promise to adopt the fifteen-year-old girl and look after her with affection. He won't let the girl suffer anymore. In fact, if one day the girl remembers her past.

"What makes it like that?" ask Kesya who was full of curiosity.

"Of some of my patients who are her age, most of them suffer from depression due to parental factors. Maybe, her parents always hurt her," Dr. Fanny explained.

Gluey!

Kesya sipped her air. Trying to digest Doctor Fanny's words. Why are her parents so cruel? Why are they never grateful to have been blessed with a child? his mind swears at a goddamn parent like that. Parents who are never grateful.

"Yes, you can go in and see the situation. I'm willing to go first. There's still a lot of work waiting" said Doctor Fanny, then left the two of them.

Kevin and Kesya went back into the girl's room.

"Are you light, sweetie?" kesya asked when she saw the girl sitting on her bed.

"Mom, Mom."

Dwaar!!

It was like he had just been shot by a gun. He did not expect, the girl would call him 'Ma'.

Does she think I'm her mother? batin Kesya did not believe. Same. Kevin also felt the same way as his wife.

"So what did the doctor say to you?" ask Kesya.

"The doctor said, my condition has started to improve, Ma." Again the word 'Ma' managed to make Kesya like hovering in the air. "By the way, why can't I remember anything?" Doctor Fanny did not say anything other than the word that had been said to the girl.

For a few seconds, the atmosphere was silent. Only the sound of a wall clock ticking could be heard in this room. Kesya was still hesitant to tell the girl about her condition. Kevin who noticed, spoke up immediately. "You have amnesia, honey," he said. Kevin was afraid that something would happen to the girl.

"Oh!" answer's relaxed. It turns out that their guesses were wrong. The girl was able to accept her amnesia. Maybe he accepts that his destiny has to be this way. "Whatever my name is, Pa?" The question that was thrown had made the atmosphere back quiet. They were confused as to what to answer to this girl. "Why shut up, Ma, Pa?" The girl realized the quiet and awkward atmosphere. He still did not understand the real events.
