Episode 14

Jeffry returned to the hospital after he lined up at a fast food restaurant. He brought his dinner into the room because he wanted to accompany Valery to dinner.

"It's time for Vale's dinner" Jeffry said as he entered his ward.

"Where have you been? You've been out a long time." Valery asked.

"I bought a change of clothes and lined up to get this food" Jeffry replied lying about his shirt.

"What did you buy? Can I eat that?" ask Valery.

Jeffry shakes. "This is my dinner. You keep eating porridge tonight."

"Not good." replied Valery flatly.

Jeffry just smiled, he picked up the tray and started feeding Valery. "Eat a lot. After that sleep. I'll have dinner after you sleep. It's not good, but here's what you have to eat for a while" Jeffry replied.

"You go home, this isn't Jeck's job. I'm just troubling you." Valery said.

"At least you said it. I don't have a job, so I'll keep you company until you're well. So don't you think about it." said Jeffry.

Valery nodded, he was very lucky to be accompanied by Jeffry, a handsome man whose only personal driver was as considerate as a lover. Valery wondered if Jeffry had a girlfriend.

"Jecko I can ask" said Valery.

"Of course, what do you want to ask" Jeffry replied.

"It's a personal matter, do you already have a lover?" ask Valery.

Jeffry smiled at the question. "Why do you want to know?"

"Your son is already the head of 3 Jeck, you should have even had a wife" Valery replied.

Jeffry laughing. "Then what about you?"

"I? Of course I want to but not yet." replied Valery.

"Wind but not yet? Your answer is very funny Vale. I don't have a boyfriend yet, I'm looking for a suitable one. What did you mean by that?" ask Jeffry.

"Yes I want to, but nothing is suitable yet." replied Valery.

"What kind of man do you want? Not a personal driver, right?" sindir Jeffry's.

Valery narrowed his eyes. "I already have everything, so make what a rich lover."

Jeffry returned the tray of his food to the table. Then he approached Valery, it was time he emboldened himself. "Ehem..so...do I have a chance?" ask Jeffry.

Valery was surprised by the question. "What do you mean?"

"No, forget about Vale. I'm starting to mess around." replied Jeffry. He was still afraid that Valery would get angry and fire him. The chance he is close to Valery will be destroyed, even though he only worked for 3 days. "Now go to bed, you'll need plenty of rest if you want to get out of the hospital immediately."

Valery nodded and began to lay down his body on the bed. But his mind is still on the word Jeffry said earlier.

Did I hear wrong? But he said chance. Does Jecko like me? If true, will I accept my driver as my lover. From the looks of it, the man was indeed not a shame. But what if my employees find out if I'm dating my own driver. It's not that I don't want to, because honestly I'm starting to like it too. The man is very kind, considerate and most importantly he is very responsible. I've known him for a few days. I've been comfortable. Already, maybe I overdo it. thought Valery, then he finally fell asleep.

He finished his dinner, then he started to get busy with his cell phone. He opened several emails on his phone, because there was no way he could bring a laptop and break his identity to Valery now. There were emails from Ana about some of her diamond business, and also emails from Ramon about Samuel.

Jeffry read them one by one until his eyes were very tired. Then he was surprised to see an email from an unknown person, initials S. He opened it, his eyes wide open.

Dear my son Jeffry Sean...

Jeffry got out of his email, he immediately turned off his phone. S is Susi, meaning that it was from her mother who had left her decades, how the woman could know her email address. Damn it. Jeffry thought.

He threw himself on the sofa, but he could not close his eyes. He just kept turning his body. The email was very disturbing. He didn't want to read it, but he was very curious. The rustling sound of her body on the sofa made Valery wake up.

"Did you have trouble sleeping Jeck?" ask Valery.

"My God, I'm sorry Vale woke you up. Get some more sleep, I'll get some fresh air" he said as he left the room.

Valery was surprised by Jeffry's attitude which arrived cold. But his eyes got tired and fell asleep again.

Jeffry was in the hospital park, he enjoyed the beautiful night sky, his mind was still raging, between opening that email or not. With a heavy sigh, Jeffry finally opened his phone. His hands began to tremble. He opened the email, his eyes closed for a moment and reassured his heart.

Dear my son Jeffry Sean,

How is my son, with great difficulty I can finally find your email address. My son, I know you're still very angry at your mother. But I'd love to see you once. I miss you and Paul. It's about time I explained everything, why I left you both.

Jeffry's tears didn't flow, it was easy for his mother to say all that.

The money you sent us over the years, we never touched a thing. And you missed us after decades, and then where were you when we needed you first. We don't need your money. We just need your figure to protect us. After you left us that day, we didn't think of you as a mother. So don't expect you to receive a reply from me Jefrry murmured.

Jeffry closed his eyes for a moment, he began to calm his mind and wipe away his tears. Then back to Valery's room.

Jeffry looked at the beautiful woman who was deep asleep.

Vale if you can help my fucked-up life, I have everything. But I don't have any affection, can you give that to me Jeffry murmured in his heart.

He touched Valery's cheek, he kissed her forehead. For the second time Jeffry kissed her, but she never knew.

Jeffry returned to his couch and began to stretch himself. He tried to forget what happened today. His eyes began to get tired and he was finally able to fall asleep as well.
