"Lisa why, Zal?" mom asked Ela when she saw Rizal making tea for Lisa in the kitchen.
"Not feeling well, Ma. That's until I vomited."
Now, Ms. Ela's view turns to a plastic bag containing mangoes. "Tumben you bought mangoes."
"That's what Lisa wants."
Miss Ela's expression changed instantly. A smile spread across his face. "Don't Lisa get pregnant, Zal."
"Is she?" Rizal was not aware of the characteristics of pregnant people, which he knew only how to make it.
"Yes. Lisa must have been cravings. Check out the gih. Wait, this is Mama making bread sandwiches you love Lisa. Tell him to eat first yeah, pity if his stomach is empty."
A little while later Rizal came into the room and already brought a cup of warm tea and a plate of sandwich bread. She saw Lisa sleeping while hugging her roll.
"Darling, have some tea first let it go." Rizal put it on the nightstand.
Lisa sat and leaned on the headboard. Then take the tea and drink it.
Rizal dragged the chair closer to the bed and sat staring at Lisa. "You eat first."
Lisa nodded and started eating the sandwich. After three bites, he stopped eating. "Sister, where's the mango?"
"Oo, still want mangoes. He said it wasn't." Intentions tease Lisa but this time Lisa takes it seriously.
Lisa put the sandwich bread back on the plate. His facial expression turned irritated. Then he threw himself down and turned his back on Rizal.
"Loh, angry? I was just kidding. I'll take it."
Lisa just shook her head. As sensitive as Lisa's feelings.
"Darling, sorry..."
Rizal now turned to bed. She hugged Lisa from behind, but still left some distance and gently rubbed her stomach. "Don't you really get pregnant."
Lisa seemed to have just woken up. "Pregnant? Yeah, I just remembered it's three weeks late."
"I'll take you to check.. Just use the car, it just so happens that Papa will be back home."
Lisa nodded. His mind floated high thinking of something. "Can I be a mother?"
"A mother can be a mother. We can learn together to be parents. Are you not happy that you are actually pregnant?"
"It's so sweet."
"It has to be fun. Our hard work every night."
Lisa smiled slightly hearing Rizal.
Rizal brought himself closer. Removing the distance between them. He stacks his head with one hand and kisses Lisa.
The nausea appeared again. Even more so than before. "Sister..." Lisa pushes Rizal to make him sit on the side of the bed.
"Nausea again?"
Lisa sat down and lowered her legs. But he can't hold back anymore. He took out his entrails that had just entered it on the floor.
"Dear, sorry. Kirain you're not nauseous. Yeah, I wasn't close to you before." Rizal got me a tissue. After Lisa rubbed her lips then Rizal took the remaining tea half a cup. "You drink first, then you fall asleep. Let me clean up first."
After drinking, Lisa breaks down. His head feels dizzy. His body felt helpless.
Rizal immediately picked up the equipment to clean the floor.
Ms. Ela now went into the room and sat down near Lisa. "Lisa, still nauseous, son?"
Lisa just nodded her head.
Rizal just fell silent while mopping the floor. Maybe he was cursing himself. Why would he approach Lisa and kiss her.
"Here, Mama peels the mango so the nausea goes away." Miss Ela helps Lisa to sit down. "Until the pale gini."
Lisa started eating the mango she wanted.
Bu Ela's gaze now turned to Rizal whose face was sour, more sour than the mango taste. "What's wrong with you, Zal?"
"What if a pregnant person near her husband can be nauseous?"
Miss Ela laughed. "Bring pregnant people is different. If Lisa is nauseous near you keep your distance. Don't get too close. Hold first. It's like throwing up again."
"Yes, Ma, yes." Rizal came out of the room after the floor was cleared.
"Hmm, don't be Ma. Let Rizal's sister just."
"Udah, no papa. Rizal let's get ready to take you in. Papa just got home." Miss Ela came out of the room that passed Rizal. "Zal, you take a shower and get Lisa checked out. That, Papa's home."
"Yes, Ma."
...***...
"Rizal, Miss Ela's son?" ask the gynecologist who is now sitting in front of Rizal and Lisa. Dr. Santi was a regular obstetrician of Bu Ela's since a long time ago. He is not very young but very painstaking in dealing with his patients.
"Yes, Doc."
"How is your mother? Long time no here. Know-how even his son who brought his wife here. I think you were a kid."
Rizal smiles. "Mama's news, good Doc."
"What age is Lisa's mom?" ask Dr. Santi while writing it in a health book.
"20, Doc."
"If Mr Rizal?"
"23 years."
Doctor Santi smiled. "Still young. See you guys, a very compatible couple. Is this the first pregnancy? Miss Lisa's been expecting?"
"Not yet."
"How late is it?"
"Three weeks, Doc."
"Three weeks.. Yes already, directly in the USG only yes to know the fetal pouch has been formed or not."
Rizal and Lisa follow Doctor Santi to the USG room. Lisa threw herself. Santi's doctor rubbed the gel in Lisa's stomach, and directed the ultrasound device. Now it is visible on the USG monitor screen.
"Here, there's a pocket already. Pregnancy is 8 weeks."
Rizal and Lisa smiled at each other and then they looked back at the USG monitor screen that had revealed their hard work every night.
"In this first trimester keep the condition yes. Should be more careful because the content is still vulnerable. Don't be too tired and have too many thoughts. Eat nutritious foods to meet the required nutrients. I print out the results of the USG."
After finishing, Lisa and Rizal again sat down in front of Doctor Santi who was writing in the examination book.
"There's complaints?"
"Same nausea, Doc."
"O, it's common in the first trimester because of hormonal changes. I give vitamins the same dietary supplements, taken every day huh. Then even though it is difficult to eat, try to keep eating yes. Whatever you want, don't eat it."
"Hmm, Doc. Let's not nausea if it's near me is there a cure?"
Doctor Santi smiled at Rizal's funny question. "Oo, if it is indeed congenital from pregnancy. There are hormonal changes as well. There is no cure, just keep your distance. After entering the second trimester, it will go away on its own."
They just nodded their heads.
"As long as there are no complaints, check for another month huh."
When finalized. They came out of Doctor Santi's room. Rizal walks slowly with Lisa to the parking lot and still keeps a safe distance.
"I really want to hug you right now. My feelings are mixed into one." Rizal said after sitting in front of the steering wheel while looking at Lisa who was sitting in the back.
"Yes. This happiness is difficult for me to describe" Lisa said while looking at the results of print out USG.
"I am moved. My work is in your stomach." Rizal smiled even though he now saw a clear circle at the end of his eyes.
"Sister Rizal don't cry."
"I don't think you're touched either."
Lisa laughed while wiping her tears. Yes, their tears of happiness.
"Sister, let's go home first. I want to tell you this happy news with Mama and Dad."
"Okay, baby." Rizal started driving to Edi's house.
