Chapter 4. Kingdom of Kano: Potion Shop

Eva and Lilac approach Reina and Sayn. The four of them chatted for a while until finally, Eva and Lilac decided to go to the store. Then Sayn invites Reina to talk about what she did to the boy. After Sayn got her answer she immediately followed to get inside the store.

I went into this potion shop. And feel surprised. There were countless potions and they were all neatly arranged on the shelf. Then on the wall of the shelf it was given a type of potion inscription. It's really neat and very nice to see.

"Aah! There's a new one Yeah~" Without a second thought Lilac headed for the body-strengthening potion rack. This potion was indeed useful to a swordsman like him.

I'm not interested in the potion at all. Not that witches couldn't use them, but witches were more likely to use potions that could strengthen their mana than their bodies.

I was still looking around confused. I have not decided to buy what potion. Um, the potion, huh? Somehow this reminds me of the fucking love potion I got from that granny. "Wjt!" I almost laughed. "What is this banquet? Mimicking animal sounds?" I'm sure no one will buy it because its functionality is so useless. But I was interested and took it. I bought it because of its unique function. Who knows if this potion will be useful later. Being able to imitate the sounds of animals is very fun. Moreover, this potion there was only one bottle.

"Geev!" Lilac suddenly stood behind me.

"What are you choosing?" tanyanya. As she watched Eva pick up a potion of plastic bottles, she frowned. "Why the hell do you always pick shabby stuff?" ask december. "That ugly knife. Duars! I felt struck by lightning upon hearing Lilac's statement. Grandma-granny? I'm not a granny yet, okay? Even if plus my real age, I'm still about 20 years old.it's still far from grandmothers. "No, I also bought another potion" with a quick movement I moved my position onto the potion rack to increase mana. "Look" I took one of the potion bottles. "It's pretty good. "Yes, yes" I replied, nodding. "of course. I'll buy some potions to improve my mana. You can pick your own potion, don't worry about me"

Before turning towards her choice shelf, Lilac turned her head towards Eva. As he watched Eva move onto the potion rack 'adding movement speed', he nodded in satisfaction. "At least he won't buy any more junkyards" he muttered before returning to focus looking at the potion bottle in front of him.

For a few minutes the two little girls focused on their work. Until finally the entrance of the store creaked, and the attention of the two of them was instantly sidetracked.

I saw Sayn enter the store while walking leisurely.

"Ah~ handsome man, you've finally come" exclaimed Lilac enthusiastically as she approached Sayn. "You want company? I'll help you pick a potion"

"Uhhh.." Sayn's panicked. His face was sweaty and his mouth twitched. He was really dumbass facing the crazy girl in front of him. Actually he could have kicked her out rudely. But she's bad, because Lilac is Eva's friend.

"oh" Lilac looked down disappointed. But it was just for a moment. "Alright, I'll take a look at the potions first" he said cheerfully as he walked back to his destination shelf.

I looked at Sayn and heard her words. Sayn's not going to this store to buy potions. So what's he here for? I'm very curious.

When I saw Sayn, it just so happened that the man was looking at me. We throw one another a look.

"What are you going to do in this store?" I threw a telepathy at him.

"It's none of your business" he replied. Which makes me angry. I could only give a sullen look at her while folding both of my hands.

'Uh...What the hell is this guy hiding? The more he behaves like this the more curious I get.' My mind is frustrated.

Sayn turned the other way and ignored Eva. He looked towards the shopkeeper who was at the cashier table. The counter was close to the entrance.

"Excuse me, does this shopkeeper exist?" ask Sayn directly.

The shopkeeper looked at Sayn vigilantly while frowning. He was confused as to why there was a stranger who had suddenly come to ask for his master. "Sir.sidang is not in the store." he replied.

"Then, I want to ask you something" Sayn said as she stared in full search. "I saw a little boy come into the store with a girl. But the boy never came out. I asked the reason to the girl he was with. He said the owner of this store wanted to adopt a child. Really true?"

The deg! The shopkeeper gasped. He looked at Sayn nervously and grew more alert. "that's it. really..."

"So can I meet the shop owner? I wanted to ask him something about the boy"

The shopkeeper immediately gave a sharp look at Sayn. "What is your business with my master? My master doesn't know people like you. Don't look for trouble. You better go." he said firmly.

But Sayn grew suspicious because of the attitude of the shopkeeper like that. He reached into his robe and took out a badge. The shopkeeper immediately gawked in shock upon seeing the badge.

"I'm sorry for my disrespectful words" the shopkeeper said as he lowered his head. How is he not afraid? It was a royal badge! Badges owned by royal members. He did not think that Sayn was a member of the kingdom. Because it was impossible for the royal members to roam the streets of the capital. He just thought Sayn was a servant sent by a royal member. And that further strengthened his conjecture when Sayn introduced herself.

"I am the messenger of the prince. He wanted to meet the owner of this shop. You know why? The boy who was brought in just a moment ago was an acquaintance of the prince. He wanted to recruit the boy as his servant because the boy was helping him" Sayn explained with his fake story. He made up the story because he didn't want the shopkeeper to be too suspicious.

Hearing that Sayn was looking for a shopkeeper just because of the boy, the shopkeeper let out a sigh of relief. He was greatly relieved when he knew Sayn would not investigate anything else. "Um. The shop owner is not here. I'll take you to see him"

The shopkeeper immediately called someone and left the store to him. He pointed at the two girls who were busy choosing potions. Then tell that person to keep an eye on them while paying later.

After that he gestured to Sayn, and the two people walked into the other room covered in black curtains.

I saw and heard the whole thing. I also knew that Sayn had lied about her identity. Looking for a kid? This doesn't make any sense. I can conclude that the man is on a mission. But what mission? This makes me very curious, damn it!

The person who replaced the shopkeeper was unaware that Eva had disappeared. Wh why? Because he did not see the consumers who were choosing potions at all. And Lilac too. He did not notice that Eva had already disappeared. He was busy choosing the potion he wanted to buy while whistling merrily.
