Episode 23

Jeffry takes Valery to lunch at a fancy restaurant near his company. Restaurant with romantic atmosphere.

"When did you book this place, this restaurant only received reservations a week before, right?" ask Valery.

Jeffry smiled, he showed the gold card of a restaurant vip customer. "Whenever I want to come here, always have a table for me to eat." replied Jeffry.

"Are you always doing it because you're a businessman?" ask Valery again.

Jeffry nodded. "It's not because I'm arrogant, but I just make things easier, baby, I'll often meet with clients outside too. I don't want to bring my clients to meet in crowded places and inadequate facilities. Client satisfaction is my pride as a Jeffry Sean who hides his identity. A place of privacy is my main goal" Jeffry said.

"I'll try to understand you slowly Jeff. I'm very free everywhere, probably very different from you" Valery said.

"I'll make it public to know who I really am when we get engaged. I'll show you who I am when I'm next to you, Vale. Trust me, I will never hide my identity." replied Jeffry.

Valery smile. "Do you think I need any of that? I just want you to always be next to me, Jeff, that's enough. If your identity is to be hidden forever, I don't mind it."

Jeffry held Valery's hand. "It's the first time I've eaten with my girlfriend here. Without food I'm full now."

Valery chuckles. "Basar gombal guy. Where's maid? I'm hungry." asked Valery.

"We don't have to call the waiter, they already know what I'm going to eat with you" Jeffry replied.

Valery frowned. "Do you know what I want to eat?" tanyakanya.

Jeffry shakes. "But they will provide the main menu here. So you must like it." she replied.

"Let's see later, if the menu of this restaurant matches my taste." said Valery.

A few minutes later, the waiter prepared a meal that filled their table. Valery widened his eyes, surprised to see the food.

"Darling, this is too much." whispered Valery. "You're gonna turn me into an ugly pig."

Jeffry laughing. "That won't change how I feel, baby, I like you even if you get fat" she replied.

Valery sighed, they enjoyed their lunch without a sound. After their meal was over, the two enjoyed a dessert. "Oh my God I'm so full of Jeff" Valery said.

"Watch the dessert" said Jeffry.

"It's so sweet, I'm really going to be fat Jeff" Valery replied.

"Spend baby, you're too skinny" Jeffry said.

Valery finally gave up. Little by little Valery put the dessert in.

"Jeff, have you called your mother?" ask Valery.

Jeffry stopped chewing, he looked at Valery and shook his head.

"Recover, baby, I'm sure your mother is looking forward to an answer as soon as possible" Valery said.

Jeffry was very lazy to talk about the woman. "Paul hasn't woken up yet, Vale, I'm very worried about the situation" Jeffry said.

Valery knows very well why Jeffry is reluctant to discuss his mother. "See your sister's condition in a week, if you're still unconscious. You'd better send it to a Singapore hospital or anywhere else with better treatment Jeff."

Jeffry nodded. "That's what I think, baby, but who's gonna take care of her. I'm very busy with my work." replied Jeffry.

"You're right, it'll be hard to manage time. That's why I'm talking about your mother. It's possible your mother could help." Valery said.

Valery stand. "Always show a selfish attitude. You're so unreasonable Jeff. I'm not forcing you, but at least solve your problems with your mother. I'm sure there's a misunderstanding between the two of you." Valery snapped. "You don't have to drive me, I can take a taxi" he said.

Valery stepped out of the restaurant. Jeffry goes after him, he pulls Valery's hand. "Darling, sorry." she said. "Please forgive me, you should know how deep the wound is in my heart, I'm very sensitive when it comes to that woman."

Valery looked at him sharply. "You're so stubborn, I'm just trying to help you. I don't want you to have a protracted problem, Jeff. But you're always mad when I talk." Valery said.

Jeffry pulled Valery's body into his arms. "I'm sorry, don't be angry anymore. I was wrong, you came home with me. I want us to go to the hospital before I take you to the company again."

Valery sighed and nodded. "Don't piss me off Jeff."

"I promise, baby, I won't repeat it. I'll listen to all your words. I'm sorry ya." Jeffry begged.

Valery smile. "Come.I have a meeting at 2 o'clock, I still have an hour to accompany you" he said.

Jeffry was relieved, he was so afraid to see Valery's anger earlier. Jeffry kissed her forehead, then took her to the parking lot. The two headed to the hospital where Paul Sean was being treated.

Susi cries in front of Paul Sean. He's looking for the best hospital to find Paul. And sure enough, he found it straight away.

"Paul, you're all grown up, son. Do you still remember your mother's face. It's the mother who left you when you were so little, son, why are you like this." she said in tears.

Susi kept holding Paul's hand. "Son, how do you explain everything to me. Your brother Jeffry is still so mad at you, he never even returned an email from you. Help Paul's mother, I left you because I had to. How mom told me the reason. Are you going to believe the reason mom left you all this time? Paul your face is very similar to your late father's. I miss your father so much." said Susi still sobbing.

The door of the room opened, Jeffry widened his eyes. His body trembled violently and almost fell down if Valery did not hold back his huge body. Her mouth was wide open from not believing her eyesight, the middle-aged woman in front of her now was the woman who left her decades ago.

"Aaapppaaa what are you doing?" asked Jeffry stammered.

Susi gasped as she stood up, she looked at her eldest son who was very angry with her. "You're my son Jeffry Sean" Susi said she wanted to get close to Jeffry.

Jeffry backwards. "Don't try to get close to me, how dare you come here. Come out...!!!" snapped Jeffry.

"Jeffs... Calm down." said Valery.

"No, I don't want to see his face. Get him out of Vale." cried Jeffry.

"Mom, I'm sorry.can you come out first." said Valery.

With tears already flowing profusely, Susi finally nodded. He was eager to embrace his eldest son.

"Jeff, calm down.You sit down first. I'll go out to see him." Valery said.

Jeffry threw his body on the sofa in the room. He held his head, his frustration and shock mixed in his head. He wanted to strangle the woman, but his heart said something else. She has a strong desire to embrace her mother who is getting older.

Valery leaves Jeffry and approaches Susi. Valery saw the old woman constantly wiping her tears. Valery was very hesitant to approach her. But he was also very sorry to see the woman, his eyes were looking very longing for his son. Valery felt that something was amiss behind the woman's departure when she left her son first.
