Chapter 74

Jemima and Gerry just looked at each other, Gerry's face red withholding anger as if he wanted to eat people, he actually wanted to eat Jemima because he was not honest about his status. The whimper Dira who asked to be invited to Timezone resuscitated Jemima and immediately turned his eyes away from Gerry.

"Mama ayook I want to play a car race" said Dira while pulling Jemima's hand.

"Yes, Nak for a moment" said Jemima finally dared to speak

"Let's Ger, we eat hungry first, Mami, uh Magda we go first, yes, this is mumpung Gerry can nemenin usually very difficult nemenin Maminya" said Sela bersamitan with Magda.

"Let's Om Bos" said Dira and took Gerry's hand to invite him to the basketball game machine.

Jemima followed them behind, his heart not yet calm because it has not explained everything to Gerry.

"Mom why shut up? Love the spirit of Dira dong" said Dira with a happy face because he could play meatballs.

"Yes Dira, Dira is really great" said Jemima with a forced smile. After spending all his salt, Dira finally stopped playing.

"Well done" he said sadly.

"You want to play again, here's Om stuffing" said Gerry and was about to walk to the cashier but was detained by Jemima.

"Don't Ger, that's enough. We want to go home first" said Jemima

Not a single word was spoken during the trip back to Jemima's house, all occupied with his own thoughts.

Gerry's car had reached the alley in front of Jemima's house when he saw Dira had fallen asleep.

"Thanks to Ger getting us, I don't know where to start. Tomorrow I go to your apartment to explain everything" said Jemima looked at Gerry but not a second Gerry wanted to see Jemima, his heart hurt because he felt in a lie.

Jemima got out of Gerry's car and opened the back door beside Dira.

"Dira woke up son we have arrived" he said trying to wake Dira who was asleep.

"Dira woke up yuk" he said again but the boy did not budge. Jemima was ready to take a position to hold Dira.

"I'm the one who brought it to your house" Gerry said from behind Jemima.

"Don't Ger, heavy" refused Jemima.

"It's Je" said Gerry annoyed with a slightly high tone. With ease Gerry lifted Dira into his carrier.

They walked together to Jemima's house until they reached the gate of Jemima.

"Here is Ger let me take it inside" Jemima was about to move Dira's sling to her.

"All I put in your room" Gerry went into Jemima's house and was greeted by Bude Wati.

"Him self was bobo, tired yes Je" said Bude Wati who had been waiting since the return of Jemima and Dira.

"Yes Bude, tiredness, this is Ger" Jemima directs Gerry to his room and slowly puts Dira on the bed. Then Bude Wati swiftly took off Dira's shoes and changed Dira's clothes.

Gerry looked at the contents of Jemima's room which contained photos of Jemima together with Dira then he walked into his living room, looks a lot of toys and items Dira and some photos of Dira from baby to adult.

He murmured in his heart, why he had never known about this, as stupid as he was.

"Ger you want a drink?"

"Don't let me go home, it's been a bad night visiting the same neighbors' gini nights" Gerry slightly insinuated Jemima.

Gerry put back on his shoes he took off .

"You just go in I walk myself to the car" Gerry said without looking at Jemima.

"Gerr I'm sorry" Jemima meant that he didn't want to part with Gerry, Jemima loved Gerry so much and hopefully his explanation will be accepted by Gerry tomorrow.

Regardless of Jemima's words, Gerry walked to his car. Arriving in the car he did not go home immediately, he took a cigarette on the dashboard of his car ignited the fire into his cigarette and sucked it, while leaning himself into the car he thought of the next step as to what he should take. In his heart he felt fooled by Jemima, did not expect Jemima's refusal if invited to relate not because she was a good girl who upholds the principles for healthy dating but because she already has children. The word 'Child' has not been terbesit in his mind, he does want to be serious with Jemima but it does not mean he wants to immediately have children, he still wants to have fun with Jemima. Not to mention later Mami Papinya's response about the status of Jemima who is single parent.

On the other side of her small room, Jemima could only sit languidly on the floor. Indeed he had planned to explain everything to Gerry but not in this way, he wanted to say it slowly. Hopefully tomorrow Gerry will accept all the reasons. He really loves Gerry and does not want to part with Gerry.
