Home In Cemetery
Chapter 3. Pregnancy and Strangeness

Several people took Karmila by car to the hospital, including Qori, the younger brother of Karmila himself because in fact Qori Dan Karmila already has no father and mother anymore and they have only been living with his uncle and aunt.

Ms. Lela did not participate in taking Karmila to the hospital and handed her daughter-in-law over to her aunt and Qori because she did not want to miss the child's burial. Actually, Bu Lela's heart is sad to let go of Karmila just like that. However, she also had to watch her son's last funeral.

After everyone got into the car, Fadli drove straight to the nearest hospital, until there Karmila was immediately handled by a doctor.

Everyone was waiting outside with a chaotic mind. They were very happy to see the state of the Karmila family where when her husband was dead and in the process of burial Karmila instead had to lie weak in the hospital and could not watch the funeral of her own husband.

A few moments waiting for the examination room to open suddenly revealed a doctor who walked towards the door.

"Sorry which husband?" Fadli and the middle-aged father who was carrying Karmila's body to the car just looked at each other.

"I'm sorry my sister's husband didn't go to the doctor." Qori answered because the aunt and the other residents just kept silent not knowing what to answer.

"Oh, this sister is his family?" the doctor asked Qori and the girl nodded as she said, "Right Doc, how is my brother currently doing?"

"Your brother's condition has improved and no more convulsions. Maybe a few more minutes will come to a realization," the doctor explained as he stared at Karmila again.

"Okay Doc, then thank you very much. Hopefully my brother will be able to regain consciousness soon" said Qori.

"One more thing I want to say and please tell her husband later when it comes that the patient is pregnant and please take care of his mood. From the examination I did earlier I found that the patient had an inner shock. If it continues this will be dangerous to the condition of the fetus and its own mother, it can even cause the womb to miscarry."

Hearing the doctor's explanation everyone who had taken Karmila to the hospital shed tears.

"Well Doc, I as his sister will also try to maintain the mood of Karmila, Kak" said Qori.

"Good, family support is very much expected so that the condition is fine and if it can make the patient always in a happy state until the baby in the womb is strong."

"Good doctor."

"I'll excuse you first for treating the other patients, later if this patient is aware please call me in my room or if you do not know can ask the nurses who are here they will surely with heart will show me where my room is."

"Okay Doc thank you."

The doctor nodded then walked out of Karmila's ward.

After the doctor left all the residents who took Karmila into the Karmila nursery and instead cried hysterically all but the men. They were very sad to see Faiz leave even when his wife was pregnant.

"That's why mothers don't cry later we'll make people panic. Later we can be scolded by other hospital residents because it is considered to disturb their peace

"What are you crying about? This is the fate of my nephew and his son. God intended the child to be born an orphan" said the uncle.

They all nodded and stopped crying.

A few hours passed and Karmila finally came to her senses and called out the name of her husband. Bibi and Qori try to strengthen Karmila and convey about her pregnancy and advise not to think too complicated because the baby could have a miscarriage.

Karmila nodded and tried to hold back. He did not want to be too late in his grief despite being so difficult.

Seeing that Karmila was conscious and calm, people said goodbye to go home. Bibi tells Fadli to bring the car back with the people and she and her husband and Qori will look after Karmila until she has fully recovered.

While in the house of Karmila people were still crowded when Faiz's coffins were carried to the final resting place.

Dug, dug, dug, dug.

"What's that sound?" The people carrying the coffins paused for a moment to listen to where the voice came from.

"You misheard, where is the sound? If the voices of the women are usually noisy," said a person who walked behind a crutch that was carried.

They also continued their steps. Although Faiz's house was near the cemetery, but the hole that people make is located at the end there so that their journey on foot is quite far let alone plus the burden of Faiz's body as if very heavy for them.

Dug, dug, dug.

"Replace dong!" ask someone to someone else because their shoulder hurts.

The people from earlier were just accompanying, taking control. Some of them replaced others.

"It's really heavy" said a man with a grimacing expression.

"It's very heavy, it's worth you guys the road was slow from earlier."

"Yes, my hand feels cramping and tingling when it only carries a coffin for a moment," said someone who had just been replaced by others.

"Let's go again!"

They began to move towards the burrow for Faiz to be accompanied by a voice

Dug, dug, dug.

This time the sound was accompanied by vibration.

"Astaghfirullah, it seems true that voice is from inside the coffin."

"Are we off guard to the point of admitting an animal like this?"

"No idea, it's probably a little mouse and invisible to our eyes."

"Maybe."

"We do not need to talk much, speed up our steps to get to the hole!"

"It's a very heavy problem Mr. Ustad, our legs seem to be unable to move."

"Oh." They complain when they force themselves to move forward.

Duk, duk, duk.

The sounds and vibrations are getting louder and louder. The people who were carrying the coffins almost fell down as if they were being exhaled by a strong wind.

"Ahhh, let's just put the coffin down first!" shouted someone holding the front coffin.

"Good."

They immediately put the coffins in unison. The crust was seen shaking violently above the ground.

"Astaghfirullah azim." Mr. Ustadz seemed to be reciting prayers while the others had run in disarray due to fear.

For a moment the coffin seemed silent and Mr. Ustadz called for more people to carry it back. However, those who were already far away were reluctant to approach back.

Seeing the neighbors had finally left the close relatives of Faiz who took over carrying the coffin.

Nothing happened until the body reached the tomb of Faiz. People who peeked and did not see any more awkwardness finally helped deliver the corpse back.

However, people were immediately shocked when the coffin opened the corpse in front of him instead sitting down.

"Let's!" People ran straight away.

Seriate.
