Half of My Husband's life

Half of My Husband's life
Falling in Love Doesn't Need a Reason

In the modest house, Hafizah was sitting pensively after serious talks with Ahmad. Again he imagined Azzam still exists. Until the sound of his phone ringing is disturbing.

Hafizah immediately grabbed the flat object. "Nur." he muttered.

"Assalamualaikum Sak." Nur's voice from across the phone.

"Wa'alaikum salam warahmatullaah."

"Sister, Abi's going home tomorrow. It's best for Sister Fiza to stay here with Ara." Nur told me.

"Alhamdulillah, finally Abi can go home" he said very happy.

"Yes, and we should gather, welcoming the arrival of Abi and also our brother who likes to fight." Nur chuckled a little.

"Truely, the atmosphere would be very crowded if he had gone home." Hafizah laughed happily.

"All right, that's all. Assalamualaikum." Nur.

His mood slightly improved hearing the news of the return of his father and brother. He rushed to prepare clothes to stay at the boarding school with Ara.

Six months he had not met his father who underwent treatment and one kidney surgery in Singapore, and that was the reason why his father did not come home when Azzam died.

"Where are you going?"

So surprised Ahmad saw Hafizah carrying a large bag when he came out of his room.

"Ah, Brother will return to the boarding house with Ara." replied Hafizah as usual, smooth and slow.

"Is Sister Fiza offended by our conversation?" Ahmad looked at Hafizah with much thought.

"Hemm, Brother just..."

"Sorry, I'm sorry Brother. I don't mean to ban or offend Sister Fiza. I just want to remind you that he's a stranger to Sister Fiza."

"I know." replied Fiza quietly. "Not only is he a stranger, but right now we are also strangers" Fiza replied.

"Kak_"

"When Mas Azzam leaves, we can't stay unattended without anyone else as my mahram." continued Hafizah again.

"Then I will return to the Battalion, Brother is here." said Ahmad slowly.

"But Brother does have to go to the boarding school, not because of your presence. This is your house, too, Ahmad." Fiza is explaining.

"No, my sister, I'm really sorry. Please don't leave this house, it's yours."

Whether it is just feeling, or it is true that Ahmad put his heart on Hafizah, it makes Hafizah more and more wrong.

"Son." call Ahmad again.

"Abi is coming home" replied Hafizah explaining the reason for her return.

"Abi?"

"Yes." replied Hafizah happily, of course it straightened out a little misunderstanding between them.

"I'm coming along."

"He liked Hafizah." Mingho's voice broke the silence inside the car. "I think you like it too" he said again.

"You know what the reason we accepted him to work was." Andra turned her head, then looked back at the street.

"Yes, but falling in love doesn't need a reason either."

"I'm not sure." answered Andra, not caring.

"Then you prepare to accept the invitation from Hafizah and her husband's sister."

"You know where it came from?" Andra clucked in annoyance.

"Since when I don't know everything related to you, including Hafizah and the young Sergeant. I think he's going to propose to Hafizah soon."

"Omong empty."

"We're going to the hospital." Andra's orders don't talk about Hafizah anymore.

"If you like, don't act dislikefully, because for a man a mate must be pursued, not wait and hope." Mingho was still talking, no matter what his superior reaction was. He was convinced that Andra's kindness was not just for a reason, but was mixed in feelings.

"I want my brother to heal" Andra said softly.

"It was difficult, although it could have been a miracle" Mingho replied.

"I'll keep trying." she leaned in sadly.

The atmosphere of the pesantren is soothing, the scenery can not be anywhere when the santri and santriwati are wearing long uniforms that make the shade of the eye look. Not to mention the melodious voice they teach, it certainly makes Hafizah feel comfortable in the first morning he stayed there.

"Who picked up Abi Nur?" said Hafizah when Nur had returned from the mosque.

"Let me and the driver." Nur put his face on the wooden table.

"Sister wants to come along" he said as he carried Ara.

"Sister not working?" tanya Nur looked at the face of ayu Hafizah.

"I'd better get permission today." Hafizah grabbed the phone handle of the room.

"Until you memorize the phone number." murmured Nur as she passed.

Hafizah looked over while waiting for the call to be made.

"Assalamualaikum sir, this is my Hafizah. Can I ask permission this day not to go to work?" without further ado he immediately spoke to the point.

"What's wrong?" so was Andra's short question.

"Abi has just returned from Singapore, she has been ill for a long time and Alhamdulillah has now recovered" explained Hafizah.

"really?" it seems Andra is thinking.

"True sir, I was in the boarding house at Abi's house. Can I get one today?" I repeat a little nervous.

"All right."

"Thank you so much sir, assalamu'alaikum." hung up.

Slightly glancing at the front dormitory, Ahmad seemed to be removing the skull from his head, standing looking towards the house of Hafizah. 'For a long time he looked like Mas Azzam.'

Hafizah shook his head slowly, unwilling to imagine how together with Azzam, and began to realize that Ahmad was not the younger brother he knew when he married Azzam. 'Maybe going home to the boarding school for a while is the best option.'

Crowds of santri children began to be seen filling the front gate welcoming the arrival of Kiyai the owner of the boarding school. No exception Hafizah and the ustadz ustadzah also stood in the front row elongated. Until the black car entered the vast pesantren yard.

"Assalamualaikum Kiyai." their voices greeted as the car door began to be opened by the family driver.

"Wa'alaikum hail warahmatullaah" he answered slowly.

The hands of the ustadz took turns to welcome, except for the Ustadzah and the santriwati who only cupped their hands to the chest while praying their best for the health of their guide Kiyai.

"Abi." call Hafizah slowly.

Kiyai's old eyes glazed when he saw the face of his eldest daughter who was sad mixed with happiness to welcome his return.

"I'm sorry, Abi was not by your side when Azzam left" he said, then hugged Hafizah tightly, stroking his shoulders hinting at the word patience.

"Fiza wants to go home Abi." she says in her father's chest.

"Yes, you've returned to Abi's property after your husband left. Go home to your house."

The crying spread to many people there, feeling how sad it was to lose the figure of Azzam who was a young ustadz there.

"I'm with you Brother." The youngest brother named Ningrum hugged both of them.

"So too." Nur didn't want to miss.

But only a difficult look can be explained Ahmad, eager to be part of his late brother's family, which he really admired for a long time.
