The cry of Dira that had been tight over time became weak and finally the child slept by itself in Jemima's arms. Sometimes things like this that make Jemima's heart weak and not strong bear its own burden. If she had a husband it probably wouldn't be this difficult. Facing patiently and staying conscious when the child is just sick. The heart of a mother who will not be sad to hear the cry of her child in a state of pain.
"Daddy you old Dir, we go to the hospital alone" not the intention of Jemima to disturb Darwin's life but he really wants Dira to get the attention of his biological father.
Jemima ordered a taxi to the hospital that used to be Dira's referral when sick.
The phone in her bag rang and Jemima tried to pick it up with Dira still in her arms.
"Je what's wrong?" darwin said when Jemima picked up the phone.
"I just want to tell Dira is sick, Dira wants to see his Daddy if there is time to meet for a while Sir" said Jemima to Darwin.
"Daddy, Ma?" asked Dira in a soft voice.
"Yes Daddy"
"I videocall Dira for a moment" said Darwin and switched his call to a video call.
"Hi my boy, are you okay?" ask Darwin
"I'm sick Daddy" said Dira limp
"we're on our way to the hospital sir" Jemima said
"Aren't you taking the car?" ask Darwin
"Sir, the car was I was staying in the office there was service all the way home"
"Oh okay, Daddy will pick up Dira. Send me Je's hospital address. I'll pick you up"
"Yeahh. meet Daddy" Dira suddenly excited after hearing Daddy's voice.
"Get well soon my son" Darwin turned off his phone.
Dira's face seemed to be smiling sheets even though it was only a brief conversation between the father and the child.
After a 2-hour check due to a long queue Jemima and Dira prepare to go home. Jemima hoped Darwin would accompany him during the examination room but the man did not attend. He checked his phone and there was a message from Darwin waiting for him in the front parking lot of the Lobby.
"My uncle went to the lobby" Jemima wrote to Darwin.
When Jemima arrived at the lobby of the Toyota Camry black color stopped in front of him. Darwin got off the driver's side with his work clothes still complete.
"Behind Je, there's Cindy in front. Hi son" said Darwin opened the back door and rubbed Dira's head.
"Oh okay" said Jemima then he sat behind Darwin and greeted Cindy who was busy playing her phone.
"Hi Cin" said Jemima
"Hi Je" she replied briefly.
"How's Dira doing?" ask Darwin
"She has diarrhea and has been given medication as a doctor, there is no dehydration so there is no need to be treated" explained Jemima who sat while holding Dira who was asleep.
"Thank God." There was no talk between the three of them until they arrived at Jemima's house. Then Jemima got out of the car and followed by Darwin leaving Cindy who was still sitting in the car.
"Beb" Darwin told Cindy.
Jemima enters his room to put the sleeping Dira down.
"If there's anything, call me Je" said Darwin, wiping his son's head in a deep sleep.
Jemima could only sigh, it seemed that he did not have to rely on Darwin anymore considering the difficulty Darwin had to contact.
"Hemm" he replied lazily without looking at the crossbred male figure.
"Saturday we will go to your Mama's house, maybe you can go there too, so that Dira can play with you. He always asks his dad. Yes I understand you are busy, but at least take a little time for Dira" said Jemima who is actually lazy he revealed but all this is only for Dira. Jemima also did not want to always contact Darwin because the more day Cindy more unpleasant of him, but if he contacted Cindy whose message was never delivered. After Darwin's death, Jemima immediately joined his big bed with Dira, took his cell phone and scrolling social media installed on his phone. At times like this when the world has begun to fall silent because of the tiredness of living the day, the silence of the night makes his mind float everywhere. Insecure will sometimes haunt him in the silence of the night plus see photos of his friends who look happy with his partner. Not he regretted the presence of Dira but happy if there are men who accompany them and become leaders in their families.
"I'm sorry Mama ya Nak" said Jemima every night when going to sleep.
The morning came back and grateful Jemima because Dira's condition improved.
"Uaaaaa "Dira woke up in tears, Jemima who was preparing to leave for work was amazed by Dira's cry.
"Well why your child is crying" said Jemima while hugging her child.
"Daddy where's Ma?" ask Dira
"Daddy's at home, Daddy picked Dira up last night in the hospital don't remember ya" Jemima rubbed his son's hair.
"Hikk hikk, Daddy does not play with Dira" he said sadly.
"Later when Mama's holiday we go to Oma's house there is Daddy" Jemima tried to calm her son, sad when Dira felt homesick with her father.
"Patience son" Jemima kissed his son's cheek.
The day goes by and tomorrow is the weekend, it is imagined tomorrow he will enjoy his day off calmly playing with Dira.
This morning Dira was very excited to go to school because he knew tomorrow he would go to Omanya's house. Arka his best friend is ready to deliver Dira, usually early in the morning Arka will come to breakfast with them before leaving.
"Je, I'd like an info if starting next week I've stopped being an ojek, I apply to be a security in one of the companies" said man with a sharp nose with slightly brownish skin but does not eliminate the figure of good looks.
"Yes Arka is okay, later I find a motorcycle near here just to deliver Dira. Good luck in a new job" said Jemima when delivering his son to school in front of the door.
Arriving at Jemima's office took the time to open a personal email, looking for job info that matches him and already some applications that he sent as well.
"Udah wants the end of the month, no one has called the interview again, not long lasting the same old man" he said himself.
Jemima opened his lunch box containing fried rice that he had not had time to eat. When he was about to feed his seafood fried rice he was surprised by the door slings in his room.
"Heh matre woman, shameless, could-can ask for a car with my husband. Basic cheap women" said Kalina Rudi's wife
Jemima was surprised by Kalina's words accusing him.
"I'm Mom? Engga koq" Jemima still held back and remained respectful to his superior wife.
"Even though you're not really a girl, just benefit men to take her property. Not to mention later if pregnant, deliberately you let the money continue. Rich your child is the source of your income" said Kalina who made Jemima furious.
Jemima immediately kicked the table in front of him.
"Mother don't just recite yes, Mother just ask the husband Mother, who is the car for? And don't insult my son, he's more honorable than Mom. I resign Mom will tell Mr. Rudi." Jemima picked up his bag and tidied up the items he thought were important to take home and left the office.
