Episode 49: Call on Umi



On a clear morning, Michelle had woken up the earliest along with ART. They are busy with their own work. After the dawn prayer, Michelle sat in the back garden of the house reading any verse so that her heart would calm down.


"Are you awake, son?" ask Umi.

Ratna is Michelle's sister. Abah and Umi's last child. He was in college, and soon Ratna would graduate. He wants to be a psychologist. That's why he majored in Psychologists at his University.



At the market, they got off the car. The three of them walked around the market. Buy the ingredients needed to make the food they will cook today. They bought two jumbo-sized lobsters, and squid.



"Umi, buy avocados as well" said Ratna pointed to avocados that are still fresh.


"Well, we'll buy two kilos, okay?" Umi. Ratna bought avocado at that place. Michelle's bead looked towards the tavern that sold various kinds of Bogor pickles. Michelle swallowed her own saliva.


"Umi, Ratna, let's go there!" take Michelle to Umi and Ratna.

Michelle picked an empty bench. They sat close to the fan. The heat turned into adem.

Umi is looking for her husband's order market hawker. She loves Bandros and Combro cakes. Traditional snacks are never empty of customers.



Bandros and combros. There are misro, katimus, gemblong, kalontong and many more traditional snacks that are still sold in traditional markets. Not only traditional snacks, foods such as Bogor laksa, fried toge, ice nutmeg, glossor noodles and others are also sold in the market.
