πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

After finishing half a bowl of meatballs. Egi and Zahra went home to rest. Today it becomes history in the way of their household life.

This happy news spread from mouth to mouth. Both the Egi and Zahra families are welcome. Adnan who knows from his mother also looks happy. Soon his little cousin will be in their midst.

"Make sure the baby's funny. I want to have a baby too, .." said Adnan.

Like most pregnant women, Zahra experienced nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy. Even so, he still maintains the intake of nutrients for the survival of the fetus.

During his wife's pregnancy symptoms caused Zahra to have a badrest for several weeks. Egi quickly replaced Zahra. Every morning he cleaned the house, washed the clothes and cooked breakfast.

He may have used the services of a maid. But Egi did not do it. He sure can take care of the house as well as the wife. His profession as a lecturer was time-consuming, but he never complained of being tired. However, right now Zahra needs more attention.

Zahra was not spoiled, the reality of her weak body. However, he also did not want to continue like this. Sometimes when Egi has to work, he continues to do his own activities without the help of his husband. He also never protested about the food that Egi served in the morning.

"Darling, I made you some porridge." Egi carried one bowl of porridge on a tray, sitting beside Zahra. "Get it, yeah, honey."

Zahra pulled her body to stand up, leaning her back against the bed rest. "Thank you, Mum."

Egi scoops the porridge, blows for a while, then thrusts it into Zahra's mouth. "Don't say thank you. We're husband and wife, we're supposed to be looking after each other."

Egi put a soft spoon into Zahra's mouth, slowly Zahra chewed the porridge. Tastes good, the right seasoning makes the appetite increase.

"It doesn't feel like you've been 12 weeks now." Swiping slowly Zahra's belly wrapped in bear-patterned pajamas. "I hope time passes quickly. I can't wait to see our son."

Egi again fed Zahra until the bowl was clean. The nausea began to disappear, slowly Zahra can digest food well. Although occasionally the feeling of wanting to vomit remains present.

"Today I went to college, Mas" said Zahra.

"Are you sure?" Egi kept the bowl of porridge on a small table, took the drinking water in the glass and gave it to Zahra.

Zahra grabbed a glass, drank it slowly and almost half of it went into the stomach. The feeling of fullness began to feel, he also stroked his stomach slowly. "God willing, Mas. I'm sure, our Baby must be helping his mother to be strong."

"Then you must go and come home with me."

"Yes, Mum."

"Oh, yeah, I have to get out of town for two days. Do you mind if you go home to your parents first? I'm just afraid something will happen if you have to die at home alone."

Zahra. I don't know why there's a sense of unwillingness when Egi says that. His heart churned asking to come along, but his mind said something else. Currently he was not alone, there was the safety of other lives in his body.

"Why not answer? Don't you let me out of town?" Egi pinched slowly on Zahra's nose. "To be honest, I don't want to go either. But, Brother Rendy needs my help. You know, Adnan still needs to learn. So, for a while I was the backup when Rendy couldn't attend."

Zahra was grim, her mood turning dark. The clear liquid started to jostle out, surfing freely on Zahra's cheeks.

"Don't cry, honey. I was only there two days. I promise you, I'll bring you something special, "persuade Egi.

"Ma-sorry, Mas .. somehow a-" said Zahra.

"Trust me, I'll be home once the business is over. Even though it was midnight, "cut Egi while gently stroking Zahra's long and black hair.

"Sorry, Mas. I was a little spoiled during pregnancy."

"No problem" said Egi. "Come, I'll help you stand up. Isn't it time to go to science?"

"It looks like we should get you some new clothes soon. I wonder why your stomach is slightly bigger than your gestational age. Could it be our twins?" guess Egi.

"Huh, twins! I'm imagining how to give birth to it later."

"Yes, just give birth, honey."

Zahra's eyes glared sharply and He was weaving his lips, annoyed. "Uncle, it was so easy to give birth. I'm even horrified to hear the stories of people on social media. But they still enjoy it."

"Why do you always call me Uncle, if you're upset?"

"Ah, yes, I forgot. I don't like being called uncle." Zahra laughed softly. "But, I like to look at Mas's expression when annoyed."

"So you like it? All right, I'll be pissed all day." Egi was about to step.

"Why is your uncle angry? Should I?" Zahra snorted in annoyance. "Actually the pregnant one is me or uncle anyway!"

The one who heard that immediately turned around. Egi said, "Obviously you are, honey. If I'm pregnant, how do I give birth?"

Zahra laughed.

"Don't laugh. You're just asking the absurd," said Egi. "Why am I so upset lately?"

"Maybe baby, Uncle."

"Call me uncle again! I'm really upset"

Zahra approached Egi, breaking down a smile as sweet as honey. "Uncle, I like you to death."

Zahra made her face as a rabbit, persuading Egi who was moping.

"I don't want to be fooled" annoyed Egi.

"Come, Uncle. Uh, wrong-meaning-my Mas-mastered. Don't be angry, I promise I won't forget. If I could, I would write as much as I remembered," Zahra pleaded in a spoiled voice.

Egi kept silent, watching his spoiled wife in hand. There was a sense of unbearability, but at this moment the feeling of resentment was dominating his heart.

"Don't just write it down" said Egi.

"Then, what else should it be like?"

"If you can, you have to remove the word Uncle from the Indonesian dictionary."

"How is it?" Zahra frowned.

Egi shrugged his shoulders, then walked away from Zahra to the door. "If you can't, I'll ask you to give birth to eleven children so I can make a football team."

Egi walked quickly out of the room while laughing content to prank his wife. He imagined the cute face of his wife when he was upset. And in a moment he was sure, the sound of Zahra's nagging would echo in the room.

"Uncle!" shout Zahra. "It was easy for his wife to give birth to eleven children. I've even been dizzy imagining it first."
