Episode 23 Jealousy

Alif met Rehan in the classroom corridor this morning. Alif had just wanted to tell me about his meeting with someone at the terminal and it might have something to do with Rehan.

"That time in the terminal..." Rehan cut in.

"Masyita, a distant cousin who is on vacation here, attended college 4th semester in Bandung."Alif chuckled, Rehan knows what he wants to ask.

"He is also a missionary activist, maybe Alif is interested, as long as you don't have a problem with more mature women" Rehan continued. Alif laughed again, knowing Rehan was joking.

"Kirana knows, right?"

"Alif's worried Kirana's gonna get jealous?" Rehan is back. Alif just shrugged his shoulders.

"Masyita, a cousin who was like a sister to me despite our age. He even really wanted to meet Kirana."

"Same money?"

"Don't you forget I'm older than our classmates?" Alif immediately nodded in understanding.

"Thank you for helping Masyita out at the terminal and thank you for worrying about Kirana too."

 Alif apologized he didn't mean to offend Rehan about Kirana.

"We can still be friends, Lif?" Alif dejavu he once said the same thing to Kirana even though at that time Kirana just nodded yes. He took a deep breath and immediately shook Rehan's hand.

"I will support you." promised Alif sincerely.

While Rehan was praising Alif in his heart, you were a great man. Deserve Kirana so hard to express her feelings for you, buddy.

Kirana receives Rehan's message via Whatsapp, she will introduce her cousin. On Sunday tomorrow they promised to meet at the riverbank that Kirana used to come to fetch water with Kiara. Kirana wondered what Rehan's cousin was like. According to Rehan, he was very similar to his dead sister.

he had helped her at the terminal at that time. Let it be a surprise, Rehan thought.

"The rod that refuted the rope broke" Grandpa Hasan said as he removed the broken stick from the bike

Kirana. Water-filled jerrycans fall on the riverbank grass around them.

Alif helps Kirana pick up the jerry cans and arrange them. Grandpa asked Kirana to wait a while, she would make a new giraffe stick from a tree trunk not far from them.

Kirana was grateful that day to be able to meet Grandpa and Alif again in the river and help him make a new stick. Grandfather also asked Alif to check the condition of Kirana's bike there might be something that needs to be fixed as well.

Kiara came to them, on her bike also hung a lot of jerry cans ready to take home. But Kiara chose to accompany her brother there. He knew Kirana must be awkward with Alif. He tried to melt the atmosphere and tell silly things that made them laugh amusedly, grandfather also came along

it was nice to see Alif and his friends like that even though he understood what happened between Alif and Kirana.
