Chapter 6 Diana and Ren (2)

A few years passed. Diana is now 17 years old. The little girl is now growing into a beautiful girl.

Diana and her mother, Emerta, continued to wander into the myriad kingdoms. But of course they have not traveled around the world despite traveling for many years. Because circling the world is impossible. Especially if you find a sea completely unknown end.

But this place has a lot of lodging because it has to welcome new foreign guests every day. Therefore, the kingdom of Tiest was often referred to as a trading city in other kingdoms.

Although humans and elves can mix in this place, it does not mean that security in this place is very high. The king is not concerned with the safety of tourists.

So many criminals are also wandering in this place. Especially the elf catchers. They targeted the elves who came to this place, then sold them to the slave merchants. Their targets were the elven children. For adult elves was an exception as their strength was not capable enough to match that of an adult elf. But there weren't many elven children in this place either. So the elf catchers had enough trouble because of that.

Diana and her mother stayed for a while in this kingdom because they wanted to attend a meeting in the elf forest.

Yes, all the dark wizard communities get a call from the king of the dark elves. Everyone did not know why the meeting was held. But they still chose to come. They thought there would be an impromptu advantage because the one who called them was not a random person. He was the king of the dark elves who was exalted as the strongest person.

The meeting will be held tomorrow. Diana and her mother had already been living in this city for a week for the initial preparations.

Finally tomorrow comes. Diana and her mother are at a gathering point along with other dark witches.

The gathering point was in the southern elven forest. In an instant the gathering point was already filled with dozens of human dark magicians.

After everyone has gathered. At the front of them appeared an entrance that led to the part of the forest where the dark elves lived. There was a silver light-shaped road guide directing them.

The crowd of witches began to walk in the direction that the light pointed at. It turned out that the dark elves were hiding their residences in the forest with magic formations. If the magic formation is not opened. No one knows the forest they live in. So the new visitors would just go around in circles in that forest without finding anything.

Diana and her mother entered the elven forest. They were quite amazed by the sight before them.

Originally, Diana had thought the dark elf forest would be filled with a dark and gloomy aura. But that's not true.

Their home is like a normal forest. It was full of green trees and blue skies. They saw a lot of tree houses built on trees. The tree house was the residence of the elves.

When the group had entered the area where the elves lived. They could see some elven warriors waiting in front of the gate.

"Welcome home." They greet. "Follow us to a glorious place"

Everyone nodded. There are about fifty human witches. They entered the elven village in a troupe and attracted the attention of all the dark elves.

The dark elves looked out their heads from the windows, peering at the entourage of foreign humans that had entered into their village.

They were directed to head to the palace. The palaces of the elves looked bigger than human palaces. It was just that the aura of the place was filled with darkness. And it looks like an ancient ruin rather than a luxurious palace.

Diana gawked as she entered the elven palace because this was the first time she had set foot in a place this big.

Finally they arrived at the hall. In the middle of the hall was a very high throne chair. This is a throne for the King.

The Elf King was waiting for them lazily on his throne. The king's appearance looked like a human in general. It's just that his entire skin is dark and his ears are long like elves in general.

He has a handsome face. She was even popular among female elves. But he always gave off a cold and powerful killing aura, so the women were reluctant to approach him and just look at him from afar. Unfortunately, he was not aware of it. He considers himself very sad.

"Welcome" The dark elf king said in a bored tone. He looked at the crowd below him. They look like ants to him.

The elf king was chopping his chin with his hand while staring lazily. "I wouldn't have thought that this much would come. Though you don't know what topic I want to talk about yet" he said in a mocking tone.

"We came here just to show you our respect, king" one of the men tried his luck to give praise to the king.

"Oh?" the king raised his eyebrows. " If I declare I need a human experiment for my experiments. Are you willing to propose yourself?"

The man froze in place. His feet were trembling in fear.

The elf king laughed. "Hahaha, I'm just kidding" he replied.

"Thank you king" the man breathed a sigh of relief and withdrew himself back into the ranks of the entourage.

"But my words are a little true.I do need humans for my research" he said, making the atmosphere in the hall freeze. He smiled "I'm not done talking. My experiments will not kill you. I just want you to donate your dark mana to me. I only need five witches with the most mana. You will not do this work in vain. I'll give you guys a reward."

The elf king opened up his dimension space. He took out five high-level mana-enhancing potions. Five high-level dark magic books and also five magic weapons.

"This is a gift to the chosen one" He smiled.

The eyes of all the humans in the room instantly sparkled. They looked at all the treasures with eyes filled with greed.

"I only picked five" the elf king raised his five fingers. "So I've prepared a test for it" He looked at the elven warriors waiting at the edge of the hall. "Bring that thing over here"

The soldiers nodded obediently. They took out a table with a blue crystal ball on it. Then slide the table in the middle of the hall.

"I will test your mana capacity with this crystal ball. If you are worthy, then this crystal ball will shine. The stronger the beam, the more mana capacity you are" the elf king explained.

The human group nodded in understanding. Eventually they formed a line to test where they were on the crystal ball.

Diana was in line. He was behind his mother.

After a while, it was their turn. Diana's mother managed to make the crystal ball very bright. And was elected as one of the candidates. But when Diana tested her strength, no dark mana came out of her body. And the crystal ball didn't give any reaction.

He failed automatically. Diana could only lower her head in disappointment. The dark mana within his body was like a brat. It only appears that he is in danger. But it won't show up if he wants it. To be honest, Diana was quite disappointed because of that. But he could only sigh in resignation and retreat to the back of the line.

Diana did not want to be separated from her mother, so she did not want to leave the palace. He kept following behind his mother. Emerta also did not have the heart to let her daughter be in the outside world alone. So he let it go.

But the elf king saw a strange thing. He only wanted five people. But why are there six humans in his palace?

"Who are the uninvited guests?" tanyanya cold. Everyone in the place froze.

"I'm sorry sir. I want to take my son." Emerta said boldly.

The eyes of the Elf King narrowed. "Who do you dare to rule me?" his yell. His voice echoed and made the entire person in the hall tremble in fear. Even Emerta's face paled.

Only one person was unaffected by his aura. That person was Diana. The girl looked at the elf king with pouting cheeks and an annoyed look.

Diana was annoyed with the elf king. Diana thought that person was too fierce and creepy. Such a person would not be able to get along with others. And he must have been avoided by many. And for sure he's fit to live alone. Why did he become king?

"Grandfather, you're too fierce. Don't scold my mother like that. He does not rule you at all. If you were always so fierce, everyone would hate you" Diana said boldly by placing both hands on her waist. Diana called the elf king her grandfather because she heard rumors that the man was thousands of years old.

Everyone was shocked when they heard Diana's words. They did not expect that the child would dare to say such a thing! The boy even scolded their king blatantly. In their minds the boy was dead.

Even Emerta shuddered in horror. He immediately pulled his son into his arms.

"What are you doing!"

"Humph!" Diana just gripped an annoyance.

Veins of annoyance appeared on the elf king's head. He stood up from his throne with an extremely cold aura. Those who could not resist the aura fell to their knees. Even Emerta tried to hold on not to kneel until his legs shook.

Only Diana did not feel any effect. Everyone frowned in confusion as they knew the girl could stare at the elf king boldly.

"Grandfather, stop intimidating others with your ugly face!" Diana said with pouting cheeks.

Everyone back to the roof. They could not even control their fear and their bodies were like they were about to melt. They were afraid that the elf king would vent his anger on the little girl to them as well. But they did nothing.

The elf king glared. He waved his hand, TAK! He hit Diana's forehead.

"Grandfather, you're really mean!" diana protested while bowing. He covered his painful forehead with his arm.

"You were locked up as punishment. Don't you dare roam my palace" He looked at the soldiers to hold Diana. "Take him to the guest room and lock him up" he said. Then the elf king sauntered out of the hall.

"Sir, please forgive my daughter. She was young, therefore she could not control her emotions" Diana stopped the elf king.

"I won't hurt her. I'll release her when your task is done" This is the absolute decision of the elf king before he leaves the palace hall.

Diana continued to rebel as the elf warrior took her. But her mother did nothing and also simply gave her a "don't make trouble again" look before leaving with the other witches. So he could only resign when he was taken into a locked room.

Diana was really not happy being locked up. Although there were some servants who delivered food for him. Even though the facilities in the room are complete. He can clean himself and also get a change of clothes. But he doesn't like to be restrained.

Until he finally planned something in his mind. He looked at the large window in his room and planned to escape through it.

But Diana was a little confused because she did not know flying magic at all. So he had to try to climb up the wall in order to get out. But the wall was very high. He is still on the second floor of the palace.

Diana did not give up. At midnight he was running his act. He climbed out of the window. Diana was a little sorry. If only he had learned Magic well. He's not gonna be like this. He should have learned flying magic. But being always lazy, he procrastinated on that. Diana knew after all that she was not at all talented at using magic.

He kept climbing down. But he found something unexpected as he passed through one of the windows.

From that window he could see a familiar figure, turning into the figure of that fierce elf king.

"Sister Ren!" Diana nodded in surprise.

Ren panicked as he heard someone's voice. Then she turned her head and saw Diana was looking at her from the window. The girl crawled and stuck to the window like a spider.

"Sister Ren!"

Ren's face twitched. He was both upset and confused. Though he had already used detection magic if there was someone around him. But he could not detect the arrival of the little girl at all. He doesn't know the reason.

The girl was not affected by her aura. And also the whereabouts of the girl was hard to detect by others. If he trained properly, he could become a famous assassin. Although there was no way Diana would agree with that thought.

Ren used his magic to blow the little girl in. Diana was slightly startled as she knew her body was floating and slowly stopped floating while she was in front of Ren.

Without a second thought, Diana hugged Ren. "Sister Ren~" he exclaimed happily. "We meet again."

Ren frowned confusedly. "Who are you?"

Diana jerks. But only for a moment before his eyes glared at Ren. "You helped me when I was a kid. You don't remember? I'm Diana!"

Ren really doesn't remember. He's not lying. He helped a lot of children over the years and he could not remember the names of the children he helped.

Diana's face turned sad. "Sister Ren, you forgot me...Am I not that important." he said softly.

Ren felt guilty. To be honest, Ren is very weak when he sees a sad child or cries "I will never forget you again. I'm sorry"

"OK~" said Diana happily. He would never know that in the future, Ren would forget about it again.

The chapter is too long because the author is lazy to separate it into two chapters 😅🤣
