Half of My Husband's life

Half of My Husband's life
I'm the Lucky one

Along the way Andra just kept silent while looking out the window. I do not know what he was thinking so reluctant to speak, until only a word was said.

"To the hospital."

Without answering, Mingho drove to the hospital.

"You go home, I can take a taxi later" Andra said again when she arrived at the hospital.

"What's wrong with her?" tanya Tomi looked at Andra's back which was getting away into the hospital.

"I don't know." Mingho replied then leaned against the car door.

"Is it something to do with Hafizah?" ask Tom again.

"I think he's really in love. Just look at him so fondly when we're going to visit that boarding school."

"I think he's in trouble." Tomi went into the hospital.

"Wait, it's a matter of feeling. We can't interfere" Mingho said, instead, following Tomi inside.

"Of course we have to interfere, or the problem will get more complicated, like a time bomb that when it explodes everything will hurt" Tomi explained.

"Oh, that sounds scary."

The second step stopped when it was in front of the VIP room, the slightly opened door made a gap for the two people to peek.

Andra was looking down in front of the hospital bed where on the bed was seen someone sleeping with bandages on his legs, hands and face. It was as if I was lifeless.

"I have to how Brother, what should I do so that brother does not suffer like this" he said sounding sad.

Silence then, only the sound of medical devices kept going, and the wall clock sounded alternately.

Then he sat down and grabbed his brother's delicate finger, lasting until evening.

"Thank you for being my secretary for today" Mingho said at the morning meeting.

"Of course, I'm the only secretary." Hafizah.

"May I know, Mr. Andra-"

"Sorry." Mingho had to take the call immediately and it seemed important.

"What?" he said with a tense face. "All right, I'll be right there."

"A..what's up?" ask Hafizah to worry.

"Sir Andra is in the hospital, his brother is in an emergency" Mingho said later, immediately reaching for the bag on the table and leaving.

While in the hospital, Andra was sitting confused, her face pale and so agitated waiting in front of her brother's nursery door.

"Andra." call Mingho half-running towards him.

"Sister is dying" Andra said with eyes that began to wet.

"Calm down, everything's gonna be fine." patting Andra on the shoulder.

Shortly after, the door opened and a nurse came out.

"Suster?" call Andra.

"Sorry sir, the patient is still in treatment" replied the Sister, can be heard Andra in there the doctor is trying very hard.

Andra could not bear to wait outside, until she barged in and approached her brother.

"Sister." call her to hold her brother's shoulder and cry. The woman's lying chest rose and fell so tight.

"You'd better wait outside." asked a nurse to Andra.

"No, I'm afraid my brother is dead" he said, feeling the hope for life was already very small.

The panic continued, the state of the woman named Indri was still unchanged, even her heartbeat was getting weaker.

"Wake up, I don't want to be alone in this world, I don't have anyone but you." Andra was crying.

But a few moments later Indri's state began to calm down, his chest was no longer lifted, his heart returned to normal.

"Alhamdulillah."

One of the words that was heard beside Andra's ear. He turned his head and it turned out that Hafizah was beside him.

"Don't cry, she needs your prayers" Hafizah told Andra, who looked at her in shock.

And unexpectedly Andra hugged Hafizah so tightly, crying and spilling all her worries.

"Andra" said call Mingho also reminded that Hafizah is very uncomfortable.

"I'm really alone" he said, still not letting go of Hafizah.

"We're with you." whispered Hafizah slightly stammered.

"Andra, we better get out." Mingho grabbed the shoulder of the man who was already at home hugging the Hafizah.

"My brother" he said looking over again.

"Let the doctor take care of it." Mingho is a little interesting Andra.

While Hafizah was still fixated on Andra's treatment of her, she really didn't expect that to happen.

And again, the woman before him looked extremely pitiful.

"So, what's causing him to be like this?" tanya Hafizah looked at the woman from head to toe.

"He was in an accident, had a hard impact on the head and other parts.it seemed like he was not wearing a seatbelt." explained the doctor while correcting the location of the infusion.

"Astaghfirullah, the severity of the accident made him like this" said Hafizah grimacing in horror.

Azzam, he remembered Azzam back then. Maybe death is better than lying stiff like the brother of his superior, life sick, death difficult.

"O Allah" he said closer, reaching for a pale-looking fine finger. He felt pity, imagining the position that the woman was feeling.

"Hafizah, let's go out."

It turned out that Mingho had come back in and asked him to come out.

"All right." Hafizah released Indri's finger slowly, then went out ahead of Mingho.

"The patient was crying" said one nurse, as if she were amazed.

"There's progress." The woman's doctor immediately double-checked her pulse.

While Mingho stopped at the exit listening to the doctor talk, with many thinking he also turned to Andra and Hafizah who were now sitting in the waiting chair away.

The day passed so quickly, it did not feel like several months had passed.

Being a routine activist for Hafizah now come to Indri which every time in Hafizah visit shows progress. Fingers that were cold sometimes move a little.

Bizarrely.

But not for Hafizah, without despair in the middle of free time he tried to continue to give time to the brother of his superior. Hoping that Indri can recover like that, Andra helps Ara get excited again.

"Thank you for everything" Andra said that afternoon, they had just returned from the hospital.

"For what?" asked Hafizah smiling slightly, while getting down from Andra's car.

"For... Already my friend." replied Andra with a big smile.

"Right, now we're not just superiors and subordinates, but friends." They laughed together. Seemed happy after a long time the two kept their distance despite being close.

"I'm lucky I have a friend like you" Andra suddenly praised.

"I should have said that" Hafizah replied as she walked in.

"Yes, but I'm really the luckiest to find you."

Speech that coincides with the closing of the elevator door to the top floor.

Hafizah felt his heart beating twice as fast. Glanced for a moment then tried to focus on the door before them.

But unlike Andra, he did not turn his eyes on that sideways face, until the elevator unwittingly opened again.

"Morning." Mingho and Tomi were standing right before them, seemingly surprised by Andra's attitude.

"Yes, I have to get my stuff." Hafizah passed, and Andra also came out, but was arrested by his two assistants, forcing his superiors back into the elevator.

"What are you guys doing?" annoyed Andra justifies his suit.

"You better be honest about what's really going on, before things get complicated" Mingho said in a serious speech.

"Before your feelings demand to lie forever." Tomi spoke up.

"It seems too late."
