Chapter 44 Unexpected events

The next day Jessica came to bring a lawyer. The arrival of the woman certainly made Landon and Nara surprised.

"As the judge has already decided, Harvey will be in my care"." Jessica said with her overbearing face.

"I won't let my son be with you Jes, you can't be Harvey's mommy" said Landon with his sharp glances.

"Cih, then what about you Landon. You used to be a cowardly man who didn't want to take responsibility. "tight Jessica with her flat tone.

Jessica's lawyer explained what happened. The woman smiled triumphantly at Landon not having any power over Harvey.

There was a heated argument between Jessica and Landon. Jessica seemed to be smiling with satisfaction, after she finished taking Harvey along with her after whispering something in her son's ear.

"Mommy's mouth or mommy's gonna hurt your adoptive parents" whispered Jessica in Harvey's ear.

The handsome boy looked glassy, he nodded. Jessica smiled with satisfaction, she immediately took her to the outside of the Landon mansion. Landon and Nara were naturally chasing after him.

Both got into the car and drove away. Landon immediately followed them at a moderate speed.

"Oh my God Harvey, I hope you're okay, baby" murmured Nara in panic.

After following the child far enough they stopped. Both of them looked surprised to see Jessica's car hit.

"Harvey." cried Landon and Nara simultaneously. They ran to Jessica's car. Landon quickly helped his son out, they looked frantically at the sight of blood coming out of the child's head.

Landon then pulled out his cell phone and called an ambulance. Nara herself cried hysterically to see her son helpless.

A few minutes later the ambulance arrived, and they took Jessica and Harvey into the ambulance. They all went straight to the hospital.

"Our son hicks. " Nara was crying in Landon's arms. They seemed devastated to see Harvey's situation. Doctors are currently working on Harvey's garden.

Landon is as broken as Nara. They were really scared of losing Harvey.

A few hours later the doctor came out. Landon lets go of his embrace and invites Nara to the doctor.

"How is our son's doctor? " ask Landon.

"I'm sorry if I have to say this" said the doctor.

"Your son is in a coma while the woman with your son is paralyzed in his leg" the doctor said.

Like being struck by lightning in the morning. Landon and Nara were so shocked by the Doctor's confession. Nara again cried hysterically, unable to hear the situation of Harvey, son. Landon himself looked surprised, he was crying too.

"We have failed to keep Harvey, dear." murmured Nara in a soft tone.

Landon returns the lover's embrace. Only the sound of their sobbing could be heard coloring the current atmosphere.

After a few minutes they stood up and went to Harvey's room. Nara's heart melted after going inside. The woman approached and then grabbed the child's hand.

"Mami Nara and Papi are here baby. Sorry we failed to protect you son. " murmured Nara in her desperate tone.

Landon was sitting next to him, rubbing the child's head with his own eyes. The tightness now hit his chest looking at his son's weak body.

Nara repeatedly kissed her son's tiny palm. He kept the boy talking. Sometimes she wiped her tears violently.

At about one o'clock, Lizzie and Edgar arrived. Lizzie also cried, seeing the current state of Harvey.he also invited her adopted son to talk.

After being satisfied, they sat on the sofa chatting. Nara explains the incident to Lizzie and Edgar.

"We have failed to protect Harvey from Jessica" Nara murmured in a tone of regret.

"It's not your fault Nara, Landon. Right now our focus is only on healing and Harvey is aware of his coma "said Lizzie wisely.

The woman wiped her tears. He did not expect that the child would experience such a terrible thing.

Lizzie POVs

Dear Harvey, come to your senses, son. Mommy, Daddy, Papi and your mom love you so much. Don't you want to play with Arion and Gyana a lot. Mommy can't see you in a coma like this, baby. Mommy Lizzie wants to see you laugh like you always do. We all love you very much and quickly realize, baby!

She chose to hug her husband, trying to hold back her tears that were almost out again and again. Edgar let out a heavy sigh, rubbing his wife's trembling back. What Harvey is going through right now is everyone's grief.

The man let go of his embrace, he let his wife go. Lizzie approaches her son's bed. He gently rubbed the child's head, then landed a kiss on Harvey's forehead.

"Mommy Lizzie here baby. We won't let you feel scared and lonely" Lizzie murmured sincerely.

"You don't want to play with your two sisters, do you? " ask Lizzie with her small eyes.

"Don't you ever say baby if you won't let mommy cry? "

Lizzie is crying again. He kissed the child's hand, and the woman was sitting next to Harvey. The handsome boy still closed his eyes to this day. Lizzie's outstretched hand touched Harvey's cheek lovingly.

"So soon realize dear, we are all waiting for you" he said, forcing a smile.

While in the other room, Jessica seemed to be screaming hysterically. The woman could not accept that she was paralyzed. The doctor immediately gave a sedative injection to the rampaging Jessica.
