ILLUSIANA (CONTRACT MARRIAGE)

CHAPTER 53

Cantika hums a little at the dinner table while listening to music through her ipod. Several times his head nodded following the music he heard through his pair of earphones. Sometimes singing loudly after finishing chewing fried rice made by Mbak Ira. Occasionally choking because his mouth was busy chewing along with singing.

Ferdian who was also enjoying his breakfast was just a head bobble to see the behavior of his beloved sister.

In his eyes, his only sister was never an adult, there was always his behavior that was annoying and very childish. Maybe also because of the affection and attention that is too excessive from him for his only sister.

Since both their parents died, Ferdian was the one who played the role of father and mother for Cantika. But the way Ferdian treated his sister was overprotective, which is why Cantika grew up to be a spoiled girl and always demanded more attention from her only brother.

“Mbak Ira,“ call Ferdian on Mbak Ira who passed in front of the dining room.

“Ya Boss.”

“Please call Lusi, make breakfast here my temenin,” Ferdian command.

“Siap Boss.” Without waiting for the command twice as usual, Mbak Ira immediately scuttled the stairs to the second floor.

Geck...Geck...Tock.... The door to the room on the Mba Ira. Before long the innocent face of Susi appeared from behind the door.

“Non sweet, awaited Boss in dining room. Yuk kemon," take Mba Ira while grinning the horse.

“Later Ma'am, I was lazy to go down,” replied Lusi weakly.

“Yaaa, Non. Ntar Mbak Ira the Boss. If Boss is already angry, cringe in the swallow, Non. Kasian dong same Mbak.“

Lusi cheered a fleeting smile.

“Yuk, sprawl. Milk chocolate for Non udah Ma'am readyin also.”

“Iya Mba, thank you very much. I'll be down in a moment" said Lusi softly. Ma'am Ira nodded with a face of sumringah. Then back down to the dining room to tell the boss that the order has been executed.

Before long, Lusi with hair in the loop upwards and still wearing his sleeping pajamas approached the dining table.  From his seat Ferdian noticed Lusi's face fixedly.

Lusi took his seat right next to Cantika who faced Ferdian. Cantika who was still busy listening to his music only turned a glance at Lusi on his right.

“Come breakfast. You haven't eaten anything since yesterday afternoon," said Ferdian in a flat voice without letting go of his eyeballs staring at the girl's face.

Luci did not deny he was just nodding weakly. He took a little fried rice and an omelet and fed it slowly. He knew across the table Ferdian was watching him. But he was just being indifferent. His cell phone then scrooled an online news portal to avoid conversations with Ferdian.

Ferdian seemed to be getting upset to see Susi who had not spoken a word to him since yesterday's fight. Got his cell phone on the table. Then type something.

Tiings.... Lusi's phone sounded. Open the incoming watsapp mailbox.

“Still angry?” Incoming message from Ferdian. Ferdian looked at him for a moment in front of him. The man was still staring fixedly at him.

Tiii.... The turn of Ferdian's cell phone rang, as soon as he opened his mailbox.

“Still.” Answer from Lusi.

Tiii.... “I have to how so you don't get angry anymore.” Incoming message from Ferdian.

Tiii.... “Don't know,” reply from Lusi

Tiii.... “I'm sorry. But not about the guy yesterday. I'm sorry for making you angry and jealous.” Incoming message from Ferdian.

Tiii.... “Jealous? not tuh. If Mas want to reciprocate with ex please.” Answer from Lusi.

Tiii.... “Gak will. I already have a wife.”  Message from Ferdian.

Cantika who was sitting next to Lusi was a little disturbed by the sound of his cell phone. He looked at the couple with astonished looks. His eyeballs went back and forth briefly towards Ferdian, briefly towards Lusi. They both looked down holding their phones.

“Newly know me how to communicate husband and wife today, it turns out no need to talk anymore, just use watsapp,” his words looked at the two in wonder while standing up from his chair and passed leaving them.

Lucia and Ferdian stared at each other. Ferdian smiled sweetly at Lucia. But the girl only pulled the tip of her lips slightly.

“I'm sorry,” said Ferdian as he extended his hand before Luci.

A moment Lusi was silent, then reached out his hand also shaking Ferdian's hand on the table.

Ira's mother who happened to come bring warm chocolate milk for Lusi to look full of wonder at the couple. He shook his head in confusion, then rushed out of the dining table towards the kitchen.

“I'm going to the supermarket, Mas. Want to buy my personal needs.”

“I deliver, you can't go alone again.”

“Just for a minute, Mas. No need in inter.”

“I just drove. Please don't argue, Lusi.”

And Lusi finally nodded.

“OK. If so I take a shower first, Mas,” said to Lusi as he rose from his seat and passed from before Ferdian.

***In the supermarket

Ferdian opened his sunglasses and tucked the handle in the collar of his black T-shirt. His face looked fresh with shaving marks on his jaw and chin.

Wearing jeans and a casual black T-shirt makes Ferdian's white skin look fresher. Some women glanced in admiration at him but he ignored them. He casually stuck his fingers on Lusi's fingers, making the women look enviously at Lusi who stepped gracefully beside Ferdian even though the girl was only wearing jeans and a black T-shirt.

Lusi started looking around for the items he needed on each shelf that specifically displayed various personal equipment. Ferdian faithfully followed her from behind by pushing a trolley.

At first glance he put on a smile, he only realized that it had been a long time since he had done this. The last time was when her sister Cantika was going to Australia two years ago. He drove Cantika shopping and prepared various personal needs of his sister to be brought there. While his own personal needs are usually routinely purchased at an online shop renowned for branded goods imported directly from abroad.

Trioying...Triiin...Triii. The phone in Ferdian's pants pocket vibrated and rang. Seen on the mobile screen. Vica. Secretary called.

“Ngapain holidays gini him phone. Disturb," murmured Ferdian.

“Halo, Vika? What was?  Ha..? Whahuh? not heard, I came out first.”

“Lusi, I got the phone outside first. You wait here. Don't go anywhere, okay.” say Ferdian.

Luci nodded quickly. Then continue the search. He told Ferdian not to go far from his place.

Suddenly someone grabbed her shoulder very roughly. Lucia was surprised and spontaneously looked. Bu Merry with bulging eyes and a grinning smile stood tightly beside her.

“You run where you are, Bad boy.” Ms. Merry clasped Lusi's shoulders violently while sticking the end of a sharp object like a small scissors on the waist side of Lusi.

“Ahh...Mother, pain.” Lusi cried out in pain as Bu Merry's hand gripped her wrist very tightly

“You're making it hard for me, Luci. Because you ran away, now I owe Bramanto and have to repay it until paid off,“ hardik Bu Merry with anxiety on Lusi. His grip is getting stronger.

“You should go back to that old bangka. Come join.”

“I don't want to, Mom. Please...!” Shouted Lusi, but the people around him did not hear because so noisy music mixed with the fanfare of hypermarket visitors.

Ms. Merry dragged him quickly to the back parking lot. Her half-running steps pulled onto Lusi's arm very roughly.

“You'll live a good life with Bramanto, Bad boy. Although old, but the money is a lot. Basic Bod*h, You!” hardik Bu Merry again.

“Mother, I beg Mom, I don't want to. I could die at the hands of that man,” please Lusi. Her tears began to spread withholding the pain in her hands and fear of hearing Bramanto's name.

“Good if you die, you can quickly meet your parents," replied Ms. Merry painfully.

“Tolooong..!” Back Lusi shouted loudly.

Akaakkk....! A very hard slap from Bu Merry's hand landed on Lusi's cheek. The girl felt the heat on her cheek and the pain on her temple .

Ferdian returned to where Lusi was waiting for him. There was no Lusi there, only his trolley was still in its original position. Ferdian cackled around looking into every hallway, but there did not appear to be a figure of Lusi. His face began to panic. In almost the security of the woman standing at the exit.

“Excuse me, did you see that girl standing there? Tall, white, black clothes," asked Ferdian quickly.

“Sorry Sir, don't look. Or you can go to the information table to call the person you're looking for."

Ferdian grew increasingly panicked and spread his gaze across the vast and crowded place. Truly did not look Lusi from his sight.

He ran out to his car in the parking lot. He thought maybe Lusi was waiting for him in the car. It didn't look like Lucia was there either. He continued to run down the very large parking lot to walk down the parking lane connected to the rear parking lot.

“Tolooooong... !!!” Ferdian caught the voice of Lusi. his steps were getting firmer towards the origin of the sound.

Suddenly his steps stopped. He sees Merry pushing her body into a blue taxi. But Lusi with all his strength held his body from the pressure of Bu Merry on his back.

Ferdian ran straight for the taxi.

“Don't walk, Sir! It's kidnapping!” threatening Ferdian to a taxi driver who looked confused to see his prospective passengers screaming for help.

“HEH....! Leasin!” Ferdian's orders were firm on Bu Merry who was still clutching Lusi's arm very tight. Bu Merry looked terrified at Ferdian standing right in front of him.

“This is my son, you don't interfere. It's a family affair,” if Miss Merry is lying. His voice stammered in panic.

“Mas...Please...!” Pinta Lusi interrupted her terrified cry.

“This is My Wife. Lepassin! Mom wants me to kick it?!“ threaten Ferdian with his fist.

“Hah? Her husband Lusi?” said Ms. Merry who looked more confused and frightened.

“I know you're Susi's stepmother, right? I already know what you did. I will report you to the police for selling my wife to someone.“

Merry was getting panicked at the threat. Instantly, he removed his grip from Lusi's arm and gave a sharp object scratch to the girl's wrist and then spontaneously ran as fast as he could towards the highway fearing Ferdian chasing her.

“Mas...” Luci fell limp. It was fortunate that Ferdian immediately caught his body before touching the ground. Her tears spread on her pale cheeks.

“Lust... Let's go to the hospital.” Ferdian was very panicked to see the face of Lusi who was flushed from the slap of Bu Merry and his scratched arm bleed. Quickly he carried Lusi's weak body towards his car.

Ferdian wipes Susi's tears and puts a seatbelt on her. Then immediately took his car out of the parking lot of the hypermarket to the nearest hospital.
